The world is anxiously awaiting the release of 50 Cent's Street King Immortal album. There is nothing the rapper would like to do more than give his fans the product, but there have been a lot of changes at Interscope and he feels they dropped the ball with his single "We Up" featuring Kendrick Lamar.

"They've had issues with the record," 50 told MTV, while speaking on "We Up." "I know it ain't my ear. Kendrick said the same thing I said when I sent it to him. 'Oh, this is a hit,' And everybody around says the same thing."

The G-Unit CEO says that everyone has to be on the same page before he releases SKI.

"I don't really need the money off of the record. I want the record to be right. I'm not doing it without a plan; I'm not putting it out like that," he explained.

50 added that in the past he's had to do all of the heavy lifting on his projects.

"I've been on a team where I take the ball out and throw myself the alley-oop, and I take the ball out and shoot the three-pointer myself, and I take the ball out and I dunk the ball," he said. "But every time it's like 'come on we're on this team.' And you're all by yourself.'"

With accusations flying left and right, 50 Cent finds himself in the middle of a situation with Daphne Joy that has the police involved.

The G-Unit mogul is being accused by Joy of  breaking a television, furniture, chandeliers, a lamp and ransacking the bedroom inside her Toluca Lake, California apartment.

Joy also alleges that 50 kicked down the door of the bedroom she had locked herself in and kicked her.in the process.

According to authorities, this all went down on June 23, during an argument between the two. TMZ is reporting that Joy gave birth to a child by 50 last fall, although this wasn't reported by anyone in mainstream media or acknowledged publicly by either Joy or 50.

12350200497?profile=original

The media is describing Joy as an ex-girlfriend, but she and 50 never dated. The apartment where the incident allegedly took place is paid for by Fif, so are all of it's belongings.

The LAPD has charged 50 with 1 count of misdemeanor domestic violence and 4 counts of misdemeanor vandalism

The rapper responded to the news via Twitter.

12350201091?profile=original

It's worth noting that 50 has no history of domestic violence, although he's famously dated many women both before and after he achieved worldwide fame.

50 Cent's empire continues to expand. Variety reports that the Sundance Channel has picked up six hour long episodes of his and Jamie Oliver's reality show "Dream School."

Oliver originally created the format in the U.K.

The uplifting reality show centers on troubled teens who are inspired to turn their lives around as they are taught by leading professionals in different fields, be it musicians, politicians, filmmakers or scientists.

12350167284?profile=original

Jamie Oliver

The series of 'Dream School' we did in the U.K. was one of the things I’m most proud of. We literally changed the lives of many of the kids for the better," Oliver said. "Despite being told in school that they would never achieve anything, they were actually very gifted at art or acting and went on to achieve great things."

The program is being executive produced under Oliver's Fresh One Prods and 50's G-Unit Films and TVAndrew Jameson and Jonathan Grosskopf are also on board as executive producers.

12350167661?profile=original

The importance of ‘Dream School’ is monumental. Helping to inspire these students to reach their potential is personally gratifying,” 50 said.

Johnny Tapia was a five-time boxing world champion. The Albuquerque, New Mexico brawler overcame tremendous odds to achieve greatness.

Tapia's father was murdered before he was born. At eight years-old he found his mother, Virginia, chained to the back of a truck after she had been kidnapped, beaten, stabbed and raped. She died four days later.

12350163289?profile=original

As a boxer Tapia picked up the nickname "Mi Vida Loca," Spanish for "My Crazy Life." Win, lose or draw, Tapia's fights were always action packed. He never backed down from an opponent and fought as if his life depended on it.

Despite battling drug addiction at times throughout his life, Tapia won titles in four weight divisions. He was WBO Super Flyweight Champion (1994), IBF Super Flyweight Champion (1997), WBA Bantamweight Champion (1998), WBO Bantamweight Champion (2000) and IBF Featherweight Champion (2002).

12350164475?profile=original

His career record stands at 59 wins (30 KO's), 5 losses and 2 draws. He passed away on May 27, 2012 at the age of 45.

Johnny's life story has been been made into a documentary titled TAPIA50 Cent’s G-Unit Film and Television and Lou Dibella's BK Blu Productions have acquired the rights to the film. It will premiere on Saturday, June 15 at the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE with an additional screening on Wednesday June 19, according to Pro Boxing.

TAPIA chronicles the personal and professional life of the boxer, beginning with his poor childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The film explores the glory of his punishing ring prowess and five world titles in three weight classes, forever mired by personal demons: his mother's brutal kidnapping and murder when he was 8 years old, and his drug addiction, mental illness and near death experiences. Using first person narration from Tapia himself, archival footage, and personal photos, director Eddie Alcazar paints an intimate picture of the fighter and the man.

TAPIA follows the champ’s winding road through victories, downfalls and redemption. Director Alcazar spent many hours with Tapia filming the biopic, just weeks before the fighter’s tragic death at age 45. Tapia’s last interviews now serve as the heartbeat of Alcazar's revealing documentary. In it, the soft-spoken champ opens up about his ‘vida loca’ and the unending pain of his mother’s murder, which led to glory in the ring and struggle throughout his life.

12350164880?profile=original

I was drawn to the intensity of this project," 50 says. "His story resonated with me because like Tapia, I too lost my mother to violence and grew up with limited means. It’s a heartfelt story and it was important for me to get involved with bringing this to a broader audience.”

Dibella echoed 50's sentiments.

12350164899?profile=original

“I’m thrilled to join 50 in acquiring this riveting documentary. This is not a boxing film, but a film about tragedy, triumph, demons and redemption,” said Dibella. “Johnny gives us an honest assessment of his strengths and frailties; he reminds us of the power and resiliency of the human spirit.”

STARZ Network has given the green light to start production on Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Courtney Kemp Agboh's new drama, Power.

Agboh developed the script and will serve as the showrunner. She has previously written for The Bernie Mac Show, Happy Town, Eli Stone and The Good Wife.

"Power" tells the story of James "Ghost" St. Patrick, a wealthy New York City nightclub owner who caters to the city's elite.  He wants to build an empire, turn the club into a Fortune 500 business, but there's just one problem: Ghost is living a double life.  When he is not in the club, he is the kingpin of the most lucrative drug network in New York for a very high-level clientele. His marriage, family and business all become unknowingly threatened as he is tempted to leave his criminal life behind and become the rags-to-riches businessman he wants to be most of all.

STARZ has picked up eight hour-long episodes of the the show. Filming is set to begin later this year.

"We are thrilled to add 'Power' to our growing original programming lineup for 2014," STARZ Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht said in a press release. "Curtis has a unique and specific vision for the series, lending it an authenticity and voice rarely seen. Courtney has created a rich world and characters not often explored in contemporary drama.  There is a rawness and soul to the character of Ghost as he struggles to live between these two worlds that we believe will leave an indelible mark on the audience and stay with them after the credits roll."

"STARZ has given our team an opportunity to explore a world of beauty, luxury, danger and death, all against the struggle of one man to define his nature and his soul," says Courtney Kemp Agboh. "While the power and peril of Ghost's world are specific, we hope to address the truly universal questions we all face when we look in the mirror: who am I? Where am I going? Who do I want to become?"

50 and Agboh hold executive producer credits. Mark Canton and Randall Emmett are also on board, and will be producing in association with CBS TV Studios.

"This is a passion project for me and I couldn't be more thrilled to have found a home with STARZ.  I look forward to working with this incredibly talented team on making 'Power' a hit show," says 50.

Pics After The Jump

Written by Zack O. Greenburg @zogblog for Forbes

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s love affair with automobiles got off to an inauspicious start. His first car nearly got him killed, and not because he was driving too fast. In the summer of 1994, at the age of 19, Jackson plunked down $53,000 in cash made from peddling drugs on the streets of New York for a charcoal gray Toyota Land Cruiser. He tricked it out with a rooftop bike rack, new wheels and a sound system with a bass that thumped so hard it rattled the license plate against the back hatch.

A few months later, Jackson was driving his car through a rough neighborhood when a stranger pulled up next to him, flashed a menacing look and asked, “Yo, where Black at?” “Black” was the street name of a notorious–and violent–gangster. Jackson quickly put it all together: Black had a similar-looking car. Jackson shrugged at his questioner and, luckily for him, the man drove off into the night.

The next day, Jackson returned to the dealership. “Why the f**k did you sell [Black] the same color truck as me?” he demanded. “I almost got killed last night.”

He traded in the Land Cruiser for a white Mercedes-Benz 400 SEL with bulletproof windows and a 6.0 liter V-12 engine. But the second car turned out to be no better than the first. The Mercedes was conspicuous, an easy target for thieves. A pair of armed robbers ambushed him outside his grandmother’s house in Queens. Jackson barely escaped through a back alley and soon sold the vehicle.

Then came more car trouble, but this time only his ego was bruised. In the late 1990s, Jackson decided to leave the drug-dealing days behind to commit himself fully to his music, in part to please his grandmother, who’d raised him from age 8 after his mother was killed (an attempt on Jackson’s own life and the birth of his son provided the main impetus for his career change). The more virtuous life had its own problems: He was left with significantly less money. Which meant he was stuck driving a homely 1992 burgundy Dodge Caravan. “The a/c didn’t work,” he recalls glumly.

But his fortunes–and car collection–soon changed for the better. After linking up with Eminem and Dr. Dre, Jackson recorded the album that would make him a star, 2003′s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. It would go on to sell more than 8 million copies in the U.S. alone, becoming one of the most successful rap albums of all time. Buying and customizing uberluxury cars soon became the means by which he celebrated his musical triumphs.

With money from his first album, Jackson first rewarded his grandmother, leasing a Mercedes-Benz C240 for her. Next he bought himself a Rolls-Royce Phantom. He initially wanted to customize it, covering it entirely in chrome. Then he met with the president of Rolls-Royce, who showed him what a door slathered in the shiny substance looked like. “I didn’t realize how big the car was,” says Jackson, reclining on a sofa in his Midtown Manhattan office. “It would have looked like a silver bus. You know what I’m saying? So I changed my mind.”

Since then Jackson has released three more solo albums, pushing his worldwide sales total past 30 million; his next is due out later this year. He’s also created a business empire that includes his own clothing and shoe lines, videogames and films, headphones and energy shots, even his own flavor of VitaminWater. Jackson now has a net worth of $125 million. “You learn a lot about yourself when you have success for a while,” he says. “Like, a lot of things that you think are really important aren’t. But you need that process.”

One thing that has remained important to Jackson is the cars. He owns two bulletproof Chevrolet Suburbans that feature bombproof undercarriages. The $200,000 vehicles were built for the Iraq war. He bought a Lamborghini Murcielago to celebrate the launch of his second album. The $300,000 car was painted charcoal gray, just like his ill-fated Land Cruiser. Perhaps to erase the ghosts of his youth–and satisfy the urge he had with his Rolls–Jackson decked the Lamborghini out in an all-chrome finish.

Over the years, Jackson added a Ferrari convertible and a Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, along with a Bentley Mulsanne with beige leather seats (to match his coat, as he explains in one song). He recently painted his West Coast fleet a metallic blue and added matching ceramic brakes to his Lamborghini, being more interested in freshening up his existing rides than trading them for newer models–which, he says, “are starting to turn a little space-agey to me.” He’s no stranger to futuristic rides: Last year he designed a few concept cars of his own.

These days, Jackson isn’t worried about drug dealers and gangsters. It’s the taxman who merits concern.

“If you’re familiar with my man Uncle Sam, you understand the only way you can actually feel better about what he’s gonna take, come the end of the year, is lifestyle,” says Jackson. “Only thing you can do is spend some of it.”

Video After The Jump

50 Cent and Fat Joe couldn't have sat in the same room together two years ago without some kind of drama popping off. Today the two rap titans have buried their long running beef and let bygones be bygones.

MTV caught up with 50 at the Wednesday premiere of Will and Jaden Smith's new movie "After Earth." The G-Unit mogul admitted that his beef with the Terror Squad boss dragged on longer than it should have.

"Fat Joe, that was interesting. The competitive nature of hip-hop forces us to compete," 50 said. "It was one of those things that it went on longer than it was supposed to with that one."

Joe recently said that he doesn't ever expect to have conflict with 50 again. A collaboration between the two would be dope. Maybe we will see that happen one day.
