Earlier this year Stephon Marbury stated that Michael "Jordan is robbing the hood" with his Nike sneakers during an announcement for the re-release of his affordable Starbury shoes, and we asked Metta World Peace about his thoughts on the statement.
The Lakers baller told us that while he understands what Marbury was saying, Metta believes that Stephon needs to address Nike since they're the ones choosing the price of their shoes. Metta added that the current prices of Jordans reflect the market and the popularity of the shoes.
When asked about what he saw people in China wearing while playing in the country, Metta told us that they predominantly wear real and fake Jordans. Despite it being taboo in the sneaker world to wear fake shoes, Metta admitted that he doesn't really see a problem in it since Nike makes so many billions each year.

Several Atlanta area organizations including Street Watch Radio, Streetz94.5fm, Urban Edutainment, the Georgia Spartans, and Get WELL Soon (GWS), have come together to debut the first annual "Atlanta Turkey Classic & Holiday Dinner Donation" on Saturday November 21st from 12pm-5pm at the Andrew & Walter Young YMCA (2220 Campbellton Rd SW, Atlanta, GA 30311).
This event is a combination of service to our local communities, an investment in the healthy sustainable lifestyle of local Atlanta residents, and a showcase of talent from local celebrities and nationally ranked basketball players who are "Ballin' for a Cause." The Atlanta Turkey Classic & Holiday Dinner Donation event will consist of a distribution of canned goods, fresh turkeys, and additional food items to needy families as well as a celebrity basketball game. Madeline Kirksey, a Christian author, is suing after she was fired from a childcare center for refusing to call a transgender student by a boy's name

(Houston Chronicle) A federal discrimination complaint has been filed on behalf of a Katy-area educator who says she was wrongly terminated for refusing to address a 6-year-old girl as a transgender boy, the teacher's attorneys said Tuesday.
Madeline Kirksey, of Houston, who worked at the Children's Lighthouse Learning Center location on Clay Road, was fired Nov. 3 after she would not agree to treat the child as a male and call the child by a new male name, according to a copy of the filing with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Attorney Andy Taylor pointed to Kirksey's protected class as a black female over 40 who holds religious convictions. "All of those rights were not vindicated but destroyed," Taylor said.

Taylor represented the plaintiffs who challenged the Houston Equal Rights Ordinance, which was originally passed by the city council but was repealed by Houston voters last week. Taylor is joined in Kirksey's case by attorney Briscoe Cain. Kirksey's pastor also attended and spoke at a morning news conference at a Galleria-area hotel.
Reached by phone Tuesday, Jamie Izaks, a spokesman for the Children's Lighthouse Learning Centers, said Kirksey was not fired because of the matter relating to the transgender student. He said he could not comment on matters related to employment.
The learning center franchises, first established in Fort Worth, exist in multiple states, and the company promotes itself online as "the leading values-based educational child care system in the U.S." Izaks said the schools are accepting of all religions and have a reputation for nurturing and raising great students.
Taylor stressed that the child had been attending school since the start of classes as a "little girl."
Using fake names, Taylor said that the child left school Friday as "Sally" and returned on Monday going by "Johnny."
"They had a real issue on their hands," Taylor said of the school staff.
Taylor maintained the child's gender identity wasn't set in stone. He said the child continued to use the girls' bathroom. The 6-year-old also played football with the boys and, when hit hard, cried and said, "I'm really not a little boy."
Taylor likened the imposition of such a decision over gender on a child to "child abuse." At such a young age, he said, kids haven't even decided what ice cream or cereal they prefer.
The attorney praised Kirksey for standing up to protect the child from ridicule, as well as keeping the other children at the school in mind who would have been "mightily" confused.
The EEOC enforces federal discrimination laws on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
Both parents of the transgenger child are male.

Police have made an arrest in connection with the stabbings of two people that took place over the weekend at the home of Wu Tang Clan founder, RZA.
Billboard reports that Thomas Norman is charged with aggravated assault and weapons counts. His bail has been set at $120,000.
Police are still not sure what led to the incident, that occurred on Saturday, November 7th, in Millstone Township.
RZA, real name Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, was not at the home at the time of the stabbings. He was reportedly performing at a festival in Texas.
The two victims were treated at a local hospital and are expected to recover.

Lil Wayne's bank account is about to be $96,000 lighter after he was ordered to pay Pyrotek Special Effects.
TMZ reports that the company was never compensated for the pyrotechnics they provided for Weezy's 2013 tour. They sued the rapper, but came to an out of court settlement. The problem is, they never received a dime from Wayne.
PSE took the Young Money Records boss back to court and and got the $96k judgment.
This latest financial setback comes on the heels of assets being seized from Wayne's Miami home to pay off a $2 million debt to a private jet company.

The Los Angeles Police Department has opened a criminal battery investigation, looking into an alleged attack on a club security guard by Azealia Banks.
TMZ reports that the 24-year old rapper was partying at Break Room 86 in L.A. last month, when she and her crew became rowdy and were asked to leave.
As Banks exited, a security guard says she tried to pull the fire alarm. The guard attempted to stop her, leading to the alleged attack by Banks and her friends.

Big things are popping for Pusha T. Not only is he putting the finishing touches on his next album, King Push, he's also been named the President of G.O.O.D. Music.
Billboard reports that the 38-year old rapper, real name, Terrence Thornton, will take the reigns of the Def Jam imprint, effective immediately. His longtime manager, Steven Victor, is the new A&R.

A big congratulations are in order. Just got word that you will be the president of G.O.O.D. Music. How was the offer presented you?
Actually, I was flying home and I had just got into my car at the airport. ‘Ye had called me and he was like, "Tell me something. What do you think about being the president of G.O.O.D. Music?" And I was like, "Well, what are the things that you’re looking for?" And he was basically just like, to manicure the label, make it profitable and be very business-oriented about it going forward in a manicured type of way.
What was going through your mind in those four months since? Any pros and cons that you were weighing?
It wasn’t really any time to me. I always look at it as an opportunity to help the team and I think that artistically, me and Kanye have the same vision. He respects me as an artist, a really manicured artist. I’m not out here shooting in the dark, doing any and every thing. When it comes to albums and things like that, I have a very manicured process in which I get to take my time and I think he sorta respects that I get to take my time. It’s never no pressure simply because I think he looks at me and my other businesses and understands that’s why I have this luxury of time in whether it be my clothing stores, my clothing line, just things like that. He just notices me and him don’t ever have that type of pressure, tension, producer-artist relationship. I think he respects that a lot and not to mention, ever since I’ve been on G.O.O.D. Music, there’s been a host of artists that I’ve brought to the table, tried to sign, brought to his attention in trying to sign, whether something was super hot or I called it it’s not going to stand the test of time, it’s wack. I been pretty right in a few regards. Those are the things he keys on as far as I go and just as far as being a part of the culture. He knows I’m outside all the time. He knows that I’m of the people. He knows that I’m in those specific mixes of things that are bubbling up, whether it’s online or before it even really gets hot online. He knows I study those different avenues.
In a perfect world, what would G.O.O.D. Music look like to you in the next five months?
I just look at capitalizing on everything that I feel like G.O.O.D. Music brings to the music industry, our following, and the culture. First of all, we have incredible artists. It’s definitely about getting those albums out in a very manicured fashion. We have great artistic talent that sort of walk the lines of bringing that excitement back in regards to just the art that goes along with it like DONDA, the merch and things like that. Things that kids are really into these days. You see how fashion takes over and these pop-up shops take over and how the music business is a real touring business now, just the things associated with it. Just building it out to make sure that everybody on the label is really capitalizing off of all the assets that really come with GOOD Music, that we really started, that we’ve really been good at. Just really executing all the different avenues of music, art, culture and fashion as well.
