Former NFL star Randy Moss passed his athletic genes down to his daughter, Sydney Moss.

 

Sydney, a 5-foot-10 sophomore guard at Thomas More College, broke the Division III record for points in a game by scoring 63 on Friday to help her team defeat Waynesburg University by a score of 106-88.

The previous record for points was 61, set by Ann Gilbert of Oberlin College in 1991.

The win put Thomas More into today's title game against Washington & Jefferson in the 2013-14 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Basketball Championship Tournament in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.

The Queen of Disco is dead.

 

Donna Summer died Thursday morning after succumbing to a long battle with cancer, TMZ.com reported. She was 63.

 

Born in Boston on New Year's Eve 1948, Summers came to define the sound of late '70s and early '80s radio with hits including "Last Dance", "Bad Girls" and "She Works Hard for The Money".

 

The five-time Grammy winner leaves behind a husband, songwriter Bruce Charles Sudano, and three daughers, Mimi, Brooklyn and Amanda Grace.

 

Sources told TMZ that the singer was trying to complete an album at the time of her death.
