Fox is in a legal battle with record company Empire Distribution over the use of the name Empire for it's hit television series.
ED contacted Fox and demanded they stop using the name because it diminishes their brand. Especially because a "homophobic drug dealer prone to murdering his friends" is a lead character.
But here's the catch. ED would back off if Fox pays them $8 million outright or $5 million if some of their artists become regular cast members on Empire.
Fox is not giving in to the demands.TMZ reports that the network has filed a lawsuit against Empire Distribution, asking a judge to rule that ED's demands have no merit because the company is obscure.
Executives at Fox don't want this this to linger on into the second season of their show.
One thing Empire Distribution has going in it's favor is that the company was founded in 2010, five years before Empire debuted.

There was never anything wrong with Iggy Azalea's body if you asked most men, but one's own perception is what counts the most.
In a new interview with Vogue, the Australian rapper admits to undergoing breast augmentation.
It is slightly stunning, then, when I ask the rather routine question “What would you change about your body?” and she replies, popping a French fry in her mouth and not blinking an eye, “I did change something: Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life.” She says she was sick of having to sew padding into her stage costumes and wanted to be able to wear lingerie without wiring. At first she resolved never to discuss this publicly; she didn’t want girls—so many of her fans are barely high school age—to feel bad about their own bodies. “But then,” she says, “I decided I wasn’t into secret-keeping.”

I called my husband in France, who was on a plane within hours. The beautiful thing about such moments in life is that there is so much clarity. You know what you live for and what matters. It is polarizing, and it is peaceful.
