Daryl Campbell pka Taxstone is facing up to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to two federal weapons counts on Thursday, June 15, in a Manhattan courtroom.

The New York Daily News reports that the "Tax Season" podcast host copped to possessing a firearm as a felon and receiving a firearm in interstate commerce.

The charges stem from a May 25, 2016, shooting in the green room at Irving Plaza in New York City during a T.I. concert. Tax was allegedly involved in a fight with rival Troy Ave. During the scuffle shots were fired that killed Troy's friend Ronald "BSB Banga" McPhatter. Three other people, including Troy were injured.

DNA allegedly belonging to Tax, Troy and McPhatter was found on the 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun used in the shooting.

Investigators determined the weapon belonged to Taxstone because his DNA was on the trigger, hand grip and magazine of the weapon

Taxstone has not been charged with murder, but Manhattan U.S. Attorneys told Judge Lorna Schofield that he brought a firearm to Irving Plaza and "fired one shot that killed Ronald McPhatter" as well as additional shots during the confrontation.

Chris Brown has been ordered to stay away from his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran for the next five years.

Tran testified in court on Thursday, June 15, that she feared for her safety because Brown had allegedly beaten and threatened her in the past.

According to Tran, Brown became aggressive after she broke up with him, demanding she give back diamond rings and other expensive gifts he had bought for her.

She testified that when she refused, the singer started to send ominous text messages.

"I can get my money back and I'm tired of playing games" he allegedly wrote. "Bitch I will beat the shit out of you. I promise you I will make your life hell."

Tran also accused Brown of writing, "Imma kill blood" under a photo of her with actor Michael B. Jordan.

Brown was not in court and the judge refused to let him testify by phone. But TMZ reports that his attorney, Mark Geragos, grilled Tran on cross examination, asking why she never called the police.

According Geragos, Tran allegedly taunted Brown by telling him she had sold the rings.

Tran told Geragos that she never planned to return the rings because they were hers.

The judge in the case sided with Tran, granting her a five year restraining order against Brown.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Floyd Mayweather Jr. said Wednesday he will come out of retirement to face UFC star Conor McGregor in a boxing match on Aug. 26.

Mayweather, who retired in September 2015 after winning all 49 of his pro fights, will face a mixed martial arts fighter who has never been in a scheduled 12-round fight at the MGM Grand arena. The fight that will take place in a boxing ring and be governed by boxing rules.

“It’s official,” Mayweather said on his Instagram account next to a video poster of both fighters.

“THE FIGHT IS ON,” McGregor tweeted several minutes earlier, posting a picture of himself next to one of Mayweather’s father, Floyd Sr.

Mayweather will fight at the relatively advanced age of 41 in a bout that McGregor has been pushing for months. It finally came together over the last few days, and Nevada boxing officials on Wednesday approved the date for a Mayweather Promotions bout.

Though Las Vegas oddsmakers have made Mayweather a heavy 10-1 favorite, the thought of the fight has excited many in the MMA world. It has also intrigued some in boxing, though most dismiss McGregor’s chances under boxing rules against one of the greatest defensive fighters in history.

Even if the actual bout may not shape up as a great matchup, the run-up to the fight will. Both fighters are noted for their ability to sell their fights, and both have exchanged in trash talking and more to promote their bouts.

The fight will be televised on pay-per-view on Showtime and would likely gross tens of millions of dollars. It comes less than a month before Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez meet in a highly anticipated fight that could rival it for pay-per-view buys.
