A woman has sued the Dallas Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones for more than $1 million after Jones allegedly sexually assaulted her in 2009.

Jana Weckerly, 27, said in the suit that the Cowboys owner “intentionally and knowingly sexually assaulted” by forcibly rubbing and grabbing her buttocks and breasts multiple times.

Weckerly's lawyer, Thomas Bowers, said in a release that Weckerly is one of the women that was there the night a set of racy photos were taken. Weckerly was not pictured in the photos, which surfaced during this year's Cowboys training camp.

Jones is also accused of forcing Weckerly to grab his penis, kissing her and penetrating her vagina with his fingers.

Weckerly claims that Jones received oral sex from another woman and was asked by Jones to watch.

The suit also claims the Cowboys and Jones conspired to cover up the sexual assault and that Weckerly was told to keep quiet and not say anything “or else.” The suit states Jones and the Cowboys pressured her into signing documents against her will.

Weckerly's attorney told other media outlets in a statement that the alleged sexual assault happened in a bathroom of a local five-star hotel.

He said Weckerly was sober and escaped Jones' hotel room by convincing the group to go dancing.

He also said that Jones started out as a friendly guy who just wanted to party, even offering to put his super bowl ring on Weckerly's finger, but that he continued making advances.

The attorney said Weckerly was humiliated, fearful and angry, and that she's "suffered many other damages, including loss of self-esteem, loss of trust, depression, substance abuse, and suicide attempts."

The Cowboys' lawyer released a statement Tuesday night, saying: 

"These allegations are completely false.  The legal complaint is unsupported by facts or evidence of any kind. This is nothing more than an attempt to embarrass and extort Jerry Jones. This is a shakedown by a lawyer who is simply attempting to make a name for himself.  The alleged events would have occurred more than five years ago."

"We intend to vigorously contest this complaint and expect it will be shown for what it is - a shakedown. Due to the seriousness of these baseless allegations, we have also involved law enforcement."

On a modeling website, Weckerly says she's worked as an exotic dancer, went to hair school and now lives in Oklahoma.

Janay Rice has suffered more than anyone involved in the Ray Rice controversy. She's had to deal with the embarrassment of everyone seeing her knocked unconscious by her husband in an Atlantic City elevator. Then the Baltimore Ravens terminated Ray's contract and the NFL suspended him indefinitely.

Financially the couple should be OK because Ray signed a $40 million contract in 2012. He's already received all of the $22 million that was guaranteed, but Janay is upset at the media for profiting from her family's suffering.

The Baltimore Sun verified an Instagram message from Janay going off on the coverage the story has received.

I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend. But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself.

No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.

Gary Webb was a journalist who wrote a series of articles entitled "Dark Alliance" for the San Jose Mercury News in 1996.

The stories exposed the CIA's backing of the Nicaraguan Contras. The Contras supplied "Freeway" Ricky Ross with cocaine through Nicaraguan exile Oscar Danilo Blandón. Ross built a drug empire by selling the product as crack from his Los Angeles base to multiple states across the country. Many believe this was the start of the crack-era in the United States.

Blandon was the CIA's link to the Contras.

The profits from these illegal dealings were then funneled back to the Contras, with the CIA's knowledge, to fund their war against the Nicaraguan government.

Ross was a pawn in all of this and had no knowledge of the Contras. He reportedly sold more than $33 million worth of crack a day. He was eventually brought down when Blandón set him up.

"Basically, Gary’s story was proven true," Ross told the Pasadena Weekly in 2010 after serving 14 years in prison. "They admitted they knew these guys were selling drugs. And I don’t believe Gary ever said in his report that the CIA was the actual perpetrators of the crime. But if you go with the conspiracy theory that the government uses to convict, the evidence that they had, you could convict on that evidence. A jury could find [the CIA] guilty."

In the upcoming film, The Messenger, the story will be brought to the big screen.

Jeremy Renner will portray Webb. Michael K. Williams takes on the role of Ross. Others starring in the film include Andy Garcia, Ray Liotta, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Michael Sheen.

Michael Cuesta is the director.

The film is scheduled to be released on October 10, 2014. Check out the trailer below.
