George Zimmerman, the onetime neighborhood watch volunteer who was acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin in Florida, has sued the boy's family and others for damages in excess of $100 million.

The lawsuit was filed Wednesday in Polk County Circuit Court and cites information from a documentary about Zimmerman's case "that accuses the Martin family of engineering false testimony."

Zimmerman is represented by Larry Klayman, the founder of conservative legal-rights group Judicial Watch, and is seeking "$100 million in civil damages, alleging defamation, abuse of civil process and conspiracy," according to the Miami Herald. It claims the defendants “have worked in concert to deprive Zimmerman of his constitutional and other legal rights.”

The 36-year-old fatally shot Martin, an unarmed black 17-year-old who was staying in the gated townhouse community in Sanford where Zimmerman lived and was serving as a neighborhood watch volunteer in February 2012. In 2013, Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in the case.

The lawsuit names Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, who has become a gun control advocate in the wake of her son's death and is running for a seat on the Miami-Dade County Commission, as the lead defendant. At the time of his death, Martin lived with Fulton in Miami Gardens and was visiting his father in Sanford.

The lawsuit "presses the Zimmerman version of events, with allegations of efforts by the Martin family to produce a false narrative through dishonest accounts from witnesses," according to the Herald.

The suit also names prosecutors involved in the case for alleged false prosecution. Additionally, Harper Collins is named because of its October release of “Open Season: Legalized Genocide of Colored People," a book written by lawyer Ben Crump, who represented the Martin family. Crump is also identified in the lawsuit.

Video After The Jump

An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department is under investigation after his body camera allegedly caught him fondling the body of a dead woman.

The officer and his partner were responding to a call about a possible dead body in a residential unit, sources told the Los Angeles Times, which first reported the incident.

The officers determined the woman was dead, and while one officer went to get something from the patrol car, the accused officer turned off his body-worn camera and allegedly fondled the deceased woman's breasts, LAPD officials told the LA Times.

Though the camera was turned off before the incident, it was captured by the two-minute buffer on the device, the newspaper reported.

"The department is aware of the incident and an internal investigation has been launched," LAPD officer Jeff Lee said, adding that he cannot comment further on pending personnel matters.

LAPD Assistant Chief Robert Arcos told the LA Times the recording was "very disturbing."

A source familiar with the investigation said the incident happened a few weeks ago but was found in a random check of bodycam footage. He called the incident "way beyond the pale" and "unacceptable" and said co-workers of the accused in LAPD's Central Division are furious.

The case has not been referred to the District Attorney's office since it is still under investigation. The newspaper reported that the officer, whose name was not released, was placed on leave.

"If this allegation is true, then the behavior exhibited by this officer is not only wrong, but extremely disturbing, and does not align with the values we, as police officers, hold dear and these values include respect and reverence for the deceased," the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the union representing the officer, said in a statement. "This behavior has no place in law enforcement."

HAINES CITY, Fla. — A father who police say left his juvenile son on the side of the road because he suspects his son is gay is due in court Tuesday.

The incident occurred Sunday, Haines City Police say in an affidavit.

The boy, whose age was redacted, was dropped off in front of the closed police department with a small duffel bag with several pieces of clothing, according to police. The boy had no food, water, or money with him.

An officer dispatched to the location said the boy was very upset and crying. According to the report, the boy told the officer that his father, 30-year-old Evenaud Julmeus, thinks he is gay because his father found him "watching male pornography on his cell phone."

The victim advised that his father told him to pack a bag and that he was taking him to the police department where they would find him a new home.

According to the report, Julmeus made his son get out of the vehicle while sitting in a turn lane on U.S. Highway 27 before driving off.  The boy did not have a phone to contact anyone, and his father hadn't tried to contact law enforcement to advise them of the situation.

A bystander who saw what happened contacted the police department, authorities said.

The mother of the boy went to go look for her son after learning what happened. Julmeus had fled the home before police arrived, they said, leaving two children alone at the home with no supervision.

Julmeus has been charged with three counts of negligent child abuse without bodily harm.

When Westside Gunn entered the rap game he had a plan and things are coming to fruition. The Griselda Records movement is as strong as ever, with Conway the Machine and Benny the Butcher becoming stars.

Gunn also knew the year he would hang up the mic. He's talked about in interviews, but people didn't know it would be at the height of his career.

On the heels of Griselda's Shady Records debut album "W.W.C.D," Westside confirmed via his Instagram account that his swan song will be his forthcoming collaborative project with Madlib, which is coming in 2020.

"Well Since MADLIB told y’all.... YES the WSG x MADLIB Project is dropping 2020, in 19’ I gave y’all Awesome GOD, HWH7, and WWCD soon as the ball drop I’m right back on the N.... necks," he wrote. We're sure the Buffalo native will still be a fixture in the music scene as he guides Griselda's future. Fans just won't be hearing his slick rhymes and unique voice on beats anymore.

Montana country rapper Overtime has released his brand new video for "Hey Now". The track is the latest single from Overtime's upcoming studio album ‘Divided We Fall’, which is scheduled for December 13th release via OneRPM distribution. Overtime’s “Divided We Fall” is currently available for pre-order online at https://fanlink.to/dwfpreorder

"The song 'Hey Now' is about feeling like everything you do and say is being judged. It's about standing in the face of adversity and believing in yourself. It's about making the choice to do something and seeing it through," commented Overtime. "In a crowded room, I'm alone much like I am when I'm in the backcountry of Montana. I chose the location and theme for Hey Now to be in a place of solitude. It really shows that no matter how big you think you might be, we're all so small in the grand scheme of things. Montana has a way of reminding you of that."

Overtime is an American rapper/singer/songwriter best known for his blue-collar work ethic and music that fuses together hip-hop, country, and rock. Born in Bozeman but raised in Missoula, Overtime has been making a name for himself as one of the most explosive acts to mix together country and rap. Aniah Blanchard Murder

12353263463?profile=original

Officials say Aniah Blanchard was killed by a gunshot ... and now, they're seeking the death penalty for her alleged killer.

Blanchard's body was recovered in a wooded area in Macon County, Alabama on Nov. 25 after she had gone missing for weeks.

The medical examiner conducted an autopsy and determined Blanchard -- the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris -- was killed by a gunshot ... but didn't specify to which part of her body.

Now, prosecutors say the man accused of pulling the trigger -- Ibraheem Yazeed -- is being charged with capital murder, and they're seeking the death penalty.

"This case has shaken our community to its core," Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes said Monday ... "It is my intention that the response to this horrific crime serve as a warning to anyone who believes they want to come to Lee County and engage in violent criminal behavior."

Hughes added, "You will be dealt with and the consequences will be severe."

So far, three men have been arrested in connection with Blanchard's abduction ... but Hughes said Monday Yazeed is now believed to be the "lone person responsible" for Blanchard's death.

Hughes says Yazeed abducted Blanchard from an Auburn gas station on Oct. 23 ... and his first-degree kidnapping charge has now been upgraded to capital murder.

Yazeed is still being held in jail without bond.

As for Blanchard's family, her mother, Angela Harris, emotionally spoke about the tragedy last week ... while Walt Harris penned a thank-you note to Aniah on social media, writing, "This pain is unbearable."

The man charged with kidnapping Aniah Blanchard is now charged in her death, Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes announced on Monday.

Blanchard, 19, was abducted in October outside an Auburn convenience store and was found dead last week in rural Macon County woods. The cause of Blanchard’s death was a gunshot wound, Hughes said.

Three people have been charged in connection with the abduction.

Ibraheem Yazeed, 29, was initially charged with first-degree kidnapping and has been held without bond in the Lee County Jail since his Nov. 8 arrest. Video evidence from the College Street convenience store placed both Blanchard and Yazeed at the store during the same time. Yazeed has a history of arrests for violent crimes.

Yazeed is now charged with capital murder. Hughes said his office will seek the death penalty.

During the course of the investigation into Blanchard’s disappearance, it was determined Yazeed abducted her from the Chevron gas station on College Street in Auburn, Hughes said. "After the arrest of Mr. Yazeed, the focus of the investigation turned exclusively to finding Aniah,'' he said.

On Nov. 25, investigative efforts led authorities to County Road 2 in Macon County where human remains were found and later determined by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences to be those of Blanchard.

The charge against Yazeed is capital murder because Blanchard was killed during the course of another felony crime, which in this case was kidnapping. Hughes declined to say when Blanchard was actually shot to death, nor would he discuss whether Blanchard was a crime of opportunity and what the suspect’s ultimate motive may have been.

"In the interests of public safety, I can say that the investigation has determined Ibraheem Yazeed to be the lone person responsible for Aniah’s abduction and her murder and he remains in the Lee County jail without bond,'' Hughes said. “Mr. Yazeed remains innocent of any charges against him until his guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt.”

"This case has shaken our community to its core, and I cannot say enough about how the Auburn Police Division—and every other agency involved in this case—responded to the report of Aniah’s disappearance,'' the district attorney said. “From its first moments, law enforcement moved swiftly and methodically to find Aniah’s abductor, her murderer, and her. The process of seeing justice done on behalf of Aniah and her family will not be swift, but it will be thorough.”

"It is my intention that the response to this horrific crime serve as a warning to anyone who believes they want to come to Lee County and engage in violent criminal behavior. You will be dealt with and the consequences will be severe,” Hughes said.

The two others charged in connection to the case are Antwain “Squirmy” Fisher, 35, and David Lee Johnson Sr., 63.

Fisher is also charged with first-degree kidnapping and remains held on $50,000 bond. Authorities said Fisher “provided material assistance to Yazeed by providing transportation to Yazeed, and disposing of evidence,’’ according to court records.

Johnson is charged with hindering prosecution. Authorities say he knew his son allegedly drove Yazeed to Florida, but instead told investigators Yazeed left his home with an unidentified woman. Johnson has been released on bond.

Hughes did not say whether charges against Fisher or Johnson could later be upgraded as well.

The announcement came one week after Blanchard’s remains were discovered and police officially declared her death a homicide investigation.
