The fate of former Bad Boy rapper Shyne who faces deportation to his homeland Belize after serving eight years in prison for his role in a New York City shooting, rests in the hands of Charles Ogletree - Harvard law professor and President Obama insider.
Professor Ogletree is an associate of Harvard Professor Henry Gates of President Obama's famed beer fest.
Shyne's uncle in Belize, Michael Finnegan, who is a member of parliament and the cabinet controlled by Shyne's father Belize Prime Minister Dean Barrow told the media this weekend that:
"All the lawyers who were dealing with his immigration problems, they are totally off the case now.
"The matter is placed squarely in the hands of Professor Ogletree. All legal options or legal directions or whatever the case may be in terms of legal movements, these are now in the hands of Professor Ogletree.
"He has stepped in totally, he was given permission to deal with the situation in all its aspects. [Shyne's] father who is the Prime Minister is one of the best attorneys in this country and I would want to believe he has total confidence in Ogletree, and I believe the family knows what it is doing."
Shyne's estranged father, the Prime Minister of Belize had earlier this week revealed that on the advice of Charles Ogletree, he had written a letter to New York Governor David Paterson asking for a pardon for his son so that Shyne would be able to remain in the U.S.A. despite current U.S. rules that convicted felons be deported to their homeland at the end of their sentence.
Mr. Michael Finnegan has reiterated that the family in Belize has a backup plan should Shyne be sent back to Belize:
"But as I have said to you before, we are optimistic but if worse comes to worse, we are doing all preparations at my home, to have him be there. All the accommodations and construction is taking place to accommodate him if he has to come home.
"If he has to land here and stay for a little while, it will not be long before he uses Europe to work out from. He will go and live in a European country."
The New York State Department of Corrections records show that Shyne was released from the Woodbourne Correctional Facility on Oct. 6th on parole but his release was subject to immigration review.
Shyne was born in Belize, Central America. As a child, he was reportedly spurned by his father due to his illegitimacy and mixed ethnicity.
The rapper relocated with his mother to Flatbush, in Brooklyn, New York City at about age 13. He never acquired U.S. nationality.

LAS VEGAS — When it comes to attracting big names for charity, Justin Timberlake has no trouble. Saturday night in Las Vegas saw the wide reach of JT's star power, with a diverse lineup of artists from Snoop Dogg to Taylor Swift taking part in his second annual Justin Timberlake & Friends Concert, benefiting Shriners Hospitals for Children at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. While last year's show boasted many onstage collaborations, Justin had high hopes for this year's event — which included the aforementioned Doggfather and country queen, plus Alicia Keys, TLC, Timbaland, Ciara and Jay Sean.
"There were a lot of acts this year that weren't able to get here till today, so there weren't as many collabs as I had in my brain," Timberlake told MTV News during rehearsals. "But I think that's always the case, it's kind of like [when] you do an album and you write, like, 40 songs, and then 12 of them make it. ... But still, just having everyone out and getting to see them do their set — there are a couple of things that have never been performed onstage. There's a new song from [Timbaland] tonight, from his record that we did together. I think Snoop's doing a new song from his new record. So it's kinda cool for them too, because it's like perfect test marketing."

NEW YORK — The magic is back. R. Kelly still has it. Friday night at Wamu Theater at Madison Square Garden, the once legal-trouble-ridden singer showed why he's one of music's all-time greats, keeping the audience on its feet for almost all 90 minutes of his performance.
The Ladies Make Some Noise Tour gives R. a chance to dig through one of the deepest catalogs of classics of any current viable act. Surprisingly, almost halfway through the show, he spoke about his legal battle and victory.
"This is the first tour since my court case," said Kells, who was found not guilty on 14 counts of child pornography last year. "I'm still here. I'm still here!" he said with palpable sincerity, garnering applause. Then he started singing, "Thank you, Jesus."
"When I was walking outta court, I was singing to myself, 'Heaven, I need a hug/ Is there anybody out there ready to embrace a thug?' " he added.
Friday night's R. Kelly concert once again showed that the singer has mastered every area of live performance. Some women were literally climbing over barricades to dance in the aisle as Kelly closed with two of his signature records, "Step in the Name of Love" and "Happy People."
But Kelly could have closed with any of the many timeless hits that he's put out during the past 15 years. Much like Jay-Z or Mary J. Blige, Kells performs to audiences that obviously have their own personal relationships with the records and the music forever stamped in their hearts.
The concert started off with a red carpet being rolled out and female audience members standing onstage behind a velvet rope, making the scene look like the entrance to a hot club or a major industry party.
Kelly came out in sunglasses, jeans, a black T-shirt and a sport coat. He went from his "Flashing Lights" freestyle to a frenzy-causing medley of celebrated tunes: "That's That Sh--" went into "Wonderful," which went into "We Thuggin'," which went into "Thoia Thoing," which went into "I'mma Flirt."
It seemed like he could toss out records forever. Then he stopped and spoke — or rather sang a melody to a stagehand.
"Can you move that carpet, please?/ 'Cause I almost tripped three goddamn times." He repeated this impromptu, sing-songy request a few times before talking to the crowd: "Y'all know I make a song outta everything. Y'all laughing, but that sh-- be on the radio."
Kelly then paraded out even more classics, including "It Seems Like You're Ready" and "Bump N' Grind," before adding some new lyrics to the show. He made up a song about women with no junk in the trunk.
"Little-bootie girls, would you stand and turn around/ Slap it and ask the big-bootie girls, 'How you like me now?' "
This transitioned into "Feelin' on Yo Booty."
Kelly's covers added another dimension to the show. He impersonated Ron Isley when singing the song he wrote and produced for the legend, "Contagious." The crowd took over the duty of singing Kelly's part on Mr. Biggs' record.
During a break, Kelly saluted Michael Jackson. He played a videotaped message of himself in his studio surrounded by plaques he received from working with the King of Pop. He then showed footage of MJ dancing in a car to "Ignition (Remix)" while director Brett Ratner drove.
Kelly's last tribute of the night was one he said his mother would definitely enjoy if she were still living. That was to Sam Cooke. Dressed in a tuxedo and red bow tie, the R. returned to the stage for rousing renditions of "Bring It on Home to Me" and "A Change Is Gonna Come."

Madonna is spending so much time getting into the groove that she's driving her neighbor crazy.
The Material Girl has turned her Central Park West apartment into a makeshift dance studio, and her stomping should get her evicted, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed yesterday.
"Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train . . . to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators," claims the suit, filed by Karen George, who lives above the singer's seventh-floor pad.
"Ms. George has been forced to endure blaring music, stomping and shaking walls for approximately one and a half to three hours each day," the suit against the building board says.
The board says Madonna has already been threatened with eviction if the dance sessions don't stop.
Attempts to contact Madonna's spokeswoman were unsuccessful last night.

Entrepreneur P.Miller recently joined HUD secretary Shaun Donovan to break ground on the newly rebuilt B.W. Cooper Housing Projects in New Orleans.
The refurnished mixed-income development represents a goal Miller had to bring development money into his community. Initially, Miller’s goal was inspired by observing mogul Donald Trump and then working with business banking and financial management specialist Keith Mays.
As always, Miller hopes his work will be an example to his old colleagues in the music industry and those throughout his native New Orleans community.
"I want to be able to show these guys look at me. I changed my image, I changed my life and I had to grow up,” Miller explained. “I’m honored to be a part of the ground breaking alongside President Obama’s right hand man Secretary Shaun Donovan who shares the same goal as me, which is to help B.W. Cooper residents get back into their new homes.”
4 years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, many areas in New Orleans remain ravaged and deserted. Secretary Donovan detailed that 30,000 families were still awaiting disaster help, as “duplication of benefits” rules left many homeowners without the necessary funds needed to finish home repairs.
"We worked closely with the state and the city to get services to them so we could help them with whatever challenges were keeping them from getting into a permanent home,” Donavan stated. “And as you heard today we made a number of changes to speed assistance to help rebuild homes.”
Formerly the B.W. Cooper Projects, the community has been renamed Marrero Commons after activist Yvonne Marrero, who passed away following Hurricane Katrina.
At press time, the development is scheduled to open to residents by the end of 2010.
P.Miller’s next community project will be Onemilliongifts.org, an ambitious directive to give one millions gifts to children in New Orleans by Christmas 2009.

Floyd 'Money' Mayweather is not someone you want to trade blows with — in the ring or over the radio.
As a professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather has 40 wins under his belt. As a business mogul, Mayweather lives up to his nickname "Money Mayweather" — his last three title fights generated close to $300 million in revenue. And as an entertainer, Mayweather loves to floss.
Boxing and hip-hop fans alike may remember that 50 Cent was a member of Mayweather's ringside entourage at his 2007 super welterweight fight against Oscar De La Hoya. It was this friendship with 50 that launched Mayweather into an ongoing verbal sparring match with 50's rival Rick Ross.
When Rick Ross dropped the line, "That Mayweather money looking funny in the light" on the track "Mafia Music" in reference to the rumors that Mayweather allegedly owed the IRS over $6 million, Mayweather understandably took offense. He hit back at Ross in interviews, criticizing Ross' pre-rap career as a corrections officer, saying, "If I need someone arrested, I'll call him." And when the Rick Ross and Triple C's track "Go" dropped, the war between the two heated up. The video began with Ross saying, "F--- Floyd Mayweather," before continuing to make fun of the sparrer's IRS problems.
"I just think that when you are one a certain level, you just let things go by, "Mayweather said about the situation. "I'm a fighter. That's what I do. I'm into contact. He's a rapper. That's what he do. The thing I'm gonna do is stay in my lane and let him stay in his lane."
But it seems Rick Ross is a fan of Floyd Mayweather — in fact, Rick Ross was at the Ricky Hatton fight. "He paid money to see me ... I appreciate the donation from Rick Ross," Mayweather said.

Jimmy Kimmel’s dating scandal is growing.
The late-night host started romancing his new girlfriend, who is one of his employees, after getting rid of her boyfriend, who also worked on Jimmy Kimmel Live, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
And before he ditched Molly McNearney’s boyfriend, Jimmy and then-girlfriend Sara Silverman used to double date with the couple, a source close to the situation told RadarOnline.com exclusively.
While David Letterman’s own dating-an-employee scandal has resulted in an extortion charge against one man, Kimmel has a potentially explosive situation on his hands that has alienated members of his staff and calls into question the fairness to other employees of the boss dating a staffer.
News recently “leaked” from Kimmel’s show that he’s dating Molly McNearney. RadarOnline.com then broke the news that several staffers were extremely upset, worried about favoritism and one even blamed being fired on the situation.
Molly McNearney
Now we’ve learned that McNearney, formerly an assistant writer on the show, was dating a man who was also an assistant writer in a relationship that started a few years ago. The two were very serious about each other.
But, according to a source close to the situation, Jimmy had been attracted to Molly for quite some time, and moved her boyfriend off his show, in a maneuver that made it easier for him to connect with Molly.
Jimmy got the boyfriend a job writing for another show, but his actions stunned the man.
The source told RadarOnline.com: “The guy was totally shocked because he had become good friends with Jimmy and had frequented Kimmel’s NFL Sunday parties for his staff and friends at his Los Angeles home.
“Jimmy acted like a total snake no matter what way he tries to spin it – just like Letterman he abused his power by promoting Molly and everyone knows it.”
According to sources, the couple decided to call it quits this past summer allowing Kimmel to seriously pursue the woman he had been constantly courting.
