YOBE, Nigeria (Associated Press) — Survivors say suspected Islamic militants opened fire in a mosque in northeastern Nigeria and gunned down at least 20 worshippers.
Civil servant Musa Ibrahim said the gunmen struck before dawn Saturday as residents of Buni Gari village were gathering for the first prayer of the day. The village is about 100 kilometers (60 miles) south of the Yobe state capital of Damaturu in an area that has been attacked numerous times.
Mosques have been a frequent target of militants who threaten Muslim clerics who preach against their extremist doctrine.

The boy genius Sonnie Carson comes through with his Most Likely To Succeed mixtape as promised. The Don Cannon-hosted mixtape has features from Bravo, Paul Cain, Ransom, Styles P, Vado, Freeway, Latif, Fraz, Joffy and Avery Storm.
Production credits go to Buckwild, Canei Finch, Reefa, Nick Brongers, Heatmakerz, Epic, DR Period and S. Jones.
Compton, California rapper The Game is being investigated for felony domestic violence after an argument with his fiancee, Tiffney Cambridge, allegedly turned violent.
According to TMZ, the couple had a dispute on March 19th that turned physical. Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, reportedly punched Tiffney in the face repeatedly. She suffered an injury to her eye socket and a broken nose.
Tiffney filed a police report over the weekend. Photos of her injuries were taken. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department has launched a criminal investigation into the incident.
Sources close to the 34-year old rapper acknowledge that something happened, but insist he never laid a hand on his fiancee.
Game issued a statement to TMZ:
"I don’t want to give fuel to these false accusations, but the truth will definitely come out. I am always looking out for my children’s safety and have never laid a hand on Tiffney."
