What some people won’t do for food and drink.

A day after being arrested by the California Highway Patrol when caught on video drinking wine from a moving tanker truck on Highway 99, Hayward resident Gabriel Moreno, 39, was released from jail Wednesday on the state’s zero-bail order. He promptly got himself rearrested, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department says, just to get a sandwich.

First, the wine escapade.

Sometime Tuesday afternoon, Moreno was driving north on the highway in the Fulkerth Road area, CHP Officer Thomas Olsen said. He pulled alongside a Cherokee Freight Lines rig hauling a tank of wine and caught the driver’s attention, “like something was wrong with the vehicle,” Olsen said.

The trucker pulled to the side of the freeway, with Moreno stopping in front of him. “The gentleman (Moreno) gets out of his vehicle in his underwear only, and runs to the back of the trailer,” the officer said. “That’s when the driver realized, ‘This isn’t right,’ and re-enters the traffic lane. The gentleman jumps on the trailer, which has a ladder on the back, and gets a ride.”

Moreno manages to unscrew a valve to try to drink wine as it gushes from the tank, Olsen said. The driver can’t see this, but does notice that a dashboard gauge shows his truck is losing weight, so pulls over. He’s gone about a mile, to the Monte Vista Avenue area, Olsen said.

Once the rig has stopped, Moreno “jumped down and placed himself beneath the belly of the truck and was just indulging in the wine,” Olsen said. “He was lying on the ground and doing snow angels, basically, as the wine was pouring down on him.”

Moreno then ran a short distance. The trucker already had called the CHP, Olsen said, but a few other reports came in of a man running in the area, covered in blood, which of course was the wine. According to Cherokee, the tanker lost about 1,000 gallons of it, Olsen said.

When CHP officers caught Moreno, he was cooperative, Olsen said, and was booked for felony vandalism and misdemeanor driving on a suspended license.

“We’ve seen a lot of things, and this is right up there,” the officer said. He realized Moreno would be out of custody quickly, though, noting, “in the current environment we’re in (because of the coronavirus pandemic), a lot of people are being released before the reports are even written.”

Sure enough, Moreno was freed Wednesday and was in trouble again “within moments,” the Sheriff’s Department reported in a Facebook post.

It says a sergeant noticed a large crowd in the parking lot of the Community Services Agency at 251 E. Hackett Road in Modesto. It turned out Ceres police officers were trying to detain Moreno, who’d allegedly just tried to steal a truck belonging to a landscaping company. An employee intervened, prevented Moreno from leaving the area and called 911.

Moreno was distressed by his early release “and was unhappy he didn’t get a sandwich as part of the standard meal at the PSC (Public Safety Center),” the Facebook post says. He tried to steal the truck as “a way of getting a return visit to the jail, where he hoped to finally enjoy his sandwich.”

Seriously, that’s what he admitted, Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Luke Schwartz said.

But auto theft, too, is eligible for zero bail, Schwartz said, citing the California Judicial Council’s emergency mandate stemming from the COVID-19 health pandemic, to ease crowding for inmate safety.

As of Thursday morning, Moreno was back out.

R. Kelly is offering an odd bit of reassurance ... informing the judge there's no danger of him harassing his accusers if he gets out of jail, because it's impossible for him to communicate with them.

Kelly's legal team fired off a letter that's basically a follow-up to their latest motion requesting Kelly be released on bond to avoid catching COVID-19 behind bars at MCC Chicago.

Kelly's attorneys, Steven Greenberg and Michael Leonard, say there are 6 alleged victims in his federal case out of the Eastern District of NY. We know one of them is Aaliyah ... and, in the letter, Kelly's team points out the obvious -- she's deceased, and therefore, out of even Kelly's reach.

According to the doc, obtained by TMZ, they also say prosecutors have only referred to 2 other accusers as Jane Does ... so Kelly and his team can't even ID them. Likewise, they claim prosecutors have only identified another accuser by a photo -- and team Kelly says it has no clue who she is.

They claim the last 2 women are beyond Kelly's sphere of influence, because they're publicly bashing him. The letter refers to one as a former girlfriend who blasts him daily on social media. They're clearly referring to Azriel Clary, and even include links to her social media posts.

They add that Jane Doe #6 has similarly gone on a negative media campaign against Kelly.

All of this to say, if the judge lets him out ... he'll be on his best behavior because he has no choice. Remember, the judge has already shot down 2 previous motions for Kelly's release on bond.

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WTOC) - Bond has been denied for two men charged in the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced the arrests and charges late Thursday night. Travis McMichael and his father, Gregory McMichael, made their first appearance before a judge on Friday where bond was denied for both.

An update on charges was provided in magistrate court on Friday. Travis is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault. Gregory is charged with party to felony murder and party to an aggravated assault.

Cell phone video shows Travis shooting Arbery in the middle of the road in his own Brunswick neighborhood in February.

Arbery’s family says he was chased and killed for no good reason.

Citizens took to the street Friday in Brunswick for a rally. Members of the community say they are certainly glad to see the two arrests, but they also want a third man to be arrested, the man who filmed the video. The GBI director did not rule another arrest out during his news conference on Friday.

The GBI took over the case earlier this week at the urging of the governor and the agency’s director. Very quickly, they arrested the McMichaels.

In an incident report, Gregory tells police they chased Arbery because they thought he was a burglary suspect.

Initially, the police and the prosecutor on the case ruled the shooting self-defense and that the McMichael’s had legal grounds to chase Arbery.

These charges indicate the GBI disagrees with both assertions.

At Friday’s news conference, the GBI was directly asked simply: how did his agency come to the conclusion this was criminal so quickly, and whether he believes this was murder?

“I can tell you that if we didn’t believe it, we wouldn’t have arrested. If we believe it, then we’re going to put the bracelets (handcuffs) on them and that’s exactly what we did yesterday evening. When it is handed over to Mr. Durden for ultimate prosecution, it will be complete; it will be done, and every stone will be turned over. I promise you,” said Director Vic Reynolds, Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Sheriff’s deputies and GBI agents arrested both men Thursday night. Director Reynolds says they agreed on charges around 5 p.m. after investigating a little over 24 hours.

CNN) - Two men involved in the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery near Brunswick, Georgia, have been arrested and face murder and aggravated assault charges, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael, were taken into custody and will be booked into the Glynn County Jail, the GBI said Thursday evening.

The arrests come two days after a 36-second video that appears to show the deadly confrontation surfaced online.

Arbery, 25, was jogging in a neighborhood outside Brunswick on February 23 when Gregory McMichael, a former police officer, and his son chased him down, authorities said.

According to a Glynn County Police report, Gregory McMichael, 64, later told officers that he thought Arbery looked like a person whom they suspected in a series of recent break-ins in the area.

After they chased down Arbery, McMichael told police, Arbery and Travis McMichael, 34, struggled over his son's shotgun. The elder McMichael told police that his son shot Arbery after the latter attacked him, according to the police report.

In the video, three shots can be heard before Arbery is seen stumbling and falling to the ground.

The wife of NFL star Earl Thomas allegedly pointed a gun at his head and eventually chased him with a knife after catching him in bed with another woman, it was revealed on Wednesday.

The wild chain of events took place on April 13 when Earl left their Austin, Texas, home after an argument over his drinking, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Earl’s wife, Nina Thomas, then hacked into his Snapchat in order to locate him.

Nina found a video of Earl, a defensive back for the Baltimore Ravens, with another woman, then used the social media account to track down his whereabouts, the report said.

She went to the location with two other women, grabbing Earl’s handgun before leaving, and walked in on her husband and his brother, Seth, “in bed with other women,” the court documents allege.

Earl’s wife said she just intended to “scare him” with the gun — even taking out the magazine — but it was later determined that a round was still in the chamber.

It wasn’t until 3:41 a.m. the next morning that cops got involved when they received a call about a disturbance at the couple’s home.

When the police arrived, they found Nina wielding a knife and chasing Earl, who had a pistol, around a car, the report said.

The two dropped to the ground when ordered by cops to do so.

Nina was eventually arrested and charged with burglary of a residence with intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Earl was not arrested. An order of protection was also issued against Nina, forcing her to stay away from Earl. But Earl, in an Instagram post addressing the TMZ report, said the two are “back talking” and that he’s seeing his kids. Source: New York Post

In the beginning of the 90's era, the Golden Era for Hip-Hop, Mista Los was born to a young couple in a small town in South East Colorado. 9 months into Los' young life, his father would suffer from a tragic incident that resulted in the loss of his fathers life. Now a single mother, like most young women, Mommy Duties included being a father as well. The love for music that his mother had was tremendous, so it was always filling the house.

Naturally falling in love as well, Mista Los began to develop his own feelings towards music.The Hip-Hop song "Tha Crossroads" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony spoke to him. From there on he was a "Hip-Hop Head" and later began writing rhymes of his own around age 11. But the life style he chose to endure kept him from taking his dreams to the next level. A troubled young teen with the thoughts of being invincible was on the loose in the streets, running a muk. Death entered his life at a young age and continued throughout his whole life, many which died at very young ages.

That impacted Los' lifestyle undeniably, and kept him from tapping into his true potential. He dabbled into everything the streets had to offer, from alcohol to "Hustlin'". In 2010, his senior year in high school, was the first time he had the chance to bless the mic and hear his creations come to life. Los' long time friends C-A-B and City, along with himself came up with "Black Attic Entertainment" that same year. His first show was in his hometown in the spring of 2011. As of now Los' has done around 15 shows from La Junta, CO to Denver, CO with some major acts; and dropped a number of singles, alongside a feature in the music video "Rock City". Which is an anthem for his hometown; Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Now a Denver Resident, Mista Los has finally taken his music career seriously. He linked up with "The Big Event" and works closely with "Calico Inc". LAPD Cop Brutally Beats Suspect (Video)

12353398265?profile=original

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Taaj Williams has a black eye and bruises on his face and hands. He says it happened when he hit the ground after being handcuffed by Los Angeles police officers.

"I've had really bad pain in my face," Williams said.

The cellphone video shot by a neighbor shows Williams detained by police. The arresting officer then takes Williams outside. What happens next is obscured by a wall, but a few seconds later Williams can be seen on the ground not moving. He said he was unconscious.

"When I woke up I really didn't know what happened," Williams said. I was just upset. I was angry. I was saying I'm the victim. They had no response and reason why they did this, and then they let us go."

Williams said it all happened Saturday night. He and some friends were attacked by another group about half a block away at a bus stop. He says they managed to get away and went into an apartment to seek safety. Then, according to Williams, police showed up.

"They said I had stolen some chains from someone which never happened which was never reported in the call," Williams said. He claims officers threw him to the ground and knocked him out with handcuffs.

LAPD officials said when they found out about the video they began an investigation.

"We looked at the video and so we have launched a personnel investigation to make sure that all aspects of the incident are covered," Capt. Patricia Sandoval said. "The department takes any type of allegations of excessive force extremely seriously."
