Missy Elliott is back on the scene with her frequent collaborator Timbaland. Missy is hard at work on her first album since 2005's The Cookbook.
The Virginia MC gave fans a taste of what they can expect from her new album when she released the two singles "9th Inning" and "Triple Threat" earlier this week.
Fuse caught up with Missy to chop it up about the new project. She says the idea to get back into the studio was sparked by several phone calls from Timbaland.
"Well actually Timbaland called me [and] he said, 'we gotta put out music right now, the time is right now.' He said, 'we've got to change music.' I guess he was having a moment. He really kept putting in that call," Missy recalled
The name of the album is tentatively titled Block Party or Class Dismissed, and will be released later this year. Do you think Missy can make a big change in the current music scene?

Kanye West's obsession with Kim Kardashian far exceeds what we have already heard about.
Earlier this month we reported that Kanye frequently watched Kim's 2007 sex tape with Ray J while chopping down other women. Now comes a new report that Kanye made his own sex tape with a Kim K. look-a-like and it's being shopped around.
RadarOnline is reporting that the tape was made shortly before Kanye started dating Kim and he is scared to death of the tape getting out.
The woman in the tape is said to be a dead ringer for Kim, with a curvaceous body and long dark hair.
In the beginning of the 20-minute tape the woman states that she is 18-years old.
"My husband and I don't have sex anymore… that's why I'm here!" the unidentified woman says.
RadarOnline has seen the full tape and verifies that it is Kanye in it. The screenshot up top is from the tape. The two reportedly have sex in several different positions throughout, but never kiss and don't interact other than banging. Kanye wears a condom the entire time.
Kanye is seen setting up the camera in the beginning and looks directly into it when he shuts it off at the end.
"The sex tape is being shopped right now and there's a lot of interest, but Kanye is freaking out!" a sex industry insider revealed. "He doesn't want this tape out and will do anything to make sure it stays private. If this were to hit the market it would be worth a fortune… there would definitely be a lot of people wanting to see this! In my expert opinion Kanye's performance far outweighs Kim's!"
The Huffington Post reports that Sex.com -- a Pinterest for porn site has announced that they are offering $1 million for the video, and are willing to negotiate if that offer is too low.
In a statement, the a rep for the website writes:
Kanye West is an artist, one of the world's biggest stars, and ultimately a sex symbol which is why the curiosity of the public cannot go on. By making a Kanye West sex-tape public, Sex.com feels that he and current girlfriend Kim Kardashian will become the first celebrity sex-tape power couple. They will be the epitome of Western tabloid culture. The public already craves any details released about their relationship and this tape, filmed pre-relationship, will provide a frank view of the relationship's inception and confirm Kanye's rumoured obsession with the reality TV star.
However this ends, it isn't a good look for Yeezy.

T.I. paid another visit to The Breakfast Club this morning and had quite a bit to talk about.
Angela Yee spoke to Tip about a recent concert in Atlanta that also featured Future. She said there was noticeable tension in the air between the Atlanta rappers. Tip denied having any problem with Future.
"Funny thing, all the tension that was going on backstage never made it to me," Tip said. "I'm proud of the youngster. He's making a proper contribution to the uplifting of the city."
DJ Envy also asked Tip if he was taking a shot at Rick Ross when he Tweeted last month to "Put ya Mayback up!!"
Tip said he wasn't throwing shots Ross' way.
"I said put the Maybachs up. And I also said new car alert," explained Tip of the Tweet. "I'm very proud of my vehicles. I'm just letting people with some money know it's a new upper echelon vehicle out. It's the Bentley Mulsanne. Upon my reception of it I was like, 'oh this is doper than the Maybach, y'all should put your Maybachs up and get this.' I wasn't talking about nobody specifically."
Tip talked about his upcoming album, Trouble Man being the last on his current contract with Atlantic Records.
"I'm happy where I am if they are happy to have me." Tip said "I'm happy to finish my career there if they are happy to have me."

Hopsin sits down with Hard Knock TVto talk about a variety of topics.
The California MC speaks on the difference between being signed to Ruthless Records at one point and now being independent with his own label, Funk Volume.
"I learned to never sign a deal, and I had what it took all along," he said. "I used to think that I needed somebody else to help me get where I needed to get. If this was like ten years ago then I probably would need a record deal and I probably would have had to send a demo in and needed a label to help push and promote me. But thanks to the internet all that has changed."
Hopsin stressed the importance of artists being original and stop mimicking what they see other rock stars and actors do on tv.
He talks about the origin of the name of his record label, producing his own music, doing his own video, huge upcoming tour, Spiderman, moving to Australia and possibly retiring.

50 Cent called into Monterey, California radio station 102.5 KDON recently to talk to Eric The Funky 1. He opened up about the features on his upcoming album Street King Immortal.
"[People] can expect me, Eminem... I did a song with Chris Brown on the record, Trey Songz," 50 said. "I did a song with Ne-Yo. In the process I recorded with half of [the] music culture. I worked with everybody. In the past I hadn't reached out to artists and worked with them as much because 'Get Rich or Die Tryin' didn't have anyone that wasn't in house."
Erik congratulated 50 on the enormous success of Get Rich or Die Tryin, and said that when he throws on "In Da Club" it still gets the crowds pumping in the nightclubs almost 10 years later.
The conversation then shifted to 50's new movie Freelancers. The G-Unit boss talked about how great it was to get the chance to work with Forest Whitaker and Robert De Niro.
"I always wanted to keep myself associated with projects that have artistic integrity that I can be proud of, " 50 explained. "And having two Academy Award winning actors around me in the actual picture, you can't have more support than that."
Other topics covered included Street King energy drink, SMS Audio headphones, his workout routine and his upcoming fitness book Formula 50, which will be released on December 27 via iTunes andHardcover.

As the sports world tries to figure out how Vince Young blew $26 million in six years some troubling details are emerging about his spending habits that provide a clue.
As we previously reported, the former NFL player is broke and out of the NFL after failing to latch on to any of the three teams he played for. He was drafted third overall in 2006 by the Tennessee Titans. They gave the former University of Texas player a $26 million guaranteed contract. After a promising rookie year where he was named the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, things seemed to fall apart for Young on the field.
He never regained the magic he displayed at UT, or in his rookie year in the NFL. He was released by the Titans on July 28, 2011.
He signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles one day later on July 29, 2011. His primary on the Eagles was to serve as a backup for Michael Vick.
After one year with the Eagles he was cut and signed a free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills on May 11, 2012. His stay with the Bills didn't last long. They released him on August 27, 2012.
Vince is now out of the NFL and broke.
Tennessee sports radio station 104.5 The Zone fielded calls during the 3HL show from restaurant workers who watched the former player blow thousands of dollars on food and liquor for himself and teammates. He also bought out a Southwest Airline flight in 2007 for no apparent reason other than simply flying home to Houston.
Take a look at some of Vince's spending habits when he played for the Titans.
1. Vince Young's favorite restaurant to hang out in? T.G.I. Friday's on Nashville's West End Avenue.
It was here he once dropped $6k on a meal for he and other players.
Yes, $6k.
At a T.G.I.Friday's.
Players would congregate at the bar
2. The bartenders, who got to know Vince thanks to his frequent visits at T.G.I. Friday's, told Vince they'd make him a "special" drink.
It was a melon drop.
Which VY had everytime he came to the restaurant.
3. During his rookie season VY spent $5k a week at the Cheesecake Factory.
He always picked up the tab for multiple teammates.
4. On a 2007 Southwest flight from Nashville to Houston, VY bought all of the seats except for about ten passengers who'd bought tickets before he could buy the entire plane.
The plane seated 130 passengers, meaning VY purchased 120 of the seats.
5. After each home football game, VY headed for the Morton's downtown where he would sit at the bar and order $600 shots of Louis XIII.
That can add up in a hurry.
Yesterday Vince took to Twitter to defend himself, claiming things were not as bad as the media was making them out to be.

To coincide with the release of G.O.O.D. Music's highly anticipated Cruel Summer album, Kanye West put together a video speaking about the making of the project.
"I like when I get mad at music because it's so good that I'm like, 'oh sh*t why didn't we think of that?'" he says at the beginning of the clip.
It's that kind of perfectionist attitude that has propelled West into his present spot as one of the most creative minds in the business.
West says he wanted this project to be different and without any label politics, which is why he reached out to so many different camps outside of his own.
"One track might have 30 people's opinion on it," he explains. "It's not just about a tracklist and a name. It's about the communal style of work. We spend just as much time on the actual album packaging, as the the video concepts, as the song [itself]. Everything is equally as important."

On August 30, Chris Lighty passed away. Many who knew him are still struggling with the idea that he is gone. On Wednesday's MTV RapFix Live, former Violator Management President and Co-founder Mona Scott-Young and Missy Elliot talked with Sway about the impact Chris had on the business and their lives.
"I think sometimes it's good to do history," Missy said. "He's somebody that if anybody is trying to do management, A&R or whatever, I think you should know who Chris Lighty is. He built so many careers. He had that cockiness, but it worked for him because he made sure that all of his artists was good. He worked hard for all of us. He was just a go-getter."
Sway remembered a funny story about Chris and 50 Cent.
"I remember when [Chris] first started working with 50," Sway recalled. "And he brought 50 in here to do his first MTV interview before people even knew who he was. And I was talking to 50 and 50 was just saying the most wild things. This was early 50. And Chris and I got into it because he thought I was egging it on. And I almost smiled at him like, 'man I appreciate your passion for your artists."
Mona also spoke fondly of Chris as she reminded viewers of just how far back Chris's contributions to the industry go.
"I don't think people understand the magnitude of who he was and what he contributed," she said. "From the forefront it seems like it started with a 50, Busta or Missy, but this is a guy who goes back to Afrika Bambaataa, A Tribe Called Quest, the Rush days, the early Def Jam days. His contributions are innumerable, and I'm still reeling from it. It just still seems surreal to me."
