A California federal prosecutor used a gun to kill himself and a woman he married four months ago, according to reports.

The parents of 45-year-old Tamara Delgado asked deputies to conduct a welfare check Sunday, CBS 13 Sacramento reported.

She was found dead along with her husband, Timothy Delgado, 43.

“We believe that Mr. Delgado fatally shot his wife before turning the gun on himself,” the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

The Delgados lived in Granite Bay, 25 miles north of Sacramento. Her Facebook page says they married in November.

Delgado was a prosecutor in the Sacramento U.S. Attorney’s Office, working gun and drug cases.

He was also a California state prosecutor and a lawyer in the Navy, according to records.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office acknowledged being told about the murder-suicide, CBS 13 reported.

A friend told the station Tamara Delgado was a loving mother to a daughter and a young son.

“My tears are for Tamara and losing her. My tears are for the situation,” the friend said. “But mostly my tears are for her son because I know him so well.”

If New York is overwhelmed with deaths from the coronavirus, prisoners will dig mass graves.

The Daily Beast reports New York City has a worst-case scenario contingency plan for a plague, such as the coronavirus COVID-19, that would require Rikers Island inmates to dig mass graves for burying up to 51,000 bodies. The plan was drawn up in 2008 by the city’s Office of Chief Medical Examiner while Michael Bloomberg was mayor of NYC.

According to the Daily Mail, the plan comes from a report preparing for a pandemic where up to 70 percent of deaths would occur in hospitals or assisted living centers, overwhelming morgues. The city would then deploy death professionals like morticians, forensic photographers, and medical students to remove between 50 and 5,000 cadavers a day, such as to mobile refrigerated storage units that can hold up to 44 bodies each.

Disposing of larger numbers of bodies may require cremation or, as a last resort, sending corpses to Hart Island in the Long Island Sound. Inmates from nearby Rikers Island would then be required to dig mass graves and bury them.

The CDC and World Health Organization have not declared coronavirus a pandemic, but the virus has infected more than 113,000 people worldwide and killed more than than 4,000. According to The New York Times, at least 730 people have tested positive for coronavirus in the U.S., including more than 140 in New York state; Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency on Saturday.

Cuomo said Monday that he already plans to use prison inmates to make hand sanitizer. CorCraft, a company that uses NYS prison labor paid between 16 cents and $1.14 an hour, will produce 100,000 gallons a week of New York-branded hand sanitizer, and distribute it to government offices and schools free of charge.

In New York City, more changes could come in response to the virus, such as school closings and travel recommendations. Gov. Cuomo, Mayor Bill de Blasio and MTA chairman Pat Foye have already said commuters should avoid taking mass transit if other transportation options are available.

“If you can get around without riding the subway, do it," Foye said, according to the New York Post. He said the trains are safe, but recommended alternatives like telecommuting, biking, walking or taking transit at less-crowded times of day.

Nicki Minaj‘s husband has finally registered as a sex offender in the state of California following his arrest last week.

Kenneth Petty, 41, is listed in the California Department of Justice’s database with a new mugshot to boot. His offense is entered as “attempted rape by force or fear.”

Petty was placed in federal custody earlier this month for failing to register as a sex offender in California following his move to the Golden State from New York, where he is already registered. He was convicted in 1995 of attempting to rape a 16-year-old girl.

“He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship,” Minaj, 37, said in his defense in December 2018. “But go awf, internet, y’all can’t run my life. y’all can’t even run y’all own life.”

Minaj and Petty married in October 2019.

OTTUMWA — Prosecutors worked Wednesday to build their case that Kelsie Thomas was responsible for the 2018 death of her daughter, Cloe Chandler.

A jury of seven men and seven women is hearing the case at the Wapello County Courthouse. Thursday began with an expert in DNA from the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation. That testimony focused on the absence of DNA from other people on Cloe and most areas of her clothing.

While the defense is not required to present an alternate theory of events to jurors — the burden of proof is on the prosecution to prove the case — the testimony was designed to undermine potential claims an unidentified suspect could be involved in Cloe’s death. That was particularly true when the prosecution spent several minutes talking about DNA samples taken from under the girl’s fingernails.

If a person is in a struggle and fights back, there is the potential for scratches to deposit skin cells under the fingernails. Absence of such cells suggests there was no such struggle.

Jurors also got a look at where Cloe was found through a video investigators took the day after her death. Investigator Michael Sieren of the Ottumwa Police Department told the court he and other officers returned to Thomas’ home to both examine the scene and review events with her.

Sieren said such reviews are standard in a death investigation and do not necessarily indicate suspicions. But in this case police had been contacted by someone with concerns about Cloe’s death.

Police returned to Thomas’ account of how she found her daughter several times during the video played for jurors. Thomas said she found Cloe hanging in a closet in her bedroom.

“I picked her up and I moved her over here and laid her on her bed,” Thomas said.

Police came back time and again to the exact sequence of events, how Thomas described the position of her daughter and her actions. “I grabbed her,” was Thomas’ response each time she was asked how she picked up her daughter’s body.

The state medical examiner’s office declared the case a homicide in July 2018, finding Cloe died by strangulation. The defense fought to exclude testimony from Dr. Michele Catellier about the cause of Cloe’s death prior to the trial.

They were partially successful in the bid. Judge Lucy Gamon ruled just before the trial began that Catellier could testify that Cloe’s death was not accidental, but could not tell jurors it was a homicide.

Thomas faces a mandatory life sentence if convicted of first-degree murder.

J. Prince is speaking out against male violence against women.

The Houston businessman and Rap-A-Lot Records CEO, made an Instagram post Sunday about the brutal attack that took place last Thursday in Brooklyn, when a group of boys beat up and robbed a 15-year old girl in broad daylight.

"I don’t know if you boys think this is the new trend to be putting y’all hands on females. Let me just tell y’all this is weak shit and men don’t act this way or allow boys to act this way in their presence," Prince wrote. "Which simply means every man that’s comfortable in his body being a man needs to kick every boy in their ass on the spot in unison, that participate in weak shit like this. Some of you so called men see this kind of abuse taking place and turn your head as if you don’t see it. Let me just say this is the reason it keeps evolving, because men are afraid to hold boys accountable for their actions."

Prince also reacted to the video that showed rapper DaBaby slapping a female fan at a concert in Tampa on Saturday.

"And to the lil homie DaBaby, I got love for you, but I can’t discriminate because you’re a celebrity," Prince continued. "If you felt like slapping somebody you should’ve slapped one of them security men that was with you that wasn’t doing their job."

DaBaby has acknowledged that he was wrong and apologized to the victim.

Video After The Jump

In this episode of People's Party, Talib Kweli and Jasmin Leigh sit down with rapper, actor and West Coast legend MC Eiht. Being a veteran and pioneer of the Gangsta Rap genre, as well as someone who was fully immersed in the lifestyle that he portrays on wax, Eiht has a deeply authentic story to tell. To kick things off, they discuss how Eiht got turned onto gang life at such a young age, the sensationalizing of gang-banging, and how the sets have evolved since he was active. Eiht also digs into his famous, long-standing beef with DJ Quik, and how they finally reconciled.

Later, Eiht speaks on his mindset when he penned two of his most acclaimed records appearing on soundtracks for 'Boyz N The Hood' and 'Menace II Society.' He talks about landing the role of A-Wax in 'Menace', ad-libbing most of his lines, the double-edged sword of filming authentic hood movies, and Tupac's casting call in 'Menace.' The Pac stories continue with his firing and Eiht gives his account as to why the rapper got involved in the gangster lifestyle at the height of his success. Kweli also asks about Eiht's voice acting work in 'Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas,' his short-lived group Warzone, and his friendships with DJ Premier and the Wu-Tang Clan.

Finally, Eiht offers advice to kids growing up in the projects with feelings of hopelessness and no way out.

Check out the audio podcasts here:

Apple - https://applepodcasts.com/peoplesparty

Soundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/peoplesparty

Interview timing:

3:47 -- Eiht speaks on how he's been able to transcended genres, attaining bi-coastal respect through diverse sample selection and vivid storytelling.

8:40 -- Eiht discusses how he ended up in gang culture. He goes into the romanticization of gang life through rap, movies, and media, how much more dangerous it was during his day, and the evolution of the sets becoming more unified and less violent.

14:22 -- Eiht talks about his reconciliation with DJ Quik over their long-standing beef. They also discuss remaining true and authentic to their roots while transitioning to music that reflects their lives today.

19:40 -- Eiht explains how his name was inspired by KRS-One, he reveals when he started with his trademark phrase "Geah", breaks down what went into the making of his classic song "Growin' Up In The Hood", touches on the legacy of John Singleton, and inner-city youth choosing the hustler life by means of necessity.

29:14 -- Eiht explains the timeless relevance of his "wake yo punk ass up" signature intro that he used on 'Growin' Up In The Hood', 'Streiht Up Menace', and Kendrick Lamar's 'M.A.A.D. City'.

35:07 -- Eiht frames how he landed the role of A-Wax in 'Menace II Society', and the Hughes Brothers allowing him to ad-lib the majority of his script. They also discuss the double-edged sword of keeping it real in film by shooting these movies in real hoods, with real gangsters, as well as the risks involved when reaching success, while still keeping an outstretched hand to those you grew up with.

46:10 -- Eiht talks about how Tupac originally had the role of Sharif in 'Menace II Society.' and why he was fired from the set. He also gives his take on Tupac's connection with gang life, seeing that as a step back, as someone that had already made it through the struggle.

54:31 -- Eiht talks about his experience voice-over acting as the character "Ryder" in the video game "GTA - San Andreas".

58:24 -- Eiht speaks on Warzone -- a group put together by Snoop Dogg consisting of Goldie Loc, MC Eiht, and Kam. Eiht and Talib also discuss their mutual long-time friendships with DJ Premier.

1:04:23 -- Eiht talks about his friendships with members of Wu-Tang, and linking up with Ol' Dirty Bastard to be featured on his remix for "Shimmy Shimmy Ya".

1:06:04 -- Talib asks Eiht what advice he would have for a kid growing up in Compton with some of the same feelings of hopelessness he felt as a youth.

1:10:10 -- Talib asks Eiht to envision where his character A-Wax's life might be present day.

Video After The Jump

The time has come amid a growing global pandemic to talk about something we've all been expecting, but haven't quite seen 'til now ... a bloodbath over wiping our asses.

Yes, we're referring to toilet paper, folks -- specifically, the fact people seem to have lost their minds about stocking up on a 6-pack, 12-pack, 24-pack or in many cases ... 30-packs from Costco. You've probably been seeing photos online, but now ... there's gnarly video too.

Here's a clip someone captured from what's been said to be somewhere in Australia, where two women literally came to blows in a grocery store aisle over a pack of poop wipes. It's pretty insane -- there's screaming, punching, scratching and then face-to-face insults.

Eventually, the store employees step in and break it up ... but not before the woman who was apparently left ply-less demanded (begged?) for just one pack of toilet paper from the mother-daughter duo who swept the place and filled their own cart with several loads.

There've been other in-aisle confrontations caught on video, but none got as rowdy as this one. It appears people in different parts of the world are panicking over the coronavirus -- and it would seem having an arsenal of perforated protection is absolutely essential.

Doesn't seem Americans are quite there yet, but with the number of confirmed cases growing daily here ... it's probably only a matter of time before you're getting socked over a crucial bundle of Charmin Ultra Soft. There's just not a square to spare, evidently.
