Original Hot Boys member Turk is carrying a heavy heart right now. The rapper's father, Tab Virgil Sr., was killed by a hit-and-run driver in New Orleans on Wednesday (October 30). He was 52-years old.

Turk, real name Tab Virgil Jr., has been working hard to make sure his father gets a proper burial.

In a vlog released today Turk says he has reached out to Lil Wayne, Birdman, Slim and Mannie Fresh for assistance, but nobody has returned his calls.

"My daddy got killed, y'all already know what it is. Y'all look at the news," Turk said. "I just want y'all to know ain't no love lost. I'm still gonna be real. I can't make a n*gga be real. But it is what it is. Y'all showed me on too many occasions. But right now, this the last straw."

Turk took to Twitter to write that the same thing happened when his brother was killed. He reached out for help while he was still in prison, but got no replies from his industry friends.

The funeral service will be held for Mr. Virgil Sr. this Thursday.

Eminem's new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 is now in stores. One of the songs people have been talking about is "The Monster" featuring Rihanna.

Slim sat down with Sway Calloway to talked about why he picked her to sing the hook on the record.

"The kind of mood of the record. I felt like as soon as I got the beat, it was like I just heard her on it," Eminem said. "I think people look at us both like we're a little nuts. That's one of the things I was telling her in making the record. I think people look at us a little crazy."

Eminem's manager, Paul Rosenberg, said we can expect a music video for the song at some point in the future.

Here's a battle between Uno Lavoz vs. Purpose for their recent World Domination 4 event.

Always a fan favorite, Uno Lavoz's career has seen him move from a heavily joke focused emcee, to a hard hitting punchline rapper, and now to a solid mix of humor and bars that appeals to a much more universal audience. The Philadelphia, PA battle rapper earned his stripes in Grindtime in which he worked his way through a slew of lower ranked opponents before gaining notoriety on the King of the Dot stage. Now an internally renowned battler, Uno has traveled across the world to countries such as England and Australia, with resume including opponents Henry Bowers, Nils M/ Skils, Jonny Storm, and Madness. Back in Toronto for his third World Domination, Uno Lavoz steps up against one of the best Australian battlers to do it, Purpose.

Despite not having been as active as some of his battle rapping compatriots, Purpose has an already established reputation as one of Australia's best. First making a name for himself during the World Rap Championships with partner Prime, Purpose worked with his teammate to tear through the competition before losing to the eventual Australian champions, 360 and Anecdote.
