Video After The Jump

Everyone has an opinion on who will win the showdown between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. NationBoxing.com recently caught up with comedian Dave Chappelle to get his take.

Chappelle plans on being ringside for the fight, but was a little hesitant to publicly pick a winner for fear of what his wife might think.

"That's a tough one, I'll tell you what. My wife is Filipino, so that's gonna be a quiet night in the Chappelle house," he said. "It's gonna be great, hopefully I'll be in there."

Video After The Jump

The video showing the fatal hit-and-run involving Suge Knight and Terry Carter has been released by TMZ. Knight believes the tape will exonerate him, but the gruesome clip may cost him the rest of his life behind bars.

Cle "Bone"Sloane (right) in a scene from the movie Training Day

As we previously reported, Suge was involved in a fight with security when he went to visit the set of the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton on Thursday, January 29, in Compton, California.

12351438064?profile=original

The fight spilled over to a nearby hamburger restaurant. In the video Suge can be seen pulling his red truck into the parking lot of the burger joint where he is confronted by Cle "Bone"Sloane, an actor and well known former member of the Athens Park Bloods.

Sloane walks up to the truck and appears to struggle with Knight, who is still sitting in the driver's seat, before the former Death Row Records CEO backs up knocking Sloane to the ground. Suge then pulls forward, running over Sloane and Terry Carter.

12351438498?profile=original

Carter was killed instantly. Sloane suffered severe injuries to his leg. Suge then flees the scene without stopping. The video was released by TMZ with the blessing of Carter's family.

12351438287?profile=original

"The Carter family is pleased you are releasing the video so the public can see what actually occurred and not be forced to speculate based on third party descriptions of the video," reads the statement.

12351438894?profile=original

Knight says he was in fear for his life at the time. The video shows another man tucking what appears to be a gun into his pants as he renders aid to Sloane.

12351435272?profile=original

Suge turned himself into authorities on Friday, January 30. He's been charged with charged with murder, attempted murder and two counts of hit-and-run with an allegation that the Compton native committed a violent felony while out on bail pending another case.. His bail is set at $2 million.

12351439068?profile=original

Watch the video above and decide for yourself. Does Suge appear to have a valid reason for his actions?

NFL running back Chris Johnson is currently hospitalized in stable condition after being shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Orlando, Florida on Sunday morning, March 8.

According to ESPN, the jeep Johnson was riding in was at a red light around 4:00 this morning when another vehicle pulled alongside it and started firing.

Johnson was hit in the arm. The driver of the vehicle, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, was killed. A second passenger, Reggie Johnson, 29, was shot in the hand, leg and shoulder. He is listed in stable condition.

"When the driver got shot, Chris was leaning back in his seat texting like he always does. If he wasn't leaning back that shot would have killed him," a source close to Chris told TMZ Sports. "It wasn't his time."

12351422101?profile=original

Chris, 29, spent his first 6 years in the NFL playing for the Tennessee Titans after they drafted him with the 24th pick in the first round of the 2008 draft. In 2014 he played for the New York Jets, who let him go after one season.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and everyone impacted by this tragic event," the Jets said in a statement.

The Orange County sheriff's department has opened a homicide investigation into the incident.

Long Island Hip Hop artist Garc Barz has officially signed with BDL4LIFE Entertainment to distribute his debut EP “Timeless”. Over the past 10 years this young artist has been building a library of new music and conquering the mixtape scene with 2 bronze releases on Datpiff.com. This year, Garc Barz has teamed up with Record Label/Distribution Company BDL4LIFE Entertainment and is set to release his first 6 track EP on March 2015 in over 1000 digital stores His first official video off his EP 'Time is money" just released.

After hearing some of Garc Barz’ recent work, The best term I could use to describe his style would be 'Just Right'. His recent work has not only showcased a flow that appeals to the listeners of today, but he incorporates burst of some extremely intelligent lyrics. As we travel deeper into his new EP we start to see a lot of diversity. He is very capable of making music with an up tempo rhythm and aggressive sound, and then dial back with a track like "Time Is Money' which has more of a laid back melody . In our interview, Garc explained his target audience being "anyone willing to listen".

Stating that his goal was to show the world that he is not a one dimensional artist. Garc Barz made it very apparent that he is not limited to one sound. Although his EP has a taste of different styles of Hip Hop, he still brings it all together and manages to keep the tape flowing nicely and creating anticipation for the next song.

We may be watching the rise of a very significant force in the Hip Hop community. This kind of lyricism, mixed with captivating instrumentals and an entrepreneurial spirit is a great formula for success in this industry. Whether Garc will take full advantage of these gifts remains to be seen. Either way we hope to hear more from him in the near future. Be on the lookout for the 'Timeless EP' in all digital stores March 2015. Check out "Time Is Money" official video out now!

Video And Pics After The Jump

MADISON, Wis. (Associated Press) — Peaceful protesters in Madison took to the college town's streets with chants of "Black Lives Matter" following the fatal shooting of an unarmed, black 19-year-old by a white police officer, who authorities say fired after he was assaulted. The city's police chief said he understood the anger, assuring demonstrators his department would defend their rights as he implored the community to act with restraint.

Tony Robinson died Friday night after being shot in his apartment following a confrontation with Officer Matt Kenny, who had forced his way inside after hearing a disturbance while responding to a call, authorities and neighbors said.

12351440064?profile=original

Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said Kenny was injured, but didn't provide details. It wasn't clear whether Robinson, who died at a hospital, was alone.

12351440266?profile=original

Officer Matt Kenny

"He was unarmed. That's going to make this all the more complicated for the investigators, for the public to accept," Koval said Saturday of Robinson. The department said Kenny would not have been wearing a body camera.

The neighborhood appeared quiet Saturday evening, and at least one Madison Police officer stood in front of the building where the shooting took place. Earlier in the day, several dozen protesters gathered outside the police department, holding signs and chanting "Black Lives Matter" — a slogan adopted by activists and protesters nationwide after recent officer-involved deaths of unarmed blacks — before walking toward the neighborhood where the shooting took place.

16132029504_6b69e1c1fe_b.jpg

The shooting came days after the U.S. Justice Department said it would not issue civil rights charges against Darren Wilson, the white former Ferguson, Missouri, officer who fatally shot 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was black and unarmed, after a struggle in the street last August.

Federal officials did however find patterns of racial profiling, bigotry and profit-driven law enforcement in the St. Louis suburb, which saw spates of sometimes-violent protests in the wake of the shooting and a grand jury's decision not to charge Wilson.

Other high-profile deaths of black suspects at the hands of police officers have prompted nationwide protests, including that of Eric Garner, who died in July after New York City officers put him in a chokehold and a video showed him repeatedly saying, "I can't breathe." A Cleveland police officer in November fatally shot 12-year-old Tamir Rice, who had been pointing a pellet gun at a playground. A Milwaukee police officer who fatally shot Dontre Hamilton last April was found to have acted in self-defense, but was fired for ignoring department policy regarding mental illness.

Koval struck a conciliatory tone Saturday while addressing the potential for more protests in Madison, saying he understood the community's distrust after "this tragic death."

12351440681?profile=original

"For those who do want to take to the street and protest," Koval said, his department would be there to "defend, facilitate, foster those First Amendment rights of assembly and freedom of speech." The promise echoed as a stark contrast to Ferguson, where an aggressive police response to protesters after Brown's death drew worldwide attention.

16753165511_fb61458ddc_b.jpg

The chief said he had gone to Robinson's mother's house overnight and spoken with his grandparents and expressed sympathy to his family Saturday, saying, "19 years old is too young."

Family members at community meeting later read a statement prepared by Robinson's mother, Andrea Irwin.

"I can't even compute what has happened," Irwin's statement said. "I haven't even had a chance to see his body."

Koval said Kenny, who had more than 12 years with the Madison department, also shot and killed a suspect in 2007, but was cleared of wrongdoing because it was a "suicide by cop-type" situation. In that shooting, Kenny responded to a 911 call of a man with a gun and shot him twice after police said he pointed the gun at officers. It turned out to be a pellet gun.

16132029834_973d38741f_b.jpg

A short, first-person biography of Kenny on the Madison department's website says he served nine years in the U.S. Coast Guard before joining the department. He has been placed on administrative leave pending results of an investigation by the state's Division of Criminal Investigation.

A 2014 Wisconsin law requires police departments to have outside agencies investigate officer-involved deaths after three high-profile incidents within a decade — including one in Madison — didn't result in criminal charges, raising questions from the victims' families about the integrity of investigations.

Madison, about 80 miles west of Milwaukee, is the state capital and home to the University of Wisconsin's flagship campus. About 7 percent of the city's 243,000 residents are black. Neighbors said Robinson's apartment is in a two-story gray house on Williamson Street, known to many as Willy Street.

Koval said police responded to a call about 6:30 p.m. Friday of a person jumping into traffic. A second call to police said the man was "responsible for a battery," Koval said. Kenny went to an apartment and forced his way inside after hearing a disturbance. Koval said the officer fired after being assaulted by Robinson; Koval said he couldn't say how many shots were fired because it is part of the investigation.

16566947140_8a4134f64e_b.jpg

One of Robinson's neighbors, Grant Zimmerman, said Robinson would run between his apartment and his roommate's mother's house across the street "all the time, even in the middle of traffic."

16132216014_7061a40138_b.jpg

Wisconsin's online courts database shows that Robinson, a 2014 graduate of Sun Prairie High School, pleaded guilty to felony armed robbery in October and was sentenced in December to three years' probation. A police report said he was among four teenagers arrested in a home invasion in which the suspects were seen entering an apartment building with a long gun. They ran with electronics and other property and three of the four were captured. A shotgun and a "facsimile" handgun were recovered, according to the report.

Koval declined to discuss Robinson's background. "I'm not here to do a character workup on someone who lost his life less than 24 hours ago," Koval said.

A neighbor, Doris King, told the Wisconsin State Journal she asked Robinson about his involvement in the robbery, because it seemed out of character for him.

"He felt he was under a lot of pressure from the others to do what he did," she said. "He told me he would never do anything like that again."

A dark cloud of suspicion has been hanging over Nick Gordon's head ever since his girlfriend, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was found face down and unresponsive in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia home on January 31. She has been in a medically induced coma ever since.

In early February, police launched a criminal investigation into the case, citing facial injuries discovered on the 22-year old daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

12351427489?profile=original

Bobbi's aunt is now claiming Gordon is under investigation for Bobbi's attempted murder. According to PEOPLELeolah Brown posted a Facebook message on Saturday, March 7, detailing her claim. The post was in response to Nick's appearance on the Dr. Phil Show, in an episode that will air on March 11th.

12351427679?profile=original

Dr. Phil,

With all due respect,

Nick Gordon is under investigation for the attempted murder of my niece Bobby Kristina Brown.

We have strong evidence of foul play. Until this investigation is completed by law enforcement, I would ask that you or anyone else not provide this individual a platform to spin this situation to his benefit.

If Nick Gordon does not have the courage to speak with my brother Bobby Brown and/or law enforcement about what happened the day my niece's body was found in a bathtub, he does not deserve to have a platform to speak to anyone of your caliber until this investigation is concluded.

Respectfully,

Leolah Brown

During the taping of the Dr. Phil segment, which was actually an intervention arranged by his mother, Gordon was reportedly drunk, high and belligerent.

According to TMZ, Gordon is hooked on Xanax and alcohol. Nick was so high he could "barely form sentences."

When he found out it was an intervention to get him into rehab he reportedly became angry and punched 2 members of Dr. Phil's staff.

Eventually Gordon entered a rehabilitation facility for treatment for an undisclosed addiction.

When Nia Amey got pregnant with Chris Brown's daughter, Royalty, she was married to a man named Terry Avery, albeit separated .

Avery knew the baby wasn't his so he filed for divorce from Nia in 2014 after 11 years or marriage

12351421656?profile=original

The two have a 13-year old daughter together, so like any dad Avery is understandably protective. When he found out Brown was the father of 9-month old Royalty he reached out to TMZ to issue a warning to the "Dueces" hit maker.

12351426068?profile=original

Avery says he's aware of Chris' notorious temper and advises him not to lose it around Nia and his family or face the repercussions.

WJW Channel 8 suspended anchor Kristi Capel for three days after she uttered a racist term on live television while sitting next to her Black co-anchor, Wayne Dawson.

Capel was discussing Lady Gaga's Oscar's performance on Monday, February 23, when she used the word "jigaboo" to describe part of it.

16538025637_d212db0b86_b.jpg

"It's hard to really hear her voice with all the jigaboo music, or whatever you wanna call it...jigaboo," she said while laughing.

Jigaboo definition via Vocabulary.com: (Ethnic slur) extremely offensive name for a Black person. A person with dark skin who comes from Africa (or whose ancestors came from Africa).

12351441083?profile=original

Kristi Capel

Capel would later issue an on-air apology, explaining that she had no idea what the word meant.

"I just want to take a moment to address a comment that I made yesterday that got a lot of attention," Capel said Tuesday. "It's important for me to let you know that I deeply regret my insensitive comment. And I truly did not know the meaning of the word and would never intentionally use such hurtful language."

The Cleveland Fox affiliate also issued a statement.

"Kristi regrets her actions and realizes the impact of her mistake and the hurt she has caused. On Tuesday afternoon, Kristi met with a group of African-American clergy from Northeast Ohio to begin the process of reflecting on the gravity of this incident. In her on-air apology, Kristi vowed to learn from this experience and has begun that process with help from clergy, friends, family and co-workers."

16558040420_38ccbe14ef_b.jpg

Dawson said he forgave Capel because he knew "her heart" and that she was a "good girl."

"I've been working with you for three years, so I think I know your heart," Dawson told Capel on-air. "And I know you didn't mean it. . . . So my thing is that you learn from it, you move on. It's time to forgive and move on. My prayer is that our viewers forgive and move on because she's a good girl. She really, really is."

Are you buying Capel's excuse?

Video After The Jump

Protesters took to the streets on Friday, March 6, after a 19-year old black man was shot five times by police in Madison, Wisconsin.

Cops responded to a call that Tony Robinson had committed battery earlier. When an officer arrived at his apartment he said he heard a disturbance inside. The cop forced his way into the apartment and reportedly got into a struggle with Robinson. During the fight the unidentified officer was reportedly hit in the head. He then drew his weapon and fired.

Police Chief Mike Koval

"In the context of mutual combat in that sense, the officer did draw his revolver and subsequently shot the subject," Madison Police Chief Mike Koval said.

12351418454?profile=original

Hours after Anthony Robinson was fatally shot by a Madison police officer, his grandmother, Sharon Irwin (second from the right), and aunt, Lorien Carter (pictured with the megaphone), asked the crowd at Williamson Street to keep demonstrations peaceful.

Police said they did not know if Robinson was armed, but initial indications are that he was not.

The officer on the scene administered CPR immediately after the shooting. Robinson was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.

State law mandates that an independent investigation be conducted. MPD froze the scene until the state Department of Justice's Division of Criminal Investigation arrived, according to The Daily Cardinal.

12351418287?profile=original

"You're not protecting us, you're killing us!" Robinson's grandmother, Sharon Irwin, shouted at police as the protests continued into early Saturday, according to The New York Daily News.

16123642073_8ae92f930d_b.jpg

Protesters chanted "Black Lives Matter" and "Justice!"

Robinson's aunt, Lorien Carter, said the family wasn't allowed to see Robinson's body in the hospital because it was considered "evidence."

"He wasn't referred to as 'his son' or 'your son,' just 'evidence,'" she said.
