Chicago rapper Lighta6000 is Back with a new track Been There Done That

The talented artist is going to drop two more singles before the release of his anticipated Sorry But I Had 2 EP.

Ceeo is the producer on this track at the Street Execs Studios in Atlanta.

An official music video for “Been There Done That” is also expected to arrive once the record picks up traction. In which it well on it’s way to doing so.

Troy Ave and his legal team have filed a lawsuit against Live Nation and Irving Plaza, citing lapses in security that allowed someone to bring a gun inside the New York City concert venue on May 25, resulting in the shooting death of Ronald "BSB Banga" McPhatter.

Three other individuals, including Troy, were also shot that night while backstage during a T.I. concert.

Troy is the only person that has been charged in connection with the incident after he was seen on surveillance footage firing a weapon.

His attorney's John Stella and Scott Leemon have argued that their client "did not bring a gun into this venue." They say he was attacked by an individual who fatally wounded McPhatter and shot Troy in the leg, before the rapper was able to wrestle the gun away.

The New York Daily News reports that the lawsuit was filed Monday, August 8, in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

"He is the victim here. He did not bring a gun into this place. And we are seeking redress for the negligence," said Leemon.

The civil suit states that "As a result of this incident, the plaintiff, a 30-year-old promising performer with his entire career ahead of him, has been left with disabling injuries which will forever affect his life, his career and his pursuits,"

The suit further states that unlike patrons who entered the venue through the front door and were "wanded and patted down," VIP guests were allowed to enter without being searched.

Given the history of "shooting incidents involving Tupac Shakur, Sean 'Puffy' Combs, Notorious B.I.G., and Jam Master Jay." Irving Plaza should have been better prepared in case there was violence, the lawsuit says.

The amount in damages Troy is seeking was not revealed. He is currently free after posting $500,000 bail on July 11.

He's charged with attempted murder, weapons possession and other charges stemming from the incident.

"I'm going through a lot. I just want to get my life back," Troy told reporters.

Compton artists DJ Quik and YG are at odds over the hit song "My Nigga."

The record, which was produced by DJ Mustard, appears on YG's 2014 debut album titled "My Krazy Life."

During a Twitter rant early Monday morning, August 8, Quik claimed that he engineered the song and contributed vocals, but has not been credited.

The rapper/super producer demanded that YG and his reps at Stampede Management make things right before his legal team takes over.

YG's CTE World boss, Jeezy, and the label's distributor Def Jam were also included in the tweets. that made it clear Quik wants his RIAA plaque for the certified platinum tune.

"@stampedemgmt, Y'all had me engineer and record 'My Nigga' for @YG and did not give me credit. My Lawyer has You His sights. You've fucked up," Quik wrote. "@YG be safe on the block I invented. @stampedemgmt @SnoopDogg aren't you all the same company? You don't FUCk with Dj Quik. This will be in the press in the morning assholes. @stampedemgmt @YG y'all not the truth #thestreetstalk. @YG @Jeezy shoot me my engineering credits for stemming and recording vocals on your platinum song 'My Hitta' or whatever u call it. and shoot my Platinum plaque to. @DefJamRecords there's some fugazi on the west with my plaque for 'My Hitta' My wall is missing an Award. #RIAA. YG responded earlier today via Twitter by writing, "Fuck the police @djquik."

Bow Wow is walking away from the rap game after sixteen years. The 29-year old, born Shad Moss, announced on Saturday, August 6, that his seventh and final album titled "NYLTH" will be executive produced by Snoop Dogg.

"My last album will be Executive Produced by my uncle Snoop and myself. Since he brought me in the game, its only right i involve him and end it with him," Moss captioned a photo of Snoop on his Instagram page. "ITS OFFICIAL!!!! THIS SHIT BOUT TO BANG ON MOMMAS! And we aiming and im talking RECKLESS on this album. NOBODY SAFE. THE TITLE OF MY FINAL ALBUM NYLTH."

"Over 10 mil sold 6 arena tours 10 top 10's a few number 4 platinum albums 2 gold albums. IM DONE," the "Fresh Azimiz" hit maker replied to a Twitter user who asked why he was calling it quits.

Comedian TK Kirkland has no apologies when it comes to speaking his mind, and even in this interview with DJ Vlad, he discusses his respect for Kim Kardashian's hoeness, reveals Chris Brown's alleged drug abuse, and even talks about his late brother's homosexuality being a choice versus being born gay.

Before her marriage to Kanye West, the Keeping up with the Kardashians star was involved in some high-profile relationships and was already annulling her second marriage with Kris Humphries. Despite the reality star moving on from her scandalous past, comics won't let that part of her life go. "In a way, you got to respect Kim Kardashian for her hoeness. What women have a tendency of not doing is how to hoe properly." TK told DJ Vlad. "See, if you go around here and f*** anybody, you end up losing."

In addition to the comedian's tips for women, he expressed his concerns for singer Chris Brown and his alleged drug abuse. The funnyman says that he only wishes the best for the crooner and doesn't want to see his downfall like so many other talented artists before him. "The inside scoop says the motherf***** is on drugs real bad, he fired his manager, and they're trying to claim that he stole some money from him." Aware that his comments could receive significant backlash from Brown, he made sure to provide his IG name so they could talk about it in hopes to help him.

Power 105.1 radio personality Charlamagne Tha God gave the "Donkey of the Day" for Monday, August 8, to 49-year old R. Kelly for dating Halle Calhoun, 19.

In Charlamagne's opinion, Kels is a "filthy individual" and "alleged pedophile" who is "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" by taking Calhoun out to clubs.

2016 could be Trouble’s year.

The veteran Atlanta rapper has had the streets’ attention for a while now. An unapologetic product of Atlanta’s criminal underbelly, Trouble has risen above his circumstances while keeping both feet planted firmly in position as a representative of his environment. Never one to sugarcoat life’s harsh realities, Trouble uses this video to show what many do for survival or in the name of flossing.

This visual, shot by Keemotion and The Picture Man captures a robbery in progress as Trouble enlists fellow Atlantan & street poet Spodee for backup literally & lyrically. Spodee has been building up his own momentum with his Trench Music series after a not so amicable split with Grand Hustle last year. In true fighting spirit, Spodee hasn’t looked back to wonder what might have been, instead rushing forward towards his future the same way they rush towards the money in this robbery/video.

Showcasing a classic back & forth flow, the pace of the music is in perfect stride with the video as we move through the Atlanta streets with Trouble & Spodee to hit this lick. Since July 2015, when Hot 97 radio host Funkmaster Flex played reference tracks of Drake songs recorded by Quentin Miller, the DJ and rapper have no seen eye-to-eye.

“They tellin’ lies on Hot 97, that’s how it goes / I told ’em fire Funk Flex, then I’ll come and do your show / Plus, me and Kanye, we just left out the studio / My first night in the Garden, I’m feeling like D. Rose," the OVO Sound boss rapped to the crowd.

On Saturday, August 6, Flex responded via a lengthy on air rant. Listen to it up top and read highlights from it courtesy of Billboard below.

"I got a few stories to tell tonight. I don't know which one I'm gonna tell first," Funkmaster Flex started.

"First of all, Drake, I'm not really worried about you making me lose my job,” Flex said. “70% of your fans wear high heels. The other 30% are guys who wear sandals. I'm not concerned about you."

“I don't know if you noticed, but everything is built on top 5,” he said.

The DJ actually went on to compliment Drake’s talent as an entertainer, saying he makes “great music” and has “great shows” – but alleged that the rapper is not worthy of being in that “top 5" in hip-hop.

"If you have help on your music and on your bars to compete for that top 5 movement, that is an issue to me,” Flex said before launching into several supposed stories about Drake, some highlighted below.

On Drake’s Hot 97 freestyle:

"I’ve never commented on that freestyle, never talked about it,” Flex began of afreestyle Drake did in 2009 while looking at a BlackBerry.

"That freestyle, we rehearsed it first in this room. He had the BlackBerry out ... I had no idea he was gonna leave the Blackberry out," he said.

The DJ alleged that Drake and his team asked Hot 97 to put a video of the freestyle out, despite the fact that he was reading off of a BlackBerry, because they wanted to use its release as proof that he writes his own raps.

“They help circulate the video. I'm wondering, why would they put that out? You told Zane Lowe you didn't know the video was coming out. You calling a lot of people liars. Okay. Video comes out, everybody jokes on him on it, but everyone says, 'Yo, but he got bars.' ... You wanted people to think that you write your bars. You wanted people to think on that BlackBerry, those were yours, that you wrote that. You wanted to solidify that because you knew this day would come when people might see or question your pen."

 

On Meek Mill’s accusation that Drake uses ghostwriters:

“When those reference tracks came out ... you had Quentin Miller put out a press release,” Funkmaster Flex said, referring to alleged reference tracks by Miller that he played on-air at Hot 97, as well as a Tumblr post Miller had posted at the time, in which he denied being a ghostwriter for Drake. (“I watched this man piece together words in front of me… I watched him write/ replace bars 2- 3 at a time on 6pm in NY.. I witnessed him light up, go in and freestyle madonna,” Miller wrote of his time in the studio with Drake.)

To that, Flex said, “Let me tell you something for people who don’t understand the studio, 'cause I do. No rapper has a guy that could be or people thinkin' is writing for him in the studio directing you or standing next to you while you're in the booth unless he's writing the lyrics ... making sure the delivery's right.”

The DJ suggested that Drake should have admitted he had “a couple people who helped me with a couple things” rather than try to “hide it.”

“Yes, he writes, but there's a couple key things he didn't, and that's just the way it is,” he clarified, just before wishing Drake well at his Saturday night concert.

“My boss can't tell me to play your records. I play them because the people enjoy them, and I enjoy them as well,” he said.

Freddie Gibbs has been extradited from France to Austria to face allegations that he drugged two women and raped one of them in July 2015.

Otf.at reports that the 34-year old Indiana native, born Fredrick Tipton, is being held at Josefstadt prison in Vienna. He's been there since Sunday, July 31, following a denial of his extradition appeal by French authorities.

As we previously reported, Gibbs was in France for a concert at.the Rex in Toulouse, when he was arrested on a European warrant issued by Austria, on June 2.

He was allowed to post $56,000 bail, but had to surrender his passport and check in with authorities three times a week.

A French court ruled in favor of extraditing the rapper on June 23.
