Video After The Jump The video shoot for Dr Dre's "Kush" video just went down in Los Angeles. A lot of Cali love was on deck, as Roccett, E-40, Glasses Malone and more showed up for the shoot. West Coast rapper Rockett says he has a newfound respect for G-Unit boss 50 Cent. As Roccett tells it, 50 rolled up on a group of crips, showing no fear and asked for directions to the video shoot. "I don't know what issues certain n*ggas got with other n*ggas, I don't get into all that," Rockett said. "But I know right now [at that moment], I'm on the corner with the crips straight up. I don't know 50... 50 don't know me. The n*gga drive by us, we don't know who he is, so we looking at the car like 'who cuz?' He pull off [and] u-turn back and pull up like 'where the video shoot?' We like 'cuz this n*gga gonna double back?'. I got respect for cuz period [after that]. The way he did that, most rap n*ggas wouldn't have doubled back. Most rap n*ggas would have been like 'is that 15-20 n*ggas on the corner? I aint turning around.' " Roccetts' homie chimed in. "He doubled back with his head out of the car [sunroof]. Most n*ggs wouldn't have done that. We respect him for that." 50 once again proves he really is the realest dude in the game. twitter-5d.gif

BoomBox.com Reports The original mad rappers, Onyx, are back, and they're not happy about Damon Dash's 'Blak Roc' collaboration album with The Black Keys. In a recent interview on Angela Yee and Leah Rose's Lip Service radio show on Shade 45, the baldhead rappers discussed yelled about Dash's project, which features notable MC's like Ludacris, Jim Jones, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch and more. "N----s is biting the whole f---in' movement," explained a ticked off Fredro Starr. "The 'Black Rock' s---, we been rocking with that. Now I'm hearing other n----s coming out with it...I ain't sayin' no f---in' names. You know what it is man, holla at me n----, 100 mad n----s with guns n----, stop playing games with me!" While Dash's 'Blak Roc' project was only recently announced, Onyx have been talking about their forthcoming studio album, 'Black Rock' since 2008. "Black Rock is a hybrid album -- rock influenced with hip-hop underneath it," Fredro said at the time. "It's us repping for the rebels of the world, the rebels of the street who Onyx represents. It's a where hip-hop meets the mosh pit." Dame's collaboration with the Black Keys is scheduled for a Nov. 27 release, unless Sticky Fingaz has something to say about it. "Onyx is putting out a 'Black Rock' project, and that's it! And anybody else, tryna put putting out a black rock project, you biting!" blustered Sticky, who then proceeded to threaten to put "trademarks around your f-----' eyes" and "do to y'all n----s like the f---in' candyman, come find y'all n-----s one at a f---in' time!"

As for approaching Dame about the similarity of their projects, Onyx isn't interested in such acts of diplomacy. "It ain't about who put it out first, it's about who getting punched in they f---in' eye first," Sticky Fingaz concluded. Check The Lip Service Interview Here Additional Source

Karrine Steffans XXL Reports Former XXL Eye Candy of the Year, Angel Lola Luv recently shared her thoughts about ex-rap video vixen Karrine Steffans on her blog for globalgrind.com. Angela Lola Luv

In the post Luv accuses Steffans, whom she refers to by “Superhead,” of giving video girls a bad name. “There are a lot of different reasons why I could never ride with the choices that ‘Superhead” made,” Luv wrote. “I feel as though she played a major part in people really believing that all video vixens are just like her. Which is TOTALLY wrong! There is a difference between a ‘Video Vixen/Model’ and a ‘Video Hoe/Groupie.’ From the way they conduct themselves, their mentality and of course their agenda! The perceptions that people have of me and most video models are the total opposite of reality.” Luv goes on to say that because of Steffans’s books - The New York Times best sellers Confessions of a Video Vixen and The Vixen Diaries – many models in the hop-hop industry get stereotyped as promiscuous. “I never went down the same path Superhead did,” she said. “I hold my head up high when I walk because I never had to sleep with anyone to get this far. So when people claim I slept with this person and that person all I can say is check my record. I get my respect in the industry because no one can say they dealt with me beyond a friendship or associate level except one person. Period! There are a lot of video vixens that haven’t either but because of Superhead people think other wise.” XXLMag.com recently caught up with Steffans to get her response to Luv’s charges. “I don’t respond to that,” she said. “I don’t even know who she is, but she knows who I am. That means I’m famous and she’s not. So automatically, we don’t have to discuss her. We just go back to talking about me because I’m the only famous person in this sentence. That’s that.” Steffans will be releasing her new book The Vixen Manual: How To Find, Seduce, & Keep The Man You Want this Monday (July 13)
