Some parents from a ritzy New York City private school are fuming mad after learning first graders were learning about masturbation and also told their parents and grandparents should not touch them without their consent.
A teacher at The Dalton School reportedly showed students a video from the cartoon series, "AMAZE." A little boy in the video asks about erections ... "Hey, how come sometimes my penis gets big sometimes and points in the air." The boy adds, "Sometimes I touch my penis because it feels good." Then a little girl chimes in ... "Sometimes when I'm in my bath or when mom puts me to bed, I like to touch my vulva too."
Some parents were bent out of shape over this, according to the New York Post, but the real anger was triggered over consent. The students reportedly are taught not to let their parents or grandparents touch them without asking for permission first.
A mother told the Post, "I'm paying $50,000 to these a-holes to tell my kid not to let her grandfather hug her when he sees her?" Another mother groused if she fought back she'd get canceled.
A School spokesperson said, "As part of Dalton’s comprehensive Health curriculum for students, a lesson on Gender & Bodies included two evidence-based and age-appropriate videos approved for students 4 years and older. These videos align with nationally recognized methodologies and standards. We consistently review our Health curriculum, making sure that the content is developmentally appropriate and, if necessary, we adapt our curriculum accordingly."

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Huntsville Police said a man has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting Saturday afternoon.
Police said Christopher Kwan Freeman, 22, turned himself in at HPD headquarters around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.
According to Captain Michael Johnson, the shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 200-block of Binford Drive.
TMZ reported the shooting occurred while rapper Lil Boosie was filming a music video.
Johnson confirmed a large gathering was occurring on Huntsville Housing Authority property and around 50-100 people were leaving the area when the first officers arrived, but neither HPD nor HHA were aware of the large gathering.
Johnson said Randall Strong, Jr., 20, was taken to Huntsville Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injures.
Freeman was booked into the Madison County Jail on a $75,000 bond.

SEATTLE — A Renton mom who adopted an orphan girl from Africa faces assault charges based on reports that the girl had been undergoing unnecessary medical procedures and visits.
Sophie Hartman told KING 5 in 2019 her child has alternating hemiplegia of childhood, or AHC, which is a rare neurological disorder.
A charging document from the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office alleges Hartman of "subjecting her 6-year-old child to medically unnecessary surgical interventions and restraints."
Hartman is charged with one count of second-degree assault against a child and one count of attempted domestic violence assault against a child in the second degree.
The charging records, filed May 24, said the girl had more than 474 medical appointments since 2016.
In July 2017, the girl underwent a surgical procedure to insert a gastrostomy tube to her digestive system, which provides nutrients if the patient cannot eat, according to the records. The girl also went through a procedure that fed nutrients directly into a vein, the charging record said.
The girl also had a surgical placement that stops the early onset of puberty, a procedure that requires anesthesia, according to the court records.
But in March, after the girl underwent a 16-day observation at Seattle Children's hospital, results showed the girl was able to drink fluids on her own without a feeding tube, use the bathroom voluntarily without a tube to flush out her intestines and run and walk without the need of a leg brace or a wheelchair.
"This is not based on one investigator," said King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office spokesperson Casey McNerthney. "It's not based off of a quick investigation. This was months of investigation by police and several experts who weighed in."
The allegations against Hartman are based on a report by the Safe Child and Adolescent Network, or SCAN, at Seattle Children's and an investigation by the Renton Police Department. The allegations also questioned the girl's AHC diagnosis.
According to the report determining probable cause by the prosecuting attorney's office, observation of the girl showed she had "genetic testing, which had not identified a variant in the gene associated with this disorder, and the diagnosis was therefore made on clinical grounds including the reports of symptoms made by the mother," Dr. Mark Wainwright of Seattle Children's Pediatric Neurology stated in a report for probable cause.
Adam Shapiro, Hartman's attorney, said the allegations against the mother are false.
"The doctor from Seattle Children's hospital who's largely behind the charges for this case is not an expert on this disease," Shapiro said. "She probably has little to no experience in this disease."
Shapiro said a physician from Duke University had been evaluating the girl for years.
"Contrary to the allegations of the King County Prosecuting Attorney, the child’s diagnosis was made by more than one doctor, is legitimate, and is based on a substantial record beyond the reports and information provided by Ms. Hartman. That record includes independent medical examinations by multiple doctors, direct observation of the child by doctors and nurses at Duke and at Seattle Children’s Hospital, standardized testing results, video tapes of the child’s symptoms, MRI, EEG and other diagnostic tests. The King County Prosecuting Attorney has the medical records from Duke as well as records from Seattle Children’s Hospital amply supporting the diagnosis and the consistent reports of Ms. Hartman," a statement from Shapiro reads, in part.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Former Opa-Locka Sergeant German Bosque has been fired seven times in his career. On Friday, Bosque turned himself in & is now in jail without bond.
At a recent appeal to get his job back Bosque, 49, told CBS4, “I love serving the community. I love what I do for a living and I’m very proud.”
Bosque can now add kidnapping, battery & tampering with evidence charges to the list of allegations already-held against him.
The career police man is now under arrest for an incident that occurred in 2012 in Opa-Locka.
Florida Department of Law Enforcement officers made the arrest Friday when Bosque turned himself in at FDLE Miami Regional Operations Center. He was then booked into the Miami-Dade Main Jail.
Special Agent in Charge Addy Villanueva explained, “He allegedly punched the victim when he responded to the domestic call. And when the victim tried to go to the police station & file a complaint, Bosque responded and forcefully removed him from the lobby, handcuffed him and placed him in a holding cell.”
FDLE said they took the case in February.
On Friday, a judge agreed they had enough evidence to arrest Bosque for acting out of line, including locking up the victim for 14 minutes.
“Whether it’s 14-minutes or 14-hours, if you are held against your will, it’s a long time,” Villanueva said.
Opa-Locka’s City Manager David Chiverton didn’t seem to be surprised by the news.
“We will just let the law take its course,” said Chiverton.
Chiverton thought he got rid of Bosque in October when the city fired him for the long list of allegations held against him which include:
*Busting a handcuffed suspects skull
*Beating juveniles
*Caught with dope and booze in his squad car
*Ripping off suspects
*Falsifying reports
*Participating in an unauthorized chase where four people were killed
*Calling in sick from Cancun.
Bosque, though, continues to appeal and up until now he has won.
Chiverton is hopeful that this will end as the city is trying to clean up its image.
“We want to ensure our community that we are working in the best interest, image, and respect of the community is always the highest priority. We are committed to that,” said Chiverton.

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia (AP) — The remains of 215 children, some as young as 3 years old, have been found buried on the site of what was once Canada’s largest Indigenous residential school — one of the institutions that held children taken from families across the nation.
Chief Rosanne Casimir of the Tk’emlups te Secwépemc First Nation said in a news release that the remains were confirmed last weekend with the help of ground-penetrating radar.
More bodies may be found because there are more areas to search on the school grounds.
In an earlier release, she called the discovery an “unthinkable loss that was spoken about but never documented at the Kamloops Indian Residential School.”
From the 19th century until the 1970s, more than 150,000 First Nations children were required to attend state-funded Christian schools as part of a program to assimilate them into Canadian society. They were forced to convert to Christianity & not allowed to speak their native languages. Many were beaten & verbally abused, & up to 6,000 are said to have died.
The Canadian government apologized in Parliament in 2008 & admitted that physical & sexual abuse in the schools was rampant. Many students recall being beaten for speaking their native languages; they also lost touch with their parents and customs.
Indigenous leaders have cited that legacy of abuse & isolation as the root cause of epidemic rates of alcoholism & drug addiction on reservations.
A report more than five years ago by a Truth and Reconciliation Commission said at least 3,200 children had died amid abuse and neglect, and it said it had reports of at least 51 deaths at the Kamloops school alone between 1915 and 1963.
“This really resurfaces the issue of residential schools and the wounds from this legacy of genocide towards Indigenous people,” Terry Teegee, Assembly of First Nations regional chief for British Colombia, said Friday.
British Columbia Premier John Horgan said he was “horrified and heartbroken” to learn of the discovery, calling it a tragedy of “unimaginable proportions” that highlights the violence and consequences of the residential school system.
The Kamloops school operated between 1890 and 1969, when the federal government took over operations from the Catholic Church and operated it as a day school until it closed in 1978.
Casimir said it’s believed the deaths are undocumented, although a local museum archivist is working with the Royal British Columbia Museum to see if any records of the deaths can be found.
“Given the size of the school, with up to 500 students registered and attending at any one time, we understand that this confirmed loss affects First Nations communities across British Columbia and beyond,” Casimir said in the initial release issued late Thursday.
The leadership of the Tk’emlups community “acknowledges their responsibility to caretake for these lost children,” Casimir said.
Access to the latest technology allows for a true accounting of the missing children and will hopefully bring some peace and closure to those lives lost, she said in the release.
Casimir said band officials are informing community members and surrounding communities that had children who attended the school.
The First Nations Health Authority called the discovery of the remains “extremely painful” and said in a website posting that it “will have a significant impact on the Tk’emlúps community and in the communities served by this residential school.”
The authority’s CEO, Richard Jock, said the discovery “illustrates the damaging and lasting impacts that the residential school system continues to have on First Nations people, their families and communities,.”
Nicole Schabus, a law professor at Thompson Rivers University, said each of her first-year law students at the Kamloops university spends at least one day at the former residential school speaking with survivors about conditions they had endured.
She said she did not hear survivors talk about an unmarked grave area, “but they all talk about the kids who didn’t make it.”

The youngest American member of the high IQ society Mensa is a 2-year-old whiz kid with a genius-level score of 146.
Kashe Quest, of Los Angeles, Calif, began learning to read at 1.5 years old, speaks Spanish and can identify all 50 states on a map, her mom, Sukhjit Athwal, told KTTV.
“We started to notice her memory was really great. She just picked up things really fast & she was really interested in learning. At about 17, 18 months, she had recognized all the alphabet, numbers, colors & shapes,” said Athwal, who has a background in education.
The pint-sized prodigy can also count to 100, knows sign language and can identify elements on the periodic table by their symbols, she said.
Quest showcased her skills by correctly identifying the compound Phosphorus & the state Mississippi on flash cards, according to footage that aired on Good Day LA.
To qualify for Mensa, a person must score at least 132 on the Stanford–Binetare IQ test, which is considered in the top 2 percent of the general population, according to the group’s website. By contrast, the average American has an IQ of 100.
But Athwal said she wants to make sure her daughter “has a childhood” & that she doesn’t “force anything on her.”
“We’re kind of going at her pace & we want to just make sure that she is youthful for as long as she can be,” she said.
