Video After The Jump

Bangladesh and Cash Money Records have set aside their past differences and are doing business together once again.

Many of you may remember Bangladesh as the producer who said he was never paid for producing Lil Wayne's "A Milli." That dispute simmered for quite a while, but Bang recently told MTV that he has signed a production deal with Birdman and Slim.

"We just did some nice business together. They just bought a whole bunch of tracks, that's about it," Bang said. "They gave me a song deal, basically, first song deal I ever had, so shouts out to Cash Money. Everybody respects each other, and real recognizes real. At the end of the day, the work is solid, so everybody wants to be in business with each other. Our issues, we resolved the issues, so it was time to move on past that and do other business. It's a big step, because it went from negative to positive, so you could show people that you can always work things out."

LRG is proud to present Windy City emcee Add-2′s latest mixtape, “Save.Our.Souls.” Hailed for his poignant and conscious lyricism, the entire mixtape feels completely cohesive – making it feel more like an album than an assortment of tracks that were recorded with no sonic direction. With production duties handled most notably by 9th Wonder, Add-2 seems to be the next emcee to blow up. Just don’t forget where you heard him first.

Now that Whitney Houston's cause of death has been determined, fingers are starting to be pointed in different directions.

Bobby Brown's sister Leolah Brown appeared on HLN's Dr. Drew show and said Ray J may have provided Houston with cocaine. Brown claims she saw Ray leaving Houston's hotel on the day she died.

"Why is he hiding his face? He's always trying to show his face when he's with Whitney. Why now? Why you trying to hide, Ray J?" she asked. "When I first heard she passed away I said, 'my God somebody gave her a bad bag.' I promise you that was the first thing that came out of my mouth. And then I saw Ray J, and it all added up."

Brown also accused Ray of being a "runner boy" who "knows somebody that sells drugs," which he supplied Houston with.

"I am going to believe that [it was] Ray J - who Whitney told me she had no relationship with," Brown continued. "Now this is a young boy who's running around telling people he is a boyfriend of Whitney's, but I know clearly that he wasn't. He was like she said, a runner boy."

Ray is defending himself against the claims. His publicist Courtney Barnes issued a statement to E! News today denying any involvement in Houston's death.

"Though Leolah Brown was nowhere near the Beverly Hilton hotel on the day Whitney Houston died, [HLN's parent company] CNN proceeded to broadcast an interview with Ms. Brown in which she falsely claimed that Ray J was at the hotel and contributed to Whitney Houston's death," reads the statement. "Even the most minimal inquiry with anyone actually in contact with Whitney would reveal that Leolah Brown had been out of contact with Whitney for more than a year and was nowhere near the scene on the day of her death."

The publicist warned that legal action would be taken against any media outlets that "republish these defamatory stories" without verifying the truth first.

The L.A. County Coroner's Office determined Whitney had used cocaine just prior to her death, but none was found in her hotel room.

Leolah Brown claims Ray J was Whitney Houston's cocaine supplier

50 Cent has proven that he knows what it takes to make a hit record. All he needs is the right beat from a producer and you can bet it will become a smash.

Vibe recently caught up with the multi-platinum rapper to find out if he's ever thought of possibly switching gears by producing records himself.

"No, I don't wanna get producer's ears," 50 said. "What I mean by that is the producer hears his snare, his kick and what he thinks his keys should be on the actual record. And sometimes they can't hear something that's hot that someone else done. Because they're into that little pocket."

Fif added that making a hit record requires several different elements coming together.

"I know when I hear a hit and to write the content," he continued. "Because a hit is a marriage between the production and the lyrics and your tone [of voice]. So a hit record is as much the artist having the right tones."

We'll get a chance to hear some more hit records from the G-Unit boss on July 2nd when he releases his fifth studio album.

DMX and his management team have responded to the lawsuit filed by booking agent Heavy Rotation.

As we previously reported, X is being sued for $630,000 by HR for a failed international tour. The company claims DMX's continued legal problems prevented the tour from happening leaving them with financial losses in excess of $740,000

Domenick Nati, publicist for DMX, told AllHipHop that the lawsuit has no merit. He also says DMX is moving forward with his comeback tour without them.

“I would like to make clear that DMX’s management team is facing legal issues only with Heavy Rotation Booking. HR Booking is a previous promoter who DMX and his management have terminated their agreement with,” Nati said. “The ‘DMX Undisputed Comeback Tour 2012′ is a completely separate tour than the one with HR Booking.”

DMX's management said they terminated their deal with HR because the company sent falsified passport documents to promoters overseas in order to book the tour dates.

AllHipHop reports that Heavy Rotation hasn't responded to the allegations against them.

A biopic about troubled Wu Tang Clan member Ol' Dirty B*stard has landed a top notch actor for the leading role according to Entertainment Weekly.

Michael K. Williams, who played deadly stick up man Omar in The Wire and Chalky White in Boardwalk Empire will portray the rapper in the movie Dirty White Boy.

The flick will center around the relationship between ODB and Jarred Weisfeld, "a 22-year-old VH1 production assistant who through a lot of hustle (and the occasional lie) talked his way into becoming the rapper’s manager when Jones was serving a three-year stint in prison in the early 2000s"

12349265667?profile=original

Weisfeld was instrumental in ODB's comeback when he was released from prison in May 2003 and signed to Roc-A-Fella Records. Unfortunately he died from a drug overdose in 2004 at age 35 before the comeback fully materialized.

Dirty White Boy is being produced by Lars Knudsen and Jay Van Hoy.
