WOODBURY, N.J. — Authorities say a woman set fire to her boyfriend’s home several hours after they had a consensual sexual encounter there with another woman.
Police in Woodbury, New Jersey, say Tasia Young told them she had been “going through a lot” and was angry her boyfriend had her take a cab home after the encounter while the other woman remained at the home.
No injuries were reported in Sunday night’s fire. But Young’s boyfriend and six other people who live in nearby apartments were displaced.
Authorities say the 33-year-old Woodbury woman came to police headquarters Tuesday and confessed to setting the fire.
Young is charged with arson, aggravated assault, criminal mischief and endangerment. Police didn’t know if she attorney to speak for her, and a phone listing couldn’t be found.

Kerry Lathan noted that he just got out of prison after doing a 26 year-to-life sentence. Lathan also expressed frustration at why he was placed in jail in the first place and noted that he was put back into jail for coming in contact with a gang member (Nipsey Hussle). Lathan also spoke on his condition in jail and broke down his original conviction, saying he only served 24 years.
Lathan detailed the moment he came in contact with Nipsey in the parking lot of the Marathon Store, and described how Nipsey, himself, and his nephew were shot. Lathan pointed out that Nipsey looked out for him when he came home, despite them only meeting a few times prior.

HAINES CITY, Fla. (FOX 13) - The suspect in Friday's triple shooting in Haines City has turned himself in to police.
The Haines City Police Department said 38-year-old Ernst Cherizard turned himself in to authorities just after 2 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Cherizard shot his 23-year-old girlfriend, Eli Junia Normil, inside a Haines City apartment complex before turning the gun on Normil's 6-year-old daughter, Elizabelle Frenel. Police said the girl was shot three times; one of those shots was fired directly at the young girl's head. The girl died just before 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Cherizard also shot Normil's mother, 48-year-old Nicole Guillume, who showed up a short time later looking for her daughter, the family told FOX 13.
Normil's Facebook page is filled with photos of her and Cherizard, painting a picture of a happy couple in love.
However, Polk County court records tell a very different and violent story.
In April of 2017, Normil filed a domestic violence injunction against Cherizard. Just months later, Cherizard was arrested by Polk County authorities for domestic violence aggravated battery against Normil while she was seven months pregnant with their twin children.
Those twin babies, now just over a year old, are without a mother after Cherizard shot and killed her, along with her mother and daughter.
Cherizard fled the scene Friday night and his vehicle was spotted in South Florida at a Boynton Beach toll plaza just after midnight on Saturday.
Police said they teamed up with U.S. Marshals to find him; however, Cherizard turned himself in soon after.
"Because of Cherizard's cowardly actions -- and they are nothing short of cowardly -- a family now has to bury three members, including a young child who had her whole life in front of her," Chief Jim Elensky said. "Our team is doing everything we can to bring this person to justice and help provide closure for this family through this absolutely horrific tragedy. Our thoughts are with them as we continue this investigation."

ESPN -- Dustin Poirier and Israel Adesanya walked out of the Octagon on Saturday night as champions, and it had only a little to do with the shiny new title belts they carried with them. Their performances in the main event and co-main of UFC 236 in Atlanta made them interim champs, which is to say that neither man sits alone at the top of the mountain in his weight class. But the fights they put on -- digging deep to find moments of dominance when they needed to set a tone or change momentum -- elevated them both to a status that few fighters reach.
This has been a long time coming for the 30-year-old Poirier, who has been competing as a professional mixed martial artist for a decade. Saturday's fight was his 22nd in the UFC -- the second-longest wait a fighter in the promotion has had to endure for a title shot, behind only Michael Bisping's 26 bouts -- and his résumé is dotted with near misses.
He has paid his dues, and when his opportunity finally came, he went for it with a vengeance. Poirier took it to featherweight champ Max Hollowayfrom the start of Saturday's headline bout, wobbling him several times in the first two rounds of their interim lightweight title fight.
But it was in the third round -- a round Poirier lost -- that the son of Lafayette, Louisiana, truly showed championship mettle. Despite looking tired and slowed from the fast early pace he'd set, Poirier withstood the best that a rallying Holloway could dish out. That resilience allowed Poirier to make it to the championship rounds, which lived up to their name in a big way. Poirier somehow rediscovered his earlier high gear and turned the fight back in his favor, bloodying Holloway with a big knee in Round 4, which ended with the 145-pound champ wearing a grotesque mask of crimson. Poirier didn't let up in the final round, ensuring that he would be the one being handed the interim belt.
Turnaround was also at the heart of the Adesanya story, and in an unexpected way it grew the legend of the 29-year-old native of Nigeria, who has lived in New Zealand since his teens. Adesanya went into his interim middleweight matchup with Kelvin Gastelum as an enigma. He had had only five UFC bouts (over just 14 months), yet the flashy former kickboxer was considered the next big thing. Gastelum represented his biggest test yet.
Yes, it's true that "The Last Stylebender" shared a cage two months ago with Anderson Silva, one of the greatest of all time. But "The Spider" whom Adesanya faced at UFC 234 was a faded 43-year-old version. Adesanya's most dangerous opponent that night might have been himself, as he was stepping in with an idol and at times seemed awestruck, struggling to get out of his own way.
Saturday's fight was Adesanya's first against a ranked opponent. (Gastelum is No. 3 in ESPN's middleweight top 10, with Adesanya at No. 7.) Could he show the flair and flash that he'd put on display in his previous bouts? The simple answer was no, but the rest of the answer is that he showed something more important.
Adesanya was poised from the start, in no rush to show off. The story of the fight early was not the shots he was landing but rather the shots Gastelum was not landing. Adesanya's footwork and head movement were as masterful as ever, but in the first couple of rounds of this fight they were more tools of self-defense than offensive weaponry. What proved to be Adesanya's most potent weapon was the thing that's midway between his head and feet -- his heart.
After Gastelum, a veteran who'd been tested by the sport's best, gradually found ways to clip Adesanya, the fight started to swing his way. He put Adesanya in deep trouble in the fourth round, and when the horn sounded Adesanya went back to his corner looking like a beaten man. But Adesanya came out for the fifth round and seized control, knocking down Gastelum three times in those final five minutes and nearly finishing him. He earned 10-8 scores from all three judges, securing the decision in a fight that was up for grabs. This timely display of grit was more impressive than any of the front-running dominance Adesanya had shown before.
These championship performances by Adesanya and Poirier surely earned the attention of Robert Whittaker, who holds the middleweight belt, and Khabib Nurmagomedov, who reigns at lightweight. Those two will soon return to the Octagon, and waiting for them are challenges that at this moment seem far bigger and more exciting than they did 24 hours ago.
Adesanya was already a star on the rise, but now he has shown himself to be multidimensional and rugged. He'd been so dominant that in the past he'd never had to prove he could stare down adversity. Well, now he's showed he can, and that's huge, because fights at this high level are a breeding ground for adversity.
That fifth round against Gastelum -- how he transformed from depleted to dominant when toughing it out was his only option -- was the stuff of legends. Gastelum had been in with five UFC champions in the past, and no one did to him what Adesanya did. That has to give Whittaker pause.
As for Poirier, he showed off power and precision that have to concern Nurmagomedov. Yes, the Dagestani faced a powerfully elite striker in his most recent fight, but Conor McGregor was unable to keep that fight at ideal striking range, where the champ is at his most vulnerable.
Poirier was fully in control of where and how Saturday's bout was fought, keeping Holloway within range of his power. If he can keep the Nurmagomedov fight going long enough to clip him with what he dished out to Holloway, it will test the well-roundedness of the undefeated champ, who has smothered everyone he has faced. It'll be interesting to see.
That's the bottom line, right there. The two classic fights that closed out UFC 236 stirred up heart-pumping intrigue over what's to come. Who doesn't yearn to see Whittaker vs. Adesanya -- especially in Australasia, where they're both from -- and Nurmagomedov vs. Poirier? Heck, who doesn't want to see what's next for Holloway and Gastelum as well?
When fighters bring forth that something special that carries them through the most difficult times -- and when those times have the highest of stakes -- it is deeply satisfying to witness such spirit. We could never imagine being in that line of fire, yet we cannot look away. We want to see more. And Saturday night brought the promise that more will soon be delivered.

The 43-year-old muscled his way through a tightly packed leaderboard to win by two shots at Augusta for his first major title in 11 years and first Masters win since 2005.
It completes a fairytale return for the most dominant player of his generation -- and arguably the best ever -- after enduring "dark times" through injury since 2014.
Woods underwent career-saving spine fusion surgery in 2017 and sealed an impressive comeback season last year with his first win for five years.
Sunday's thrilling victory puts the former world No.1 just three majors behind the all-time record of Jack Nicklaus.
Only fellow American Nicklaus has won more Masters, with six. Woods also joins Nicklaus as the only player to have won the Masters in three different decades after he clinched his first as a 21-year-old in 1997.
Woods began the day two shots behind Italy's Francesco Molinari, and rode the roller coaster of a gripping final round to first share the lead after the Italian found the water in front of the short 12th. Two holes later five players were tied at the top, but Woods' birdie on the long 15th took him clear on his own. Another birdie on the short 16th ignited thunderous roars which reverberated around the towering pines as Woods marched off with a two-shot lead and a thousand-yard stare in scenes reminiscent of his heyday.

Report via TMZ - Rapper Jim Jones was able to duck jail time in his gun and drug case out in Georgia -- in fact, he was almost able to skate entirely by copping a plea.
According to court docs out of Coweta County, GA -- where Jim was facing 5 felony counts and a misdemeanor from his June 2018 arrest -- Jim was sentenced to 2 years probation and a $1,500 fine, plus minor court costs.
We're told 3 of the 6 charges were dropped, including a felony drug charge and 2 felony counts of possession of a firearm. The other 3 charges will go away if he stays out of trouble while on probation -- all part of a plea deal.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, Jim has to stay off booze and drugs for the next couple years and report to his probation officer in GA to get the remaining 3 charges dropped from his record. All things considered, he should count himself lucky.
TMZ broke the story ... Jim and 3 other guys he was riding in a car with werearrested in June after their vehicle led cops on a police chase. Officers say they found weed, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges and 2 loaded pistols inside.
When no one copped to possessing any of the items, cops arrested everyone. Jim was officially charged a few months later ... and was facing decades behind bars.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, Kerry Lathan, a 56-year-old man who was shot in the back outside Nipsey's Marathon Clothing store, was taken to the hospital, a week ago Sunday, treated and released.
Five days after the shooting, Lathan, who is out on parole after serving 20 years for murder, was arrested at his halfway house for associating with a known gang member -- namely, Nipsey.
One of the standard conditions of parole is not associating with known gang members, and police claim Nipsey was a member of the Rollin 60's Crips.
Lathan is now in Men's Central Jail in downtown L.A. where he waits as authorities try to revoke his parole. Lathan is in a wheelchair -- the result of the shooting -- unable to walk.
It's ironic ... as Nipsey was being celebrated for his contributions to L.A., authorities were arresting one of the victims of the shooting for being around him. And there's this ... Lathan had just gotten out of prison, and Nipsey went to Marathon to give the ex-con some clothes so he could look fresh when he reunited with friends and family.
