Nicki Minaj has been receiving a lot of criticism from some Democrats for her lyrics in a song that seemed to indicate she was endorsing Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

The rapper who has become famous for her many cartoonish voices and characters seems relieved to have the speculation come to an end.

As we reported earlier today, President Obama appeared on Florida radio station Power953 this morning and said he thought the line was just Nicki playing one of her many characters and not an actual endorsement of Romney.

"I'm not sure that's actually what happened," Obama said. "I think she had a song on there. A little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

12348596256?profile=original

Nicki took to Twitter not long afterwards and thanked Obama for understanding her sense of humor and said she supported him.

12349492281?profile=original

The rapper and her Barbz have spent the last couple of hours celebrating the fact Obama mentioned her.

Diddy took in his son Justin Comb's game Saturday when UCLA played Nebraska, and like any proud parent he couldn't help but be ecstatic about his son's achievement's.

By Diddy's side was Justin's mom, designer Misa-Hylton Brim.

"It's so crazy to see him actually down there," Diddy said. "This is what he worked hard for. I didn't even know that he was doing it. I didn't know what was going on until I started seeing letters [from colleges]. He did it on his own. I didn't make one call for my son"

Justin got a full athletic scholarship to play for the Bruins, which is worth $54,000. Some people weren't pleased the son of a rich hip hop mogul got a free ride to play football at the school, but he earned it on the field at New York's New Rochelle Iona Prep where he starred as a cornerback

12349491074?profile=original

"If his athletic abilities deserve it, then more power to him," Emily Resnick, the outgoing president of UCLA's Undergraduate Students Assn, told the L.A. Times back in June.

Justin won't play this year while he gets stronger physically and learns the playbook.

He’s learning the system, but he gets to put on his uniform in case of an emergency,” Diddy said.

UCLA beat Nebraska in the game on Saturday and are now ranked 23rd in the coaches poll.

Audio After The Jump

President Obama called into Kissimmee, Florida radio station Power953 this morning to talk politics with the Obie and Lil Shawn show. While most of the interview centered on serious campaign issues, the conversation did shift briefly to Nicki Minaj and her endorsement of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Obama was first asked if his daughters listened to the Young Money rapper.

"You know I don't they really listen to Nicki Minaj that much," Obama responded.

The president was then asked about Minaj's endorsement of Romney on Lil Wayne's Dedication 4 mixtape.

"I'm not sure that's actually what happened," Obama said. "I think she had a song on there. A little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

12349475083?profile=original

For those of you who hadn't heard the endorsement, it's on the song "Mercy."

I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b*tches are f*cking up the economy,” Minaj rapped.

Minaj has received death threats over the line, but as we previously reported she isn't even registered to vote

Videos After The Jump

Coldplay, Jay-Z and Rihanna thrilled a crowd of more than 80,000 at the Paralympics Closing Ceremony in London on Sunday when they performed several of their biggest hits on stage together.

The all-star trio performed "Run This Town," "We Found Love," "Viva La Vida" and "Paradise," which Jay-Z added an extra verse to.

Hov decoded the new verse on his website Life + Times. Check out what he had to say and watch the performances below.

“The thought behind the verse is, anyone with a disability, just wants a sense of normality – that’s why they’re competing in these games. That was the idea to make the verse as inclusive for as many people, and to make it as normal as possible. It’s influenced by so many different things. There are parts that are influenced by Gabby Douglas, there are parts that are influenced by Ryan Lochte, and by Serena Williams.”

“Paradise”

I deserve a gold medal, get on my level/
I deserve platinum plaques, to match my bezel/
I walk around with five rings ["five rings" being the Olympic Rings], so pimpish/
Welcome to the Paralympics/
It’s paradise, this is the story of Gabby/
It’s paradise, it’s paradise/
Tears in her eyes, she sacrificed, he sacrificed, she paid the price/
This is everything, everything she ever dreamed/
She had nightmares she wouldn’t be here, she made the team/
From the projects to the podium, accepting awards with my Rollie on/
Gettin’ Gold medals with my grill in [Ryan Lochte, obviously]/
C-walking, cause all they see is a villain [Serena, obviously]/
More belts than Phelps, Merry Christmas, my presence is felt/
Gold medals around my throat/
You can take everything, except the hope of reaching paradise.

“It can relate to everybody. ‘You can take everything,’ means whether through some tragedy you lost a limb, like an arm or a leg. Or, it could be something like you lost the mortgage to your house. That’s pretty much the idea.” - JAY Z

Kanye West raps about Kim Kardashian and Ray J's sex tape in his new song "Clique," and as it turns out he's been a fan of it for quite a while now.

TMZ reports that the Louis Vuitton Don used to use the 2007 tape as motivation in the bedroom. Often watching it while chopping down other women. Reportedly it always worked for him.

That may explain the rapper's quest to make the Kim his woman, which began as far back as 2009 when he allegedly tried to get her to break up with Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush.

Kanye’s ex girlfriend, Amber Rose, told Star Magazine back in January that he cheated on her with Kim K.

12349467486?profile=original

Kim is one of the main reasons why me and Kanye are not together,” Amber said at the time. “She’s a homewrecker. They were both cheating. They were both cheating on me and Reggie with each other.

Wild stuff...

Gucci Mane will have to pay the woman he kicked out of his moving car nearly $60,000 after she sued him according to TMZ.

The incident happened in April 2011. Gucci, real name Radric Davis, met Diana Graham at an Atlanta Mall. The rapper invited her out for breakfast, which she agreed to. He then tried to offer her $150 to stop by a hotel with him. When she refused, he pushed her out of his car while it was in motion. She was taken to the hospital with "soreness and pain."

Gucci was arrested on misdemeanor battery charges stemming from the incident.

Diana sued the rapper claiming mental anguish, pain and emotional distress.

Gucci failed to show up in court and a judge ruled in Diana's favor. The default judgement of $58,161.24 is for medical expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering.

The judge also signed an order allowing Diana to go after the rapper's cars, bank accounts and other assets to settle her debt.

French Montana has achieved what just about every artist wants when they start their career. The South Bronx rapper is now famous and has more money than he can possibly spend, but that success has come with a price.

During a recent interview with TheBoomBox, French revealed that his five year marriage couldn't survive his rising fame.

"Man, I couldn't do it; that's why we got separated," French explains to The BoomBox. "At first it was smooth, but then as much as people think that money changes you, it's changing them around you. A person ain't gonna treat you the same now that they think that you think you somebody."

French said constantly being around groupies and sexy women also caused a strain.

"You around so many beautiful women, that's a conflict too," he says. "It's just about finding somebody that understand the game, what you're into. But then on the flip side of the coin, you gotta understand their game, what they into. There's a flip side to everything. You can't expect to make all this money and not go through problems. You can't expect God to give you everything you want without taking something away."

12349465053?profile=original

The Bad Boy artist also discussed his outrageous spending habits, which include purchasing a fleet of cars and a $350,000 Rolls-Royce Ghost.

"When you finally get the chance to buy it, you buy it," French said. "You don't really give a f*ck about what it cost, whatever. Just to get it off your chest. Then people hit you with the stupidest shit every time you about to buy it. They don't help you, they just tell you, 'Well, you only live once.' How many times you heard that one? 'You only live once.' Before you know it, you dead broke. F*cked up in the game."
