On a teacher's suggestion to find extracurricular activities, Brandon joined the choir. He finished the eighth grade with a determination to elevate his understanding of music and succeed with his own music.

Constantly challenging himself to become better at his craft, he has taken voice lessons from Bobby Wilsyn, Ars Musica, and Andrew Schultze. He has played with Earth, Wind & Fire and performed at some of Chicago’s most notable venues including the UIC Pavilion and the House of Blues. Brandon has also earned a degree in music performance and business from the Columbia College of Chicago. Forever seeking to share his story and testimony, Brandon seeks to inspire, touch hearts and provoke thought with his music.

MORRISVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Police found a Pennsylvania woman and her adult daughter in an apartment with the bodies of five relatives they had killed, including three children, authorities said Tuesday.

Shana S. Decree, 42, and Dominique Decree, 19, were charged with five counts of homicide and one count each of conspiracy.

Shana Decree told police that “everyone at the apartment ... wanted to die” and talked about suicide, according to court documents. Decree claimed one of the victims, Jamilla Campbell, 42, killed two other victims before she herself was slain.

The bodies were found Monday in an apartment in suburban Philadelphia after Bucks County child welfare officials showed up unannounced and got no response when they knocked on the door. A maintenance worker opened the door and found Shana Decree and Dominique Decree in a “disoriented” state, according to court documents.

Police arrived and found all five bodies in a bedroom. The apartment was in “disarray,” according to Police Chief George McClay, with broken drywall and broken glass, overturned furniture, and other clutter.

Shana Decree was arraigned early Tuesday, while her daughter was expected to make her initial court appearance later in the day.

It wasn’t clear whether either woman yet has a lawyer to speak for her.

The victims included Shana Decree’s children Naa’Irah Smith, 25, and Damon Decree Jr., 13, both of Morrisville; as well as Shana Decree’s sister Jamilla Campbell, of Trenton, New Jersey, and Campbell’s 9-year-old twin daughters Imani and Erika Allen. Authorities did not reveal how they died.

Authorities who had been looking for Campbell’s 17-year-old son Joshua found him in Willingboro, New Jersey, where he was staying with friends, McClay said.

Bucks County prosecutor Matthew Weintraub earlier stressed the teen is not a suspect, saying authorities just want to “ensure his safety.”

“We wanted to come out here at this point and make sure that everybody knew that the people that committed these atrocious acts are now in custody and will be made to pay for their crimes,” Weintraub said at the scene late Monday.

The bodies were found about 4 p.m. Monday after police went to check on the welfare of residents at the unit in the Robert Morris Apartments in Morrisville, on the Delaware River northeast of Philadelphia and across from Trenton, New Jersey.

The three-story, red-brick complex is on a busy road lined with auto repair shops, a safe-and-lock shop and a bail bonds agency nearby.

Thai Hall, 24, of Bristol, Pennsylvania, said she attended Morrisville High School with Smith and spoke with her about three months ago. Hall, whose mother lives in a neighboring apartment, said Smith was attending cosmetology school. She remembered Smith warmly.

“She was a happy person, happy person and cared for people,” Hall said.

This story has been corrected to show that Jamilla Campbell was 42, not 45.

(NBC Miami) -- Two Miami-Dade police officers are facing charges following an investigation into footage showing one of them hitting a handcuffed suspect, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Sgt. Manuel Regueiro is being charged with misdemeanor battery in the incident involving the March 15, 2018 arrest of Brayn Crespo, prosecutors said. A second officer, Alexander Gonzalez, is being charged with tampering with evidence for allegedly trying to destroy the surveillance system that captured the incident, the Miami Herald reported.

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez have scheduled a Tuesday afternoon news conference to give more details on the charges.

According to a warrant and an arrest affidavit, Crespo, who was 18 at the time, was arrested at his Miami-Dade home for allegedly stealing airbags out of vehicles.

Surveillance footage from inside Crespo's home showed officers breaking through a door and taking him into custody. As an officer is leading Crespo out of the home with his hands behind his back, Regueiro is seen smacking Crespo in the face.

Regueiro, who had been with the department for 18 years, has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of the investigation, officials said.

Chris Cornell‘s former doctor is denying he had anything to do with the rocker’s tragic death, and claims Cornell was well advised about the dangers of the anti-anxiety medication he was prescribed.

According to documents obtained by The Blast, Dr. Robert Koblin is responding to the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Cornell’s widow, Vicky. Koblin is denying all the allegations that he overprescribed medications to the “Soundgarden” star before his death, even though he was an “addiction-prone individual.”

In this clip, Michael Jai White talked about the key roles he turned down so far in his career. He said he got approached to play Marvin Gaye, but that he ultimately turned it down. He didn’t want to be a “buff a** Marvin Gaye.”

He noted that he doesn’t worship actors and certain roles you have to take to advance. Vlad spoke on Lord Jamar saying that black male actors only reach a certain level of success after they wear a dress in a major role. White noted that he didn’t have to do that.

Celsius - "Gotta Win"

12353063680?profile=original

Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, Taurean Morgan raises the degrees in lyrics. Now a solo artist of IDH Entertainment, Celsius, number 9 out of 10 children, breaks into the music industry routed from an early love of Hip Hop. Early lessons of quality music hit Celsius with his parents playing Anita Baker, Earth Wind and Fire, and the Isley Brothers. His father played Alexander O'neil, Zapp and Roger, George Clinton, and Issac Hayes. It was his eldest brother Rodney, however, who introduced him to Hip Hop early at the age of nine. Listening to everything from Public Enemy and all the way to NWA and Too Short, Celsius fell in even deeper and once he caught wind of Tupac, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Busta Rhymes, Mystikal, Twista, Tech N9ne, Royce 5'9",Wu Tang,E-40 and his hometown legends of Sacramento: C-Bo, Brotha Lynch, and Marvless, there would be nothing that would stop Celsius from joining the ranks.

Celsius’ motivation stems from a deep understanding of taking nothing for granted. Losing his father in 2008 proved to be an awakening experience. Along with a supportive team, he puts his Family, God, faith, and love for the art as his reasons to continue to pursue his dream of going down in Hip Hop history as one of the illest emcees to grace the mic and one of the dopest performers to touch the stage. What separates Celsius from other up-and-coming Hip Hop artists is I learned early on to his early adaptation to stay creative and think out the Hip Hop norm. Focusing on becoming a waling brand, he has developed multiple skills, becoming a triple threat by widening his range within music with production, song writing, and performing. With The Harvest Sessions Ep available on all major music sites; and Up In Smoke releasing March 6th, the world gets to witness the rise in temperature. Working with the likes of E-moe, The Gatlin, Donwon Doa, Nome Nomadd, Propane Da Ghost, Heat Wave, J. Slew, B-Smoove, Biggmann, Joezy Wells, Fess Maccin, Johnny D'Brasco, Sac Tha King, Young Zoe, Rob Roy (Cali Bear Gang), Reflective Intelligence (D'Konz), Task 1ne, Ferow, Mo Betta, Plus Sav, D Boi, Penny, Benji Stakks (out of Arizona), Swiff Rilla, King BL, and Spittlez…understand that this game is chess not checkers…make it count.

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Grammy-winning R&B star R. Kelly pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges that he sexually assaulted three teenage girls and a woman in alleged incidents dating back to 1998, weeks after a television documentary leveled new accusations against him.

The 52-year-old performer, whose real name is Robert Kelly, is charged under a 10-count indictment with sexually assaulting three teenagers, with each count carrying a maximum of 10 years in prison.

Dressed in an orange jail jumpsuit, Kelly appeared in a Chicago courtroom before Cook County Associate Judge Lawrence Flood and spoke only to confirm his name. His lawyer, Steven Greenberg, entered a not guilty plea on Kelly’s behalf.

Prosecutors say the victims include a teenager Kelly met when she sought an autograph during his previous trial on child pornography charges, another he met at her 16th-birthday party and his hairdresser, who was then 24. The singer was acquitted of the pornography charges.

A fourth charge is based on a videotape that purportedly shows Kelly and a 14-year-old girl engaged in sexual acts, according to prosecutors.

Kelly faced the child pornography charges more than a decade ago, at a trial where the victim did not testify. The new charges emerge in a different environment, after the #MeToo movement made victims more willing to come forward and law enforcement more likely to believe them.

Michael Avenatti, a lawyer representing two accusers, told reporters after Monday’s hearing that he had turned over a second videotape to prosecutors earlier in the day.

The video was about 55 minutes long, dated from around 2000 and also showed a 14-year-old girl, though he did not make clear whether it was the same girl as in the first video.

Kelly lawyer Greenberg told reporters that his client hopes to post the required $100,000 cash bail Monday evening to be released from a prison hospital unit where he was placed to keep him apart from the general inmate population.

“Mr. Kelly has done absolutely nothing wrong,” Greenberg said. “No one has showed us any evidence that he has done anything wrong.”

The charges against the performer came just weeks after the Lifetime television network aired the six-hour documentary series entitled “Surviving R. Kelly” in which multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct and abuse.

Reporting by Karen Pierog, additional reporting by Jackie Botts and Jonathan Allen in New York; editing by Cynthia Osterman, Bill Berkrot and Jonathan Oatis
