Meek Mill is no stranger to the battle rap scene. Early in his career he honed his emcee skills going up against other emcees. Although it's been a while, Meek feels like he still has what it takes.
Last month Meek sent out a Tweet saying he would battle DNA or E-Ness.
In a new interview with XXL's Editor at Large Shaheem Reid, Meek again expressed a desire to step back into the ring.
"I just ain't scared to do it," Meek said. "I was really the first to do two tours without having an album out. The first to do three million downloads in an hour or two. The first to jump back in the rind and battle. One of the first to be rocking arenas in cities where people never even heard of me. So why not be the first to jump back in that ring to do my thing, it's what I love."
When DNA was asked about Meek's challenge last month he said he didn't know if Meek was ready because the landscape has changed dramatically in the last few years.
"Meek Mill has battled years ago in like 2003, but with all that being said this battle world done changed.." DNA said at the time. "This ain't what they used to do in '03, this is 2012 and it's way advanced."

Meek says he's not at all worried about losing.
"I don't even have plans on losing. I lost my first battle when I was thirteen. The guy was sixteen years old, I didn't know too much. I didn't have good topics to rap about. He know more than me." Meek explained. "But since then I never lost a battle. I think I battled 1500 people in my life."
After years of being out of the scene do you think Meek has what it takes to become a top notch battle rapper again?

Yesterday the internet was buzzing because of an interview by Gucci Mane where he went at Nicki Minaj, French Montana and Yo Gotti.
As we reported at the time, Gucci called Gotti a "busta" because he was going to drop a mixtape on October 17th, the same day as Gucci's Trap God.
Gotti heard about the drama and in an interview with Devin Steel of Memphis radio station K97 he addresses it.
Gotti says he had no idea initially that his CM7 tape was coming out the same day as Gucci's.
"I do my music and I don't keep up with what other people doing," Gotti said. "When I'm locked in the studio I ain't walking around with no laptop, no iPad. I just got my phone. Foe one I ain't checking to see when you drop. It don't mean nothing to me."
Gotti said that when he found out he and Gucci were releasing mixtapes on the same day he thought it was a good thing because he and Gucci were supposed to be friends. After unsuccessfully trying to reach Gucci on the phone he found out later that it was a problem and Gucci was going to be dropping a diss record going at him.
"I'm more disappointed than anything really because I heard about the [diss] record last night. I haven't heard it yet, but I heard about the record last night." Gotti explained. "Like two or three in the morning my phone get the texts and calls like, 'homie did this, homie did that.' That comes from some of the people that's around him because they cool with me. So when he was doing it they was hitting me like, 'homie wigging.' Because they don't really understand why he doing it.. At the end of the day I'm more disappointed in him than anything because I looked at him different. What I perceived of him is not what he's playing out... the Gucci I always knew. I thought you was a straight up, stand up guy, a street type dude and street dudes don't handle business like that."
Gotti also addresses situation with Plies. Peep the rest of the interview below.
