Nelly is mounting a defense against accusations that he raped a woman in Washington on Saturday, October 7.

As we previously reported, the "Hot in Herre" hit maker, born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was picked up in Des Moines and taken to jail. He was booked for investigation of rape in the second-degree and released a few hours later.

According to news reports, a woman called 911 at 3:48 a.m. to report the alleged rape. She told police it occurred on the rapper's tour bus.

Nelly had just performed at the White River Amphitheater in King County a few hours before the phone call was made.

The 42-year old took to his Twitter account on Saturday to vehemently deny the claim.

"Let me say that I am beyond shocked that I have been targeted with this false allegation. I am completely innocent. I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation," Nelly wrote. "I do want to apologize to my loved ones for the embarrassment and for putting myself in a situation where I could be victimized by this false and defaming allegation. I also want to thank my fans for their unwavering support. They know me. I assure you I will be vindicated. And I assure you, I will pursue every legal option to address this defaming claim. Thank you. In other words y'all know damm well I ain't do no dumm S^*t like this..!! Love ..!!!!"

Nelly is currently in police custody, accused of raping a woman in Washington.

TMZ reports that the 42-year old rapper, born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was picked up early Saturday morning, October 7, after a woman said he raped her on his tour bus at around 3:45 am.

Nelly's been booked on second degree rape charges 

He was set to perform at a concert Saturday night in Ridgefield, Washington.

Nelly's lawyer told TMZ, "Nelly is the victim of a completely fabricated allegation. Our initial investigation, clearly establishes the allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness. I am confident, once the scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation."

It's no secret that Dr. Dre and Suge Knight haven't seen eye-to-eye dating back to their time together at Death Row Records, but their beef never escalated to the point where either one of them tried to physically harm the other.

Knight is now disputing that by claiming Dre put a $20,000 hit out on his life.

Let's backtrack to January 29, 2015. On that day Knight went to the Compton, California movie set where "Straight Outta Compton" was being filmed.

A dispute between Knight and security escalated into a fight, which spilled over into the parking lot of Tam's Burgers, where Knight allegedly ran over Cle "Bone"Sloan and Terry Carter with his truck.

Carter was killed and Sloan suffered severe injuries to his legs.

TMZ reports that In new legal documents filed by Knight, the 52-year old former football player says that he and a private investigator met with a man by the name of Dwayne Johnson in July of 2016.

During the meeting Johnson told both of them that Dre had given him a $20,000 partial payment to "participate in my murder."

Johnson was at Tam's on the day Knight ran Carter and Sloan over, and was allegedly supposed to kill the record executive.

Knight's legal team requested to look at Dre's financial records. Presumably to find out if a payment had been made to Johnson, but a judge denied the request.

Dr. Dre's lawyers told TMZ that the allegations were "absurd."

Knight remains in a Los Angeles jail. He's been charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder and two counts of hit-and-run stemming from the fatal crash.

In convicted he's facing a life sentence.

Lil Wayne may soon be coughing up hefty child support payments if a woman's claim that he is the father of her 15-year old son turn out to be true.

TMZ reports that Keiotia Watson says in legal documents that Wayne, born Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr., got her pregnant in 2001 following a sexual liaison.

She named the child, who was born in February 2002 Dwayne, after his alleged father.

Two years ago Watson went to court in Louisiana to establish paternity and get child support. A judge ruled in her favor and ordered Wayne to pay $5000 a month, but to date Watson hasn't received anything from the "Go DJ" hit maker.

Sources close to Wayne say he was never notified he was legally the father. In addition, he never received any legal documentation solidifying Watson's claims.

The source says the rapper is willing to take a paternity test and will accept full responsibility if it's proven he is the father.

Wayne currently has four children, by four different women.

OVO Sound recording artist PartyNextDoor has run into some legal trouble in Niagra County, New York.

WIVB reports that the 24-year old singer, born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, was on a bus traveling from Ontario back into the United States when it was stopped on the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, Thursday, October 5. 

When New York State Troopers were called in to assist U.S. Customs and Border personnel in a secondary search, PND was allegedly found to be in possession of Xanax.

Another 24-year old man he was traveling with, Jerome Nevins, allegedly had Xanax and Oxycodone on him.

Both men were charged with Seventh-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The two were arrested, cited and released.

They were issued appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Lewiston Court.
