Much has been made of the feud between 50 Cent and Officer Ricky. Most have categorized their rivalry as being beef, but the G-Unit boss sees it differently, choosing to instead categorize it as battling.
In a recent interview with MTV, Fif reiterated that he doesn't wish death on the Miami rapper, but does question the motivation behind him starting the rivalry to begin with.
"When you look back at that entire scenario you say, 'what was the motivation of it, like where did it start?' He says it started because I looked at him the wrong way. That just means he wanted to compete, he wanted to move up, he wanted to create an awareness for himself... and he did it," 50 said. "This is why they changed the terminology from battling to beefing. Battling was always a part of the culture. They didn't do that until the 2Pac and Biggie situations. That's when it became taboo to actually mention an artist's name."
It's been a minute since we've heard from the Funk Doctor, but he's back. Still chiefing on big blunts and working on a film production company with Method Man, Redman let Montreality know what else he's been up to lately.
Back in July Method Man announced that he and Red were working on the movie How High 2. While there is still a new Red and Meth movie coming, it's unlikely it will be titled How High 2.
"Red and Meth is opening their own production company," Redman said. "We wanna call it Blunt Brothers Cinema. We're working on the name for it. We're having a little bit of a problem solidifying the name, but we're trying to a a movie under our own company now. How High 2, the company Universal owns that name. They own the characters in the movie. So that means we can't take How High to another company and use them characters," he explained. "So what we're gonna do is work on shooting our own movie. It will be marijuana related, and we're gonna do it. We're gonna move to Cheech and Chong stages."
Redman went on to confirm that he is working on Muddy Waters 2, and that he and Meth are going to dropping a single in 2012 for their Blackout 3 project.
Amber Rose has a lot on her plate as of late. She is designing a winter coat collection for Members Only,is working on two new films and a lot more.
"I have two movies that are gonna come out," she told BET. "One is Just Add Water, which is a sci-fi thriller, where I play a top security to all the Androids on a spaceship. Then the 2nd movie is Gang of Roses, where I play a bounty hunter that is after all the girls who have been robbing banks. And I'm also a butch lesbian. It was actually a really hard role because I'm naturally very feminine in my mannerisms. So I just hung out with Wiz and the boys... studying how they move, how they sit. I literally walked around the house all day talking like a guy. Just to really execute the part."
Amber has been logging time in the recording studio as well.
"I'm also working on new music. I'm doing club, house music... upbeat," she said. "My inspirations are Missy, Pitbull, Fergie—I love the sound of her voice. "I'm in the studio like every single day. It doesn't matter if I work 18 hours I'm going to the studio. I'm really taking this seriously. I always wrote music, but it was always something very personal for me. But I brought my music to Wiz [Khalifa] one day and showed him everything and he was blown away. He was like, ‘Baby, you have to do this. Like, you have to. I know you’re quiet, I know you’re shy, but you know when I’m in the studio, It's like Sasha Fierce. I just turn into a whole different person. It’s really cool. You guys are going to really enjoy it. I actually might just drop a song soon and just put it out there so you can see what it’s like."
You can also catch Amber on BET's Master of the Mix show every Saturday at 12 a.m. where she will serve as a judge alongside Kid Capri and Vikter Duplaix.
Check out the full interview below, as well as pictures from the Master of the Mix season 2 premier held last Thursday.
Justin Bieber has agreed to voluntarily take a paternity test to prove he's not the father of a four-month old baby boy.
The singer is being accused by 20-year old fan Mariah Yeater of fathering her child in 2010, after the two were introduced backstage at a concert at the Los Angeles Staples Center.
Yeater claims after meeting the then 16-year old singer, she was asked to go with him to a more private location.
"When we got to what turned out to be a bathroom, his whole demeanor changed," Mariah told The Insider. "It went from cute and gushy to, just, more aggressive."
Bieber has publicly denied ever meeting Mariah.
"I know I'm going to be a target, but I'm never going to be a victim. It's crazy, every night after the show I've gone right from the stage right to my car, so it's crazy some people want to make up such false allegations. But to set the record straight, none of it is true," Bieber told NBC's Matt Lauer last Friday.
According to TMZ, Bieber's legal team is arranging for the pop star to take the paternity test when he gets back from Europe in ten days. They then plan on suing Mariah after it's proven Bieber isn't the dad.
Mariah isn't backing down though; telling the Daily Star that the baby resembles Bieber.
"Look, just look at his mouth," she said. "Look familiar? I pray that Justin sees theses photos, looks at Tristyn and knows in his heart that this is his child and out child. It's going to be a nightmare for all of us if he keeps denying it. I just want what is right for our son I feel terribly hurt that we have been abandoned and none of my calls to Justin were returned."
It must be noted that Mariah has reportedly accused two other men of fathering her baby according to The Daily Mail. She has also been accused in the past of of battery domestic violence, injury/destroying property of another and making threatening telephone calls after an incident with her ex-boyfriend

Drake's highly anticipated sophomore album, Take Care, leaked onto the internet last night. The only positives to come out of this negative situation are No. 1, the disc is just a week away from it's official release date. And No. 2, it's possible good word of mouth might actually help sales.
That seemed to be Drake's outlook when he addressed the leak via Twitter last night.
"I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank god it doesn't happen a month early anymore," he wrote on the social networking site. "Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it...and take care until next time."
Do you still plan on copping Take Care when it drops?
A Des Moines, Iowa, woman has been arrested after setting her former best friend's house on fire following a dispute on Facebook.
Jennifer Christine Harris, 30, was arrested on a charge of first-degree arson, with a bond set at $100,000.
Harris stands accused of setting fire to the house of Jim and Nikki Rasmussen, after Nikki unfriended her on Facebook.
The two had a out due to a party they were planning for Harris. When plans for the party fell apart, Harris started making derogatory comments about Rasmussen. That's when Rasmussen made the decision to block her.
“I unfriended her and blocked her so I couldn’t see what she was saying,” Rasmussen told the Des Moines Register. “But we have mutual friends who could see it.”
The fire damage caused the Rasmussen's garage to collapse.
Harris had been a teacher’s associate at Smouse Elementary School in Des Moines. She was placed on unpaid leave following the incident.

Odd Future has been catching a lot of flack for their controversial lyrics, but until now it hadn't affected their concert appearances.
The rap collective has been kicked off the bill for New Zealand's Big Day Out Festival due to complaints about their homophobic lyrics from local resident and activist, Calum Bennachie.
Bennachie penned a letter to the festival's organizers detailing why he objected to Odd Future's appearance.
"If it is acceptable to say something similar to 'gays are a cancer on society that deserves to be eliminated', then what group would be next? Bennachie wrote according to the New Zealand Herald. "By allowing Odd Future to play at BDO, you are proving that you have little concern for the lives and welfare of LGBT people, that you are willing to endanger their lives, and seek to encourage stigmatisation against them. I find this disappointing in an organisation that could do so much to enhance the self esteem of youth, reduce stigma, and discourage violence."
The Auckland City Council owns Mt Smart Stadium where the festival is being held. After the complaints reached their office they had Odd Future pulled from the bill.
Tyler, The Creator has denied being homophobic despite the fact that his album, Goblin, uses the word 'f*ggot' and its variants a total of 213 times according to NME.
"If you call me a n*gga, I really don't care, but that's just me, personally. Some people might take it the other way, I personally don't give a sh*t," Tyler told NME back in June. "I’m not homophobic. I just think 'f*ggot' hits and hurts people. It hits. And 'gay' just means you’re stupid. I don't know, we don’t think about it, we're just kids. We don’t think about that sh*t. But I don't hate gay people. I don't want anyone to think I’m homophobic."
