Lenny Green of New York radio station 98.7's Kissing After Dark show got a major announcement out of Lil Wayne during a recent interview.

Lenny was chopping it up with Weezy about Cash Money signing Teena Marie prior to her death and the possibility of them signing more r&b acts when Wayne revealed they had signed veteran rock group Limp Bizkit.

"As far as Cash Money, they're always listening and looking at acts," Weezy said. "So honestly it's like every other day I'm hearing about somebody new just signed to Cash Money. Not speaking about r&b. Just for example, the other day I found out Limp Bizkit signed to Cash Money."

Wayne also mentioned that Cash Money was in talks with Ashanti.

"I don't want to step across any boundaries right now, but I think we're working with Ashanti," he said.

Ashanti just formed her own label, Written Entertainment, and has already secured distribution for her next album through eOne Music so it will be interesting to see what develops there.

When Rihanna made the decision to get cozy with Chris Brown again she probably knew there would be some backlash from the media, fans and her mentor Jay-Z. Turns out she was right in all three cases--especially Jay-Z's.

RadarOnline is reporting that the man responsible for signing Rihanna to Def Jam Records at the start of her career is "deeply disappointed" in her decision to let Brown back into her life.

"Jay was absolutely disgusted by what Chris did to Rihanna. Jay doesn't understand how a man could ever lay hands on a woman; it just goes against who he is and about," a source told Radaronline. "Chris is absolutely dead to Jay, he wants nothing to do with him ever. Now that Rihanna is hooking up with Chris and recording songs with him, Jay is deeply disappointed in her actions. He can't fathom why Rihanna is doing the things she is doing. He understands the need for forgiveness, but he is adamant that Rihanna shouldn't forget what Chris did to her. Jay wonders what kind of message this is sending to Rihanna's young female fans. Rihanna knows how Jay feels about Chris, but she doesn't care, she is going to do what she wants."

Rihanna is 24-years old now. Is it time for Hov to let her live her own life or should he be concerned?

Before Whitney Houston's untimely death the singer was making plans to turn her life story into a movie. Actress Meagan Good told E! Online recently that she was in line for the lead role in the film.

"We were fairly in the beginning stages," Good told Marc Malkin of E! Online on Monday February 20th at Vanity Fair and Juicy Couture's Vanities party at Siren Studios in Hollywood. "We were supposed to meet today actually."

Good added that the ending of the movie was going to play a major role in the development of the project..

"My feeling is because she has the film Sparkle coming out and she's brilliant in it and she looks beautiful and healthy," Good said. "My feeling was that's how we should end the movie...as a new beginning for her."

While it may be too soon to think about still making the movie at this point Good said Houston will be remembered as maybe the best ever.

"I don't think we've ever had a singer in history that I remember that could sing like her," said Good.

Good also said that if she were to ever play the part she wouldn't attempt to use her own singing voice.

"When people see someone's life story they want to hear that person's voice because they connect with it, in their spirit and their soul. So you would have to use her voice."

Do you think Good would make a good choice to play Whitney in a movie? Let us know what you think in the comment section below.

Video After The Jump

Teairra Mari is getting ready to drop her debut album on Rico Love's Division 1 Records. Rap-Up TV catches up with the singer on the set of the project's first single "U Did That."

“The video is gonna be very sexy, lofty feeling,” explained Teairra. “I’m just serving gritty, but glam and grit.”

Much-buzzed-about MC 2 Chainz rolled through to make a cameo. “I thought she was a cutie pie,” said the Def Jam signee. “It’s a good look for both of us, coming from where I come from, me being a more street label artist and her campaign crossing up, so it should really look good on film.”

Elton John has picked the person he would like to portray him in an upcoming biopic.

Justin Timberlake is said to be ready to take on the role as soon as a director is chosen.

"We're searching for a director," Elton's husband, David Furnish told E! Online. "It's important we all share the same vision. Elton and Justin have had conversations about it. Justin also says he has to feel comfortable with the director and the director has to be comfortable with Justin. The chemistry is really important. There's no race to make this. We're just going to take the time to make it right."

The movie will be titled Rocketman, and has already been written by Lee Hall.

Furnish said they could also bring the story to Broadway, but not until the film had been made.

"We haven't ruled out a [Broadway] musical," Furnish said. "But we just want to do the movie first."

After their recent musical collaborations most people think Rihanna and Chris Brown have already hooked back up. They haven't, but according to friends it looks like only a matter of time before they do according to TMZ.

The two singers want to try to make it work again despite the disastrous end to their relationship the first time around.

"You can't hold back love," says one source.

Meanwhile "Birthday Cake" producer The-Dream says the idea for remixes were Rihanna's.

"It was Rih's idea," he told Billboard. "Not only do we work together, but [Rihanna] is a friend of mine. And it's like, 'You wanna do something? Then cool, let's do it.' I don't know how she got the logistics and how it happened -- maybe she'll talk about it one day. I showed up at the studio, and it was like, 'All right, cool, let's finish this record,' which we probably should have finished the first time we did it."

12349225466?profile=original

Dream says if Rihanna can forgive Brown then nobody else should have a problem with it either.

"I think [the topic] that should be more on the tongues is: how do we proclaim to be a nation of forgiving, and we go by all of these rules and everything, but we can't actually do it?" he says. "It actually makes you look weaker than your adversary -- if you don't have the power to forgive, but you lie and say that you did. Because this is about her. If she can forgive, that's where she is mentally. As a friend, it's like, 'Okay, cool. Let's roll.'"

This is one rumor that would be great if it turned out to be true. The New York Daily News is reporting that Nas, Common and Q-Tip could be forming a super group.

Common and Q-Tip formed The Standard in 2007, although they have yet to release any music. That could soon change as Q-Tip is currently in the studio working on his solo album which would free him up afterwards.

The Daily News reports that an insider has told them The Standard would like to add a third MC to the group. Given the fact that Common and Nas are already planning on releasing a joint album, it would not be far fetched to see Nas join The Standard.

When asked if he would be working with Q-Tip and Common on their project Nas told the Daily News, "definitely."
