Video After The Jump

Young Buck was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday after he pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition according to MSNBC.

When the IRS raided his home two years ago for unpaid taxes they found the weapons and ammunition, a serious federal crime because Buck had been convicted of stabbing a man at the 2004 Vibe awards

Buck, whose real name is Darnell Brown, caught a break when the judge sentenced the rapper to serve his two counts concurrently. So instead of serving three full years, he will spend a total of 18 months in prison.

"With the judge not really considering my criminal history to subtract some time, I'm just thankful for what time I do have," Buck told WSMV.

Buck will have to report to prison on August 13th. In the meantime he will have to wear an ankle monitor and be tested for drugs. If he tests positive he will be sent directly to jail.

After he gets out of prison, he'll be on supervised release for three years.

The dispute between Mac Miller and Lord Finesse over Finesse's lawsuit against the Pittsburgh rapper doesn't appear to be dying down anytime soon. As we previously reported, Finesse filed a $10 million lawsuit against Miller, Datpiff and Rostrum Records after Miller sampled his song "Hip 2 Da Game" for his record "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza."

Rostrum Records has just released a statement regarding the lawsuit defending Miller. Check that out below.

There have been a lot of misstatements online and in the press, so we thought it'd be best to make some brief comments. First and foremost, we stand by Mac Miller in this situation and we will fight the case together with him. Mac never pretended that the "Hip 2 Da Game" beat was his, despite what's being said in the suit. Lord Finesse was given credit on both the video and the mixtape from the very beginning. We've never distributed "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" for sale on iTunes and have consistently policed digital retailers and other sites to make sure that no pirates were ever illegally selling the song. Lord Finesse has known about "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" for a long time and never objected to the use. For some reason, he has very recently changed his mind. We look forward to resolving this issue soon, and we appreciate all of the support that we have been receiving from the entire music community. Thank you, Rostrum Records.

2 Chainz feels pretty good about the cover for his Based On A T.R.U. Storyalbum. In a new interview with Vibe he explained it's concept and said he feels like it is one for the history books.

"It's definitely an iconic cover to me so to speak," he said. "I think it'll be one of the best covers of today as far as it being just self explanatory. Simple, yet complex. People thought they would see a picture or portrait or whatever. I felt like the cover says a thousand words."

What do you think of the over?

Based On A T.R.U. Story will be released on August 14th.

Forbes has just rolled out it's list of it's list of Highest-Paid Celebrities Under 30. This year's list was dominated by women, who grabbed six of the top ten slots. Rihanna and Lil Wayne represented urban music well by making the cut. British singer Adele was able to parlay the huge success of her album 21 into a top spot.

Check out how Forbes determined the list and see the lucky ten below.

"To determine who the highest-paid celebrities under 30 are, we considered album and concert sales, movie paydays, profit participation, endorsements and advertising work. We talked to managers, agents, lawyers and other in-the-know folks to come up with our estimates. We did not deduct for agent fees or the expenses related to being a celebrity. We did not include athletes on this year’s list, although they are included in the Celebrity 100."

Taylor Swift

Age: 22
Pay: $57 million
Swift benefitted from a huge tour this year, grossing over $1 million per night on more than 65 dates. She continues to cash in on her 2010 album Speak Now, which has now sold over 5 million copies worldwide; she picked up two Grammys for her song "Mean." The young singer-songwriter also earns big as one of the faces of CoverGirl. Her fourth album is due this fall.

12349377685?profile=original

Justin Bieber

Age: 18
Pay: $55 million
The Canadian crooner has sold over 12 million albums since his 2009 debut and boasts 21 million Twitter followers, second only to Lady Gaga. With 750 million views, his breakout ballad "Baby" is the most-watched video in YouTube history; his 43 million Facebook fans are more than Mitt Romney and Barack Obama's followers combined. If that's not enough, he's also becoming a venture capitalist, amassing stakes in startups including Enflick, Tinychat and Spotify.

12349378275?profile=original

Rihanna

Age: 24
Pay: $53 million
The Barbados-born diva lands on our list for the first time thanks to hits including "We Found Love" and "Talk That Talk," as well as endorsements with the likes of Vita Coco and Nivea. Her fragrance, Reb'l Fleur, adds millions more to her coffers, as does her heavy touring schedule that included over 85 shows in the past 12 months. With over 53 million Facebook fans, she's second only to Eminem.

12349378469?profile=original

Lady Gaga

Age: 26
Pay: $52 million
Last year's top celeb on our Celebrity 100 slides from No.1 on our list due to a lack of touring, but stays near the top because of her tremendous social media influence. With over 24 million followers, she's the world's most popular Twitter user; her 50 million Facebook fans are more than any other celebrity aside from Eminem and Rihanna. Thanks to multiple older hits as well as her latest album, Born This Way, the singer-songwriter still makes plenty of money off of music sales.

12349378494?profile=original

Katy Perry

Age: 27
Pay: $45 million
Quick, who are the only two musicians in history to have five No. 1 singles from the same album? Michael Jackson and Katy Perry. The latter accomplished that feat with 2010 smash Teenage Dream, which continues to garner considerable airplay, and dollars, for the "Firework" singer. Her California Dreams Tour grossed nearly $60 million. Perry also got plenty of attention from the media for her personal life this year. She split from comedian husband Russell Brand in December.

12349378896?profile=original

Adele

Age: 24
Pay: $35 million
The big-voiced Brit has sold over 23 million copies of her smash album 21, even more amazing in an era when selling 500,000 copies is a strong showing. With hits like "Rolling in the Deep" and "Rumor Has It," the singer-songwriter continues to reap the rewards of heavy airplay and digital downloads. She won all six Grammy awards for which she was nominated, including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.

12349379463?profile=original

Kristen Stewart

Age: 22
Pay: $34.5 million
At the young age of 22 Stewart earned more than any other actress between May 2011 and May 2012. Most of that money came from Twilight where Stewart stars as Bella Swan. But she also earned big buck for starring in Snow White and the Huntsman. The press loves writing about Stewart. Her relationship with Twilight costar Robert Pattinson is a constant source of tabloid interest.

12349379481?profile=original

Lil Wayne

Age: 29
Pay: $27 million
The diminutive rhymester had his most lucrative year yet, thanks in part to new album Carter IV, which sold nearly 1 million copies in its opening week last summer. But the bulk of his earnings came from playing over 50 shows in the past 12 months, grossing upwards of $600,000 per night. Expect Lil Wayne to keep getting bigger; he also launched a clothing line, Trukfit, and inked his first big endorsement deal, a multimillion dollar pact with Pepsi's Mountain Dew.

12349380457?profile=original

Taylor Lautner

Age: 20
Pay: $26.5 million
Team Jacob wins this year as Lautner lands on our Celebrity 100 List but his Twilight costar, Robert Pattinson, sliped off. Both earned the same amount of money in the last 12 months so how did Lautner beat Pattinson? Fame. Lautner simply got more attention in the press and from fans this year. The young star now needs to work on his post-Twilight career. His 2011 film Abduction earned only $82 million at the box office.

12349380480?profile=original

Robert Pattinson

Age: 26
Pay: $26.5 million
With the Twilight series coming to an end this fall, Pattinson needs to prove that he can do something beyond Edward. So far, he hasn't had much luck. Films like Remember Me and Water for Elephants have fizzled at the box office and his latest, Bel Ami, opened in only 8 theaters earlier this month.

Meek Mill and Cassidy were once frequent collaborators but things seem to have changed now that Meek is doing it big with MMG. Last night the two got into it on Twitter after Cassidy retweeted comments from followers asking him why the two had not recorded together since Meek's new found fame.

RT @illuminlester "How come when @MeekMill got put on mmg he aint do nothin wit @CASSIDY_LARSINY ? They my 2 favorite rappers," said one follower.

RT @santeezy419 "@CASSIDY_LARSINY & @MeekMill went way back. They used to freestyle together. Now it seems like meek doesn't even know who #dahustla is," added another.

12349364901?profile=original

Meek got wind of what was being said and shot back at Cass.

"U on some clown sh*t right now," he wrote. "Just say it 2 my face… I'm always home... Y'all b getting beside y'all self with this send button don't confuse this twitter wit real life… #hating."

12349366074?profile=original

Cassidy never did reply directly to Meek, it seems the retweets did all of his talking for him.

This is the second beef Meek has been involved in this week following his argument on the radio with pastor Jomo K. Johnson over the song "Amen."

Despite the bad news regarding Beanie Sigel's upcoming two year prison sentence on tax evasion charges, fans will be able to enjoy a new project from the rapper before he goes in this September.

The former Roc-A-Fella spitter will be dropping the album This Time in August via Ruffhouse Records and EMI Label Services. The first single, "The Reunion," is scheduled to hit radio stations this week.

Ruffhouse Records CEO Chris Schwartz released a statement yesterday regarding the new album and the label's support of Beanie.

“We’re extremely proud to be re-launching Ruffhouse Records with Beanie Sigel as our first artist. His sentencing today doesn’t change any of that in the least. Regardless of this unfortunate situation, Beanie has created a tremendous body of work that is totally worthy of the Ruffhouse name. It’s almost ironic this is happening on the eve of this record, because this record is about introspection and redemption. Beanie is truly one of the great lyricists in the hip-hop game. He stands tall among all the major MCs and is revered by hip-hop aficionados around the world.”

Beanie had also been scheduled to record an album with Scarface, but that project looks like it might be on hold indefinitely.
