Drake has been tapped to host the first ever NBA awards show on June 26.

Previously, award winners had been announced separately, but this year individual accolades such as The Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year will be acknowledged on the same night, according to the Associated Press.

Additional awards will be added. League sources and Turner Sports say winners will be determined through fan voting.

This is the second major sports hosting gig for Drake. He previously held it down at the 2014 ESPYs.

The show will air live on TNT.

Video After The Jump

When it comes to social issues Talib Kweli is one of the most outspoken people in hip hop. In that regard, it shouldn't be surprising that he would have a lot to say about the current state of political affairs in America.

TMZ caught up with the 41-year old Brooklyn, New York native at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, April 24, to get his opinion on Donald Trump's first 100 days as President of the United States.

TMZ: We're coming up on Trump's 100th day in office. How do you think this administration has affected Obama's legacy?

Talib Kweli: I think it's made people understand the bar is set way lower for white men. Trump can be mediocre, he could be a failure. Obama had to work so much more harder than everybody else. He had so many more obstacles to overcome than Donald Trump has. And he still was called a monkey. Still called a liar to his face by a congressman. Trump lies every day. Ain't nobody calling him a liar to his face.

TMZ: So, there's obviously a racial divide there?

Talib: That's the whole reason Donald Trump is president. It's America paying us back for the nigger president.

TMZ: Would you like to sit down with him?

Talib: Absolutely not. Donald Trump would have to say and do a hell of a lot of things. He would have to make a lot of apologies before I would sit down.

TMZ: Any advice for him?

Talib: My advice is that America is great. Not because rich, straight, white men, who have always been in power make it great. America is great because of diversity. So, you have to learn about marginalized communities. You have to learn about Jewish people, Muslims, women, black people, gay people. You know, people who are going to be further marginalized in Trump's America. He should reach out to those communities and listen to those communities. Instead of dictating to those communities.

Back in the early 2000's prior to finding fame, Nicki Minaj, was in a group called The Hood$tars with Safaree Samuels, 7even Up and Lou$tar.

According to 7even, Nicki was really about that street life at the time and was willing to be the getaway driver once when he robbed someone.

"She was a 'G.' Nicki ain't soft, man," 7even explained during a new Vlad TV interview. "It was a episode one night where we were by (a New York City club) in BedfordStuyvesant, Brooklyn. I seen a mark. I said, 'Listen. let me go handle my business.' She was like, 'Yo, just hurry up.' She was with it, so I was surprised.

"I actually [knew the victim]," he continued. "This is 2004 ... there was no cameras around. A lot of people wasn't telling at the time, so it was lit. [I didn't have a] gun. I yapped him. That's how I was at the time. Gun or no gun. The nigga chased me down and she spinned off. And we busted down. That's how that went. We ran a red light and everything."

WHO IS SOSIK?

I am SoSik, an Artist based out of Seattle Washington. I believe in the illuminati and tend to believe that a higher power is helping me throughout my journey in this thing we call life. I am pursuing to be a hybrid artist, fusing the sounds of old rap styles such as Notorious B.I.G and Tupac with the "wavy" style of new artists like Future and Kanye. All of the messages that I convey in my music are related to gaining confidence and having no fear to strive for big goals. I believe that music can have a heavy influence on a persons life, and I want the people who listen to my music to be inspired to follow their dreams with positive motivation, no matter how big or crazy they may seem. I have been fighting depression my entire life and music has become my number one outlet, after trying to commit suicide, I turned towards the music. It has saved me. It started with me just listening to music, but then I began writing lyrics. I found myself wanting to create my own sound, so I began taking music classes at the University of Oregon and now I know how to produce all of my own songs and beats. I hope one day to be able to play live concerts for my fans all over the world. I want my shows to become a place where people come to dance, let go, and be happy.
