The "Red Table Talk" host posted a TikTok video just 4 days before Sunday night's ceremony, & it was all about hair ... "Being a Black woman and dealing with hair in Hollywood, in the era I came up in, having your hair look as European as possible was always the thing & that was really challenging because I liked my hair out wild & curly."
Jada says ... "I feel the freedom today. I don't give two craps what people think of this bald head of mine. Because guess what? I love it."
So, now the question ... if that was Jada's mindset going into the Oscars, was Will's reaction really about hair, or was it about simmering anger toward Rock? As you know, during the 2016 Oscar ceremony, Chris took potshots at both Will & Jada ... trashing Will's movie, "Wild Wild West," & calling Jada irrelevant after she said she was boycotting the ceremony.
Sources connected to both Will & Chris tell TMZ, there was love lost between Chris & the the Smiths & when Will & Jada watched Chris they were braced for another shot.
Chris delivered the shot & Jada's eyeroll may have been more about, "You see, he did it to us again," than anger over the hair reference & when Will saw her, he just lost it.

TAMPA, Fla (WTSP) — The man convicted of fracturing his girlfriend's infant daughter's skull while she was away at work back in 2018 will spend the next 25 years in prison.
After serving his prison sentence, Demarcus Johnson will then serve 5 years on probation, a judge ruled Monday.
Johnson tried to cover the crime up with lies when the 3-month-old baby's mother arrived at her home.
Johnson told his girlfriend that "nothing unusual happened" before she returned home from work that day & found her daughter unresponsive the morning of July 13, 2018.
The child survived the abuse due to life-saving emergency brain surgery after she was airlifted to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg.
A child abuse expert testified that the infant suffered such "violent, abusive" head trauma from being forcefully shaken & suffering a strong blow to the left side of her head that she lost the ability to move, eat or even cry.
During the trial, evidence was presented showing that the abuse left the 3-month-old with multiple skull fractures & internal bleeding. A doctor even described the child's skull as broken into fragments like "puzzle pieces."
Johnson was found guilty on Jan. 28, 2022, for aggravated child abuse with great bodily harm.
State guidance recommended a minimum of 6.5 years in a Florida State Prison. The maximum sentence for the crime was 30 years.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Black News Channel shut down a little more than two years after it went live as the first all-day news network in the country aimed at African Americans.
The network that was the creation of former U.S. Rep. J.C. Watts and largely funded by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan closed operations Friday evening.
“Management advised us today that it will lay off substantially all the network’s employees and will suspend most network operations, with immediate effect,” the network’s board of directors said in a statement.
The network closed its Twitter account and it’s Facebook page said it is permanently closed.
The goal of the network was to reach Black audiences with stories that give a broader perspective about their community than what other networks provide. When it went live in February 2020, Khan would not say how much he was investing in the network, but said it was enough to keep it going for years.

Chris Rock is NOT going to file a police report -- at least for now -- against Will Smith after the latter smacked him squarely across the face ... but the window is still open.
LAPD brass said Sunday night that they were aware of an incident during the 94th Academy Awards between two individuals ... in which one person slapped the other. Obviously, they're referring to Will & Chris -- but they also note ... CR declined to press charges.
They add ... if Chris wants to file an investigative report at a later date, he can do that & they'll be all ears.
Now, as for how exactly the cops got involved in this has been a bit of a mystery until now -- namely, nobody really knew if they were called or if they actually spoke to Chris directly. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... there were LAPD officers on site during the actual incident, whom we're told witnessed the hit & then approached Chris' team thereafter.
Essentially, they watched what they believed to be a crime ... otherwise, they wouldn't have approached him. Since Chris said he wasn't interested in pursuing it, it's routine in a case like this for cops to stand down.
Presumably ... Will could be dinged on assault & battery, but at the moment -- it doesn't seem he's going to face any repercussions for what he did. It's also unclear if the Academy will hold him accountable.
As you know by now, Will struck Chris on stage during the live broadcast following a joke the comedian cracked about Jada Pinkett -- which was about her shaved head ... a direct result of the alopecia she suffers from.

Will Smith may be asked to hand back his Best Actor gong following his live onstage assault of Chris Rock, industry insiders told The Post.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which handed out awards Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, has strict guidelines in its code of conduct.
One highly placed Hollywood source told The Post after the incident: “It’s basically assault. Everyone was just so shocked in the room, it was so uncomfortable.”
“I think Will would not want to give his Oscar back, but who knows what will happen now,” the insider said.
Meanwhile, the Academy cryptically announced from its official Twitter account: “The Academy does not condone violence of any form. Tonight we are delighted to celebrate our 94th Academy Awards winners, who deserve this moment of recognition from their peers and movie lovers around the world.”
Smith was seen laughing and posing with photos following his win, as industry bigwigs like Judd Apatow hit out.
“Knocked Up” director Apatow was highly critical of Smith in a now-deleted tweet: “He could have killed him. That’s pure out of control rage & violence. They’ve heard a million jokes about them in the last 3 decades. They are not freshman in the world of Hollywood & comedy. He lost his mind.”
TV comic Fortune Feimster tweeted: “Someone in the audience charged the stage Friday night during my opener’s set & attempted to throw the speaker, started taking swings at the people trying to stop her and pushed down a security guard. It’s scary times. So, no, I don’t find someone getting hit on stage amusing.”
The Academy's conduct code, released back in 2017 in the wake of the sexual misconduct scandal that hit the industry, emphasizes the importance of “upholding the Academy’s values,” like inclusion, fostering supportive environments & “respect for human dignity.”
At the time, AMPAS CEO Dawn Hudson wrote to members: “Academy membership is a privilege offered to only a select few within the global community of filmmakers.”
“In addition to achieving excellence in the field of motion picture arts and sciences, members must also behave ethically by upholding the Academy’s values of respect for human dignity, inclusion, and a supportive environment that fosters creativity. “
She added: “There is no place in the Academy for people who abuse their status, power or influence in a manner that violates recognized standards of decency. The Academy is categorically opposed to any form of abuse, harassment or discrimination on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, age, religion, or nationality. The Board of Governors believes that these standards are essential to the Academy’s mission & reflective of our values.”

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The man arrested Friday in the fatal shooting of a 21-year-old who confessed to killing a high school student last year is apparently the slain teen’s father.
Bokio B. Johnson, 46, was arrested in connection with the shooting that killed Hollis Carter & wounded a woman Wednesday, New Orleans police said.
An obituary published in 2021 named Johnson as the father of Caleb Johnson, who was 18 when he was killed.
Defense attorney John Fuller has said Carter was killed & his mother critically wounded on the way to a pretrial hearing in the deaths of Caleb Johnson & his 25-year-old stepsister, Breyiana Brown on March 28, 2021.
Bokio Johnson was booked Friday on charges of second-degree murder, which carries an automatic life sentence & attempted second-degree murder — the same charges that Carter had faced.
Fuller told The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate that he had planned to argue in court that Carter’s confession was false & was made because he was afraid of the actual killer.
Carter, free on $375,000 bond, had been due in court for a status hearing on two counts of second-degree murder & one count of attempted second-degree murder.

SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, FLA. (WSVN) - Cellphone video captured the rough arrest of a man in Southwest Miami-Dade.
The rough arrest took place outside United Beauty Supply at around midnight, Friday. Officers could be seen throwing punches at the man as he laid on the ground.
“The officer kept hitting them on the head, hitting him on the ribs, the face. The officer on the other side hitting in the ribs and the face,” said Priscella MacKey, the mother of Javaris Jarrelle Swanson and Quinton Price Charles.
They ultimately arrested four men, Swanson, Charles, Ramzi Wadi & Ahmed Wadi. Police said Swanson & Charles resisted arrest after pulling them over for driving erratically.
The arrest report states Swanson “began to actively resist arrest by tensing his arms underneath his body, not allowing officers to place handcuffs on him … Mr. Swanson was given multiple commands to release his arms to which he refused.”
Officers said, after a lengthy struggle, Swanson was ultimately taken into custody. In addition to the arrests, police also seized 3 firearms.
“He has every right to feel threatened, beat by five or 10 officers on his back as one person unarmed. It’s unacceptable,” said Normekia Bourne, a sister-in-law.
In 2021 an arrest warrant was issued for Swanson after he ran off from another traffic stop and altercation with police.
Court records revealed Swanson was previously convicted of attempted murder & armed robbery.
The MDPD released a statement reading in part, “In our continued efforts of full transparency, we immediately initiated an internal affairs investigation into the matter with our Professional Compliance Bureau. The officers involved have been reassigned to administrative duties. We will continually evaluate this case, as the internal affairs process continues.”
Swanson remains in jail, charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting arrest & reckless driving.
Charles was charged with possession by a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting against an officer with violence, possession of cannabis.
He has since bonded out.
Ramzi Ahmed Wadi & Ahmed Wadi both were charged with resisting arrest & aggravated battery.

The future of Hip-Hop is here; 8-year-old Lil Jeezy brings fresh sound to the table with hot new single
LAS VEGAS, NV – A fun track from a young new artist is lighting up the West Coast and causing quite a buzz among music industry insiders and fans alike. “I’m A Baller” is the debut single from 8-year-old rapper Lil Jeezy. The son of long-time songwriter and recording artist D’jon, Lil Jeezy has burst onto the scene with his own brand of hip-hop that showcases his fun, carefree style and entertaining performance. Written by his father, “I’m A Baller” is a fun, upbeat track that’s all about being good at basketball and football. Inspired by his love of sports, the song also features a short-film that showcases the young star chasing his dreams of being a professional athlete and putting in the work to achieve those dreams.
“I love being active and competitive, and I love shooting the basketball,” Lil Jeezy said. “I like the same type of music as my dad, and I’ve grown up watching him record and produce music, so it’s fun for me being creative. I love telling a story with my lyrics.”
Lil Jeezy’s father was an athlete and has been involved with music as a career for many years, but he’s never encouraged any of his children to follow in his footsteps. He’s been intentional about supporting them in whatever passion they choose to pursue, and for the most part those passions have been with athletics. But for his youngest son, the notion of making music is something that attracted him at a young age and when he was 6 years old he finally approached his father about creating a song together.
“When he was 6 he just out of the blue was like, ‘Dad, I want to do a music video. Can we do it today?’” D’jon said. “I said, ‘Well, we need music first.’ So, we got some production from two-time Grammy-nominated producer DJ Vudu Spellz and I wrote the song. He’s been an athlete for the past couple of years, so when I asked him what he wanted the song about he said sports. When we got ready to record it, he had the whole thing memorized and he took direction very well, as far as vocal production, and he fell in love with the process and now wants to do even more songs.”
D’jon says they’ve been working ever since on building a brand and plan for pursuing Lil Jeezy’s dreams moving forward. Part of that plan involves creating music videos that are more like short films than traditional music videos. That’s where the idea of creating a story called “Follow Your Dreams” came from – something that builds off the themes of Lil Jeezy’s debut song, but takes it further through video mediums and will continue in future videos.
“It’s an inspirational story for kids,” D’jon said. “If there’s something you want to accomplish, put in the work and you can make it happen. With this first video it shows him hanging out with friends on a Saturday morning, and when the friends leave,he gets bored and so he picks up a basketball and he’s absolutely horrible. After a frustrating effort, he sits down on the ball and starts daydreaming. During the daydream he realizes his dream is to become a great basketball and football player. It’s as though, even at a young age, he is such a sports superstar that his games are nationally televised. He has fans and he even has haters. After the daydream is over, he asks his dad to teach him how to play basketball. Being that basketball was his first love, dad becomes elated at his son’s request. Then after months of hard work and dedication, he shows his growth from working hard and there are highlights from his first season ever playing, in which he is much better than he was when he first picks up the ball in the video. He’s a living example that hard work pays off.”
Lil Jeezy is eager for new fans to check out his music and get a taste for the unique sound and style he’s bringing to the game. It’s been many years since there’s been a young artist like Lil Bow Wow or Lil Romeo in the game, and D’jon is certain Lil Jeezy will be able to fill that vacuum with an amazing natural talent. With songs and subject matter that comes straight from the mind of an 8-year-old, Lil Jeezy’s music is nothing short of fun and entertaining.
