Styles P of The Lox thinks hip hop has becomes less competitive and gotten away from being gritty. He recently sat down with Vlad TV to explain what he means.
"I think the beef nowadays...I don't consider it beef," Styles said. "First of all hip hop should be competitive. All this friendliness sh*t, I'm not against it. But how the f*ck is everybody just friends and cool with each other? You know people you cool [with], you salute them, you respect what they do, but you have to have that edge of competitiveness. I always feel competitive as an emcee. You might be cool with me or whatever, but I wanna burn you on a track if we're on a track together. That's the nature of emceeing."
Styles recalls being on Bad Boy Records during the 2Pac and Biggie Smalls beef and thinks it was a shame both artists lost their lives. However, he would still handle his business in the streets if need be. He also speaks on his past beefs with 50 Cent and Beanie Sigel.

The new sleep cycle alarm clock patented app for Android and Apple, was developed by a medical scientist and neurologist.
The new Weight Loss Alarm Clock app is helping individuals lose fat, and excess weight by reducing stress and cortisol while sleeping.
The patented "The Weight Loss Alarm Clock" app for Android and Apple devices is the brainchild of a neuro scientist who took notice of a study from the National Research Centre for the Working Environment in Denmark, which showed that even a wake-up call from a conventional alarm clock, could put the human body under unhealthy stress and Cortisol.
?The study also revealed that higher and more prolonged levels of cortisol in the bloodstream in the morning had negative effects on individuals. Such as: weight gain, impotence, depression, suppressed thyroid function and blood sugar imbalances. It also was determined to cause a decrease in skeletal muscle tissue mass and power, skeletal muscle wasting, high blood pressure, lowered immunity, decreased testosterone levels, impaired erectile function, menstrual abnormalities, fatigue, pain, and migraine headaches.
The Weight Loss Alarm Clock app re-adjusts to the user's personal wake-up needs. The system keeps learning more about the user with every use, in order to lead a person smoothly from the deep sleep phase or dream phase, into the light sleep phase without notice.

Chief Keef is claiming racism played a big part in his arrest last week. The 17-year old Chicago rapper was taken into police custody last Monday at the LeMeridan Hotel near Atlanta and charged with disorderly conduct.
A security guard had gone to Keef's room to investigate a water leak when he smelled marijuana and called the police.
Sosa gave TMZ a different account of the incident, although he doesn't deny getting high.
"So me and my homie Tray Savage was in the hotel room chillin' when some fat ass security guard started knocking on the door talking about he needed to fix a water leak, So his a$$ walked in and started looking around at us and immediately gave me the racist look then started talking sh*t to me. I told him, 'I thought you wanted to fix a water leak?' Which he obviously lied 'cause there was no water leaking. Then he immediately started talking sh*t to us. He told me that he was going to call the police on me so I called him a bitch. He kept saying how the police about to be on their way to lock me up so I blew smoke in his face and pulled out 30 racks and said I got the bond money -- there is more where this come from. [He was] racist from the moment he walked in the room. The way he looked at us was a racist look."
The security guard says he was just doing his job when he called 911 because smoking weed and possessing is a crime.
The LAPD is investigating whether Chris Brown left the scene of a fender bender last week without giving his proper information to the other driver. If he did, what would have been a routine car accident with no injuries would now be considered a hit-and-run.
Brown and girlfriend Karrueche Tran were riding in Los Angeles on Tuesday May 21st, when Brown rear ended another vehicle. According to TMZ, the singer gave the other driver false insurance information and refused to give her his driver's license number.
Chris is on probation for assaulting Rihanna in 2009. If the police find that he broke the law by leaving the scene of an accident without fully disclosing all of the information required by law, his probation could be violated. As a result Chris could be sentenced to up to four years in prison.
The wheels have completely come off of the Amanda Bynes train. The former Nickelodeon star has been acting out in a variety of bizarre ways recently. From getting a DUI in 2012, reportedly talking to herself at the gym she works out at, posting strange pics and videos on Twitter, tweeting lewd messages to Drake, donning crazy wigs and getting arrested this week after throwing a bong out of her NYC apartment window and being in possession of weed.
Amanda Bynes in court this week
Today the troubled actress decided to add Rihanna to her list of people to annoy for no apparent reason by sending her several disturbing tweets. One of which referenced Riri being assaulted by Chris Brown.
Rihanna responded with a witty comeback.
That reply seemed to really anger Amanda. She sent out one more tweet which Rihanna didn't bother responding to.
Is this Amanda Bynes madness ever going to end? Or is this just the beginning?
2 Chainz was missing in action when Rihanna released her all-star remix of "Pour It Up." Here's a new version with Tity Boi's verse added along with Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, T.I. and Juicy J.

In February of 2012, we reported that rapper Tim Dog had died citing a Billboard report that stated he passed away at age 46 following a seizure and complications from diabetes.
Now it seems that Tim Dog, real name Timothy Blair, may have faked his death to get out of paying back debts to people he scammed out of money. Most notably Esther Pilgrim of Southaven, Mississippi.
Esther Pilgrim
Tim and Esther met on an online dating site in 2007. Tim visited her home and convinced her to give him $32,000 for an album that he never recorded.
Pilgrim reported the incident to police and Tim was arrested for fraud. After a plea deal the charge was reduced to grand larceny. In August 2011, Tim was sentenced to 14 days in jail and five years on probation. He was also ordered to pay Pilgrim $19,000 in restitution.
When Tim was reported dead, Pilgrim became suspicious and started to do some digging. She couldn't find a death certificate, where he died or where he was buried. After that Pilgrim, convinced that Tim had faked his death to avoid paying her back went to the prosecutor in Tim's grand larceny case, who also didn't believe the death story.
The Desoto County DA’s Office, filed a petition with a judge on May 21st To have Tim Dog’s probation revoked.
Steven Jubera
“I need proof,” Hernando Prosecutor Steven Jubera told Channel 3. “I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive. At the bare minimum he would get arrested and sit in jail until his court hearing."
One of Tim's closest friends is Ced Gee of The Ultramagnetic MC's. Ced told Channel 3 that he refused to attend Tim's funeral because his family couldn't produce a death certificate. He now believes the funeral never happened.
“I believe he was so angry that he had to pay me back,” said Pilgrim. "This is amusing to him."
Tim is best known for his 1991 diss track "F*ck Compton."
