During a video interview with HoodFiles.com earlier this month Cam’ron upset fans when he declared that the Dipset movement “is over.”
Diplomats Capo Jim Jones took to the airwaves yesterday (November 23) to react to Killa’s statements. “There aint no one person that can say Dipset is over,” he told radio personality Angela Yee on her Shade 45 show Lip Service. “People just been doin’ a lot of YouTubing and trying to get themselves hot. When you can’t get on the radio I guess YouTube is the next best thing to get on,” he said laughing.
In the April 2009 issue of XXL magazine Cam confirmed that he owned a majority percentage of the Diplomats. When asked if Jones was upset over the situation, the Harlem rapper got animated.
“I am Dipset,” he replied. “Whoever don’t like it come holla at me. I been Dipset. It started in the projects and ain’t nobody got me out of Apt. 5H but myself…and this is not a publicity stunt. I don’t go around sitting in shopping carts,” he continued, referring to Cam hopping in a cart at the end of the hoodfiles interview, ”I go around getting money. If there’s a problem; there’s a thin line between love and hate. “

AllHipHop Reports
Vengeful former Roc-a-Fella artist Beanie Sigel is receiving public support from fellow Philly native and boxing legend Bernard Hopkins, who verified the rumored police incident that ignited the Jay-Z/Beanie Sigel feud.
The former middleweight and light-heavyweight champion revealed in an exclusive appearance on AllHipHop Radio’s Eric B. & Friends Morning Show yesterday (November 23).
According to Hopkins, who appeared in Beanie Sigel’s State Property 2 film, Jay-Z had dozens of cops and dogs on hand to accost Sigel and remove Sigel from an October Powerhouse concert in Philadelphia.
“He had K9’s smelling, they said everybody had to move to the side to escort Beans out,” Hopkins told AllHipHop Radio. “I’m coming like yo what are all these police for? See you’re the man, you shut this sh*t down, it’s your show!”
Host Eric B attempted to defend Jay, rationalizing to Hopkins that Jay-Z has the same police presence at all his concerts, and the Sigel situation was likely just a security overreaction.
“In Jay’s defense, I think that’s John Menially {Jay-Z’s manager] and them, because Jay don’t really know what’s happening behind the scenes,” Eric B explained. “That’s them overreacting and then they blame Jay and say he knows exactly what’s happening. Bernard that’s like when you come to the ring, you don’t know what happened at the ticket booth, or with security, but ultimately you’re responsible.”
Hopkins remained skeptical of the explanation, and confirmed Sigel’s side that authorities targeted him specifically on direct orders.
“This was set up beforehand because they didn’t want Beans or none of the bulls in there. I didn’t want to get into it too deep, but there was more to it,” Hopkins maintained. “It was in and out, and they were looking for hammers and everything. I understand this wasn’t a regular show, but this was a whole different look, on some assassination bullsh*t. If that didn’t happen, I could probably agree with you [about Jay]. But when they go look for one dude, and tell him he got to leave? Maybe I’m wrong. Beans’ thing on the radio shows is that nobody was real with him.”
The Powerhouse incident, along with perceived shots on Jay-Z’s blockbuster Blueprint 3, prompted Sigel to lash out with several diss songs over the past month: “Average Cat,” “How I Could Kill Jigga Man,” and “Think Big.”
Additionally, Sigel publicly proclaimed his signing to 50 Cent, who in the weeks leading up to his latest LP (Before I Self Destruct) unsuccessfully tried to bait Jay-Z into a battle.
To date, Jay has not officially retaliated to Sigel or 50 Cent’s attacks.
However, fans have speculated that Jay-Z’s tongue in cheek rendition of his “Men lie, women lie, numbers don’t” phrase at the American Music Awards was a veiled reference to 50 Cent’s rumored subpar 1st week numbers for Before I Self-Destruct.
Bernard Hopkins is scheduled to make his return to the ring on December 2 against Enrique Ornelas.
The fight will air on the Versus network. If victorious, Hopkins will face longtime rival Roy Jones Jr in a PPV rematch on March 13.

Former drug kingpin "Freeway" Ricky Ross has teamed with Emmy Award winning actor and writer Nick Cassavetes, who will help produce and write a screenplay based on Ross’ life.
Ross and Cassavetes are working in conjunction with the Geno Taylor and Apocalypto Films to write and produce the screenplay to Ross' life.
The untitled, autobiographical film will reveal the truth about his Los Angeles upbringing, his struggle to become financially literate, his time behind bars and his journey to becoming educated.
"I love working with Nick, I think he’s great I love his films,” Rick Ross told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “He and I really vibed the first time we met and I think he truly understands the story. Not only has he been following my life for 25 years but he’s also someone I can kick it with!"
Cassavetes is known for directing such critically acclaimed films as The Notebook (2004), Alpha Dog (2006), and My Sister's Keeper (2009).
According to Cassavetes, his vision for the film seeks to expose the pitfalls of the African American dream in contemporary society.
"Freeway Ricky Ross is a living American legend. A modern day street genius. To not know his story is to not understand our country - how it works, what it needs, and what it will do to get it,” Cassavetes told AllHipHop.com. “From his modest Los Angeles beginnings to his meteoric rise to the top of the drug world, Rick's ‘hustle’ was unparalleled in modern history…but when that government was done with him, it locked him up and left him as the fall guy responsible for the destruction of an entire community.”
Nick Cassavetes
Ross served over 20 years in prison for his role in distributing hundreds of kilos throughout Los Angeles during the 1980's.
Ross presided over a drug empire that stretched from California to Ohio, in addition to grossing millions of dollars per week in illegal proceeds.
At present time there was no release date available for Ross' untitled autobiographical film.
Ross is currently traveling with his non profit organization The Freeway Foundation and speaking to children across the United States about their future aspirations and the perils of drug use and the dangers of being involved with gangs.

Rolling Stone Reports
f it seems like Dr. Dre has spent more time promoting his signature Beats By Dre headphones than finishing up his long-awaited Detox, he has a good reason for it: according to the legendary West Coast producer and his label boss, Interscope, Geffen and A&M chairman Jimmy Iovine, they’re hard at work on a noble crusade — saving the music industry from digital sound.
“There’s two things happening at once, it’s very important that we fix digital sound,” Iovine tells Rolling Stone of the state of the record biz. “Digital sound is damaging music, it’s damaging the artists. It’s so degrading. We’re the first industry to ever downgrade the quality of our product. It’s crazy. You go from a master [recording] to a CD quality, which is somewhat downgrading in the first place. Then you go to a computer where these gigantic companies spend 50 cents on the sound [for each unit]. Then you rip it onto an MP3. It’s like taking the Beatles remasters and playing them through a portable television.”
The Death of High Fidelity: read more about the sound wars.
Sitting in a small make-shift greenroom inside a New York City retail space last week, Dre and Iovine chatted about the launch of Club Beats, an in-store technology hub created in partnership between Beats By Dre, Monster and Best Buy. Ever since the early 2000s, physical album sales have been on the decline. And digital sales haven’t exactly made the pie whole again for labels when it comes to the revenue that was once generated from selling CDs. So in the “360″ era, where music moguls are looking to partner with artists on a variety of things, from publishing to touring to merchandise, you can see why Iovine is eager to push Dr. Dre-endorsed headphones and laptops.
If technology companies aren’t going to invest much into developing better speakers for the computers they sell, who better to get into that market then music-industry execs? Iovine cites Robert Stigwood’s RSO Records as an example of a record label that operated more like a “music company,” where investments and operations ranged beyond releasing music and included everything from management deals to backing Broadway plays.
“It’s called a record company, but what it really is [though] is a music company,” Iovine explains. “And it should do whatever the people at that music company feels is the direction that they should go in. Where they feel emotion, where they feel passion. A music company should do whatever the person feels, that’s why the more entrepreneurial people that get into music and start pushing the boundaries of it, is what a music company should feel like.
“The health [of the overall industry] will automatically come,” he adds, as a result.
So far Beats By Dre seems like a stunning success story. (Although company sales numbers are not available.) In addition to the signature headphones (cross marketed in a number of music videos by Interscope artists), a laptop partnership with HP has been birthed and the Beats By Dre banner also has released a line of earbuds endorsed by Lady Gaga.
Next up, Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am will develop a DJ-based item through Beats By Dre, according to Iovine. Diddy and David Guetta are expected to get on board, too, with projects that will undoubtedly be showcased prominently at Club Beats.
To understand how important these ventures are now in an era where Jay-Z, Madonna, and Shakira are signing multimillion-dollar deals with a touring company and forgoing the record company route, just listen to the joke Iovine cracked during the preceding press conference, to little laughter.
“For those who are fans of Dr. Dre, these headphones weren’t coming out until they sounded perfect,” he tells the crowd. “Or else we would have had Detox five years ago.”
Dre, a notorious perfectionist, at this point in his career now has something new to be transfixed on in the studio besides mixing records. “I just want people to hear the music the way it’s suppose to sound, the way we meant for them to hear it, ” he said of the audio equipment. “You sit in the studio all this time and make the music, tweak it, try to get it perfect. They should be able to hear it that way.”

Video After The JumpNinemsn Reports
A mobile phone video has been released that shows a California police officer pulling a man from a train and smashing his head through a window.
The officer is seen pulling 37-year-old Michael Gibson off a train in Oakland and taking him towards the window.
The man collides with it, causing the glass to shatter onto both men.
Both the officer and Gibson suffered minor injuries in the incident, which happened on Saturday evening.
Gibson has been arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
The officer in the video is currently under investigation for using excessive force.
Bay Area Rapid Transit officials called a press conference soon after the video of the incident first appeared on YouTube.
“We are keenly aware of what YouTube brings to the public,” BART police patrol Commander Daniel Hartwig said.
“We want to assure the public that we are moving forward. We are not waiting.
“We are investigating this to the fullest extent.”
The quick response from the department appears to be an attempt to avoid a repeat of a similar situation that stormed out of control early this year.
In January, a video which was posted online showed a Bay Area officer fatally shooting unarmed man Oscar Grant III.
The video caused widespread outrage and led to riots in the community.

Esteemed auction house Phillips de Pury auctioned off 231 lots of music-related memorabilia in London on Saturday (Nov. 21). Among the strange and random artwork, fashion and photography was a rhinestone painting of Donna Summer by Mickalene Thomas, a Technicolor couture dress worn by Bjork on her 2009 tour, a self-portrait painted in blood by troubled musician Pete Doherty and, most importantly, a diamond-encrusted eye patch worn by legendary rapper Slick Rick.
The multicolor camouflage eye patch was designed in 2005 by Slick Rick's wife, Mandy, and given to him for his 40th birthday. It is set with colorless, pink, yellow, blue and black pavé diamonds, and was estimated to sell for £12,000-16,000 in the British auction, or equivalent to $20,000-25,000.
Rick, who was recently featured on Raekwon's 'Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Pt. 2,' has worn an eye patch since being blinded in the right eye by broken glass as an infant. The patch gave the rapper a signature flair, in addition to his resplendent gold tooth and diamond jewelry.
It is not yet known how much Slick Rick's eye patch sold for. We hope the gold tooth isn't next. Phillips de Pury's auction house was established in 1796, and boasts Marie Antoinette and Napoleon among its extremely wealthy former clientele.

Song After The JumpHipHopWired Reports
“If Proof was alive, he's be dying inside. You ain't no Hip-Hop messiah, you a b*tch cause you dissed Mariah. Sh*t like that, supposed to be private.”
It looks like old wounds heal slow as Canibus has set his sights back on Eminem to release another diss track at the Detroit native.
Rumored to be titled “Pop Killer”, the rapper, alongside another rapper known as DZK, digs up the past beef as he goes in on Mr. Mathers.
“I'ma fry you on behalf of Mariah and Michael, put you back on dem drugs, make you suicidal. You can't shut the record down, n*gga it's viral.”
For those that don't know the history, beef between the two reportedly started back in 1998 before Shady was even signed. Em states that he was approached by Canibus and Wyclef Jean and was asked if he wrote the lyrics to LL Cool J's diss track “The Ripper Strikes Back” which he denied, but added that Bus was rude with him.
Bus later tried to apologize for the incident by showing up at the Warped Tour in 1999 and asked him to rap along with him on the track “Phuck U”, but Shady turned it down, allegedly because he felt the track was a diss to Cool J.
Shots were allegedly fired initially on The Slim Shady LP and escalated once Canibus did his own version of “Stan” from The Marshall Mathers LP where he saved the life of the title character. The two continued to spar with each other up to 2002.
“He's a devil in a red dress on MTV. He signed more Black people than a basketball team. What you tryna say subconsciously, you can't ride the beat like me. Consciously, you know I'll rock you to sleep. Slim Shady, you a coward cause you scared to rap with me. The only Black man you respect is 50. And the greatest rapper of all time was dead right and dead wrong, you shouldn't even have been on that song.”
Artists such as Royce Da 5'9 have started to weigh in on the attempt by the rapper to wage war once again.
Wherever the random diss came from, only Bis knows, but Em is one with quite the track record with battle rap. “Warning” shows that he isn't afraid to throw a woman under the bus and his relentless references to his former wife Kim shows that he knows no bounds and can see no boundaries.
Engaging countless battles in his career ranging from Everlast to Cage to Ja Rule to Jermaine Durpi, the white rapper has earned his stripes in the battlefield. Good luck.
“I remember the first time we met, I ain't even like you. Walking around my video set like you was in high school. It must excite you seeing Black people being tribal. That's why Dr. Dre signed you.”Canibus "Pop Killer"Read more…

Charlotte Observer Reports
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A federal jury convicted Larry Whitfield, 20, of literally scaring a woman to death while running from the cops after attempting a bank robbery.
The case involved the death of 79-year-old Mary Parnell, a retired Wachovia officer who was at home September 2008 when Whitfield tried to use her house as a safe haven.
Parnell suffered a heart attack and died. The jury Friday said Whitfield's actions in her home caused her death, though the verdict stopped short of saying he'd killed her.
Whitfield was convicted of attempting to rob the Fort Financial Credit Union in Gastonia with a friend, Quanterrious McCoy, who has already pleaded guilty to the robbery. Whitfield was also convicted on two firearms charges.
Investigators said he and McCoy were separated while running from the cops, and Whitfield was trying to change clothes to get away. They believe he entered two homes in the process.
Parnell was dead when her husband found her hours later. The jury found Whitfield not guilty of killing her, but -- in a quirky three part verdict -- voted to place the blame for her death on him. That distinction still means he'll serve a mandatory life sentence.
Parnell's large family, in court Friday, was thrilled with the verdict. They spoke exclusively to Newschannel 36.
"He committed this crime with callous indifference. My mother-in-law had a heart attack right in front of this guy, and he didn't even have the decency to call an ambulance," David Hains said. "All he cared about was himself, and he can think about that for the rest of his life in jail."
A large group was also in court to support Whitfield. His mother Pauline declined to speak with us after the verdict. Before this case, he had a clean record and had graduated Harding High School in Charlotte.Read more…

“It's amazing how when I get around n*ggas, it's all good, when I leave, n*ggas do all their secret talking.”
The second return of Harlem rapper Mase has been one that has baffled fans and artists alike as the former Bad Boy artist has changed his skin on many occasions from rapper to pastor to rapper as if he was on the fence in terms of which lifestyle he preferred to embrace.
Since his second arrival, he has squashed his beef with Cam'Ron and Jim Jones, given the ability to work with other artists through a paperwork signing with Diddy and has ultimately been gearing up to hit the music scene once again.
Most recently, the rapper dropped a mixtape with 5 different DJs titled, I Do the Impossible.
Catching up with DJ Drama last Friday on Shade 45, Betha spoke on the shady business that happened behind closed doors with particular people when he tried to come back the first time.
That's when he tried to have people “Breathe, Stretch, Shake”, but some had to just let that one go.
“Every time I get involved with somebody, I'm good. When I get out of business with everybody, I'm not good. Anytime somebody can make money with me, they big the homie up. Every time n*ggas can't get money with me, they throw their little shots at me. That lets you know. For ten 10 years, I haven't been on the scene, I don't sell cologne, I don't sell sneakers, I don't sell no video games, I don't sell music and I'm still one of the hottest topics anywhere you go.”
The rapper also spoke on his brief stint with 50 Cent and G-Unit where he was scrutinized and labeled as being fake for “ditching” his religious teachings and being engulfed by the gun and drug rap revolutionized by Mr. Jackson.
“Me and Fif spoke in 2007 I think. I think, realistically, a lot of larceny was thrown in that. People didn't really see me get a shot. Fif ain't do nothin' but take me on the road and gave me exposure and gave me the opportunity to do what I'm about to do now. I guarantee I'm about to burn it down.”
The deal was for a moment as 50 stated that Diddy wasn't willing to compromise which resulted in Mase parting with G-Unit Records.
“I think a lot of things were said when I wasn't there that swayed the deal away from happening and Fif is his own man, he made his own decision. I'm glad he made the decision he made because now this is the destiny. The destiny was for me to stand on my own and burn the joint down and give niggas that 9 months that Tupac gave them.”
Now on his own, the rapper seems to be traveling his own road and now has clarity as to which path he wants to lead in his musical career. Welcome back…again.

Dr. Dre's Monster Cable/ ‘Beats By Dre' headphones line have experienced wide stream success. The line teams together Jimmy Iovine of Interscope, Best Buy and Dr. Dre's emblem. While out promoting the innovative audio enhancers at New York City's Union Square Best Buy, Dre found himself targeted by questions off subject but exactly what everyone was wondering. In particular,an interviewer took it upon himself to ask the million dollar question, “WHEN IS HE RELEASING DETOX?!”The good doctor answered the question very vaguely saying,“The minute it's done and it feels right to me, that's when it'll come out. Hopefully in the beginning of the year.”We've all heard that one before. In other words, NEVER. SMHJust as he thought he would be asked about his latest technological advance, Dre found himself cornered once again after being presented with a question about 50 Cent and Game. When asked his opinion on their consistently brewing beef he responded,"Everything is good. Been working with both guys, everything is good. Both guys are gonna be on my record. I'm just trying to put it back where it's supposed to be, all love."Getting back to the reason for the event, Dre introduced his latest collaboration with Best Buy, and Interscope.“What we're trying to do with Beats is make sure everybody not only gets the best listening sound but the right way to listen to it.”After watching this footage it's clear that Dre's focused on getting money. Sorry for everyone waiting patiently on Detox, looks like you'll have to be content with watching him in soda commercials and promoting headphones. For now at least…..
