I never had the urge to write music growing up in Boston. My only options were to play ball or work my way up from the streets and the bare minimum given to us. After getting into some trouble in my city my mother moved me and some of my siblings to South Carolina to continue our education to hopefully graduate and continue playing sports because we had dreams to go to the NBA. I met my friend more like blood; Windell from Brooklyn and we really caught a vibe because we both were from up north. As basketball season came around we would go to each other’s cribs and just create music. One day I went over there after basketball practice; tired, and he was in the closet full of shoes and jackets trying to make a hit record to send to his cousin hoping for a record deal. He had a free verse on the song and I offered to get on it with no real intentions of a music career. We recorded the song and went to school the next day and we were making noise in the small town of Lake City, quick! Next thing we were performing at birthday parties and local events. Since then I’ve fell in love with expressing myself off of the court being such a quiet person. I do this for myself and my family, I want to continue to enjoy my craft and be able to feed my loved ones off of the stuff I provide/create. And spread the messages I have for the world and hopefully they stick to people for the better outcome.Stay Connected With Smoove Jée On Social Media:Twitter: www.twitter.com/smoovejeeInstagram: www.instagram.com/smoove_jeeRead more…
