A once Ivy League bound Fort Myers, Florida teen is now headed to jail instead.

Rachel Anne Hachero, 17 was so intent on getting a a new car, a 2004 black Nissan 305Z, police say she hit her mom in the head with a 9 mm Sig Sauer handgun. Hachero then forced her mom to drive to the dealership, where she signed for the vehicle.

The mother in the incident has not been named due to the nature of the event. She didn't come forward to the police until the next day, because her daughter had threatened to kill her.

The assault would seem to go against Hachero's nature. The high school senior was an honor roll student who had been accepted to several Ive League schools already.

After reporting the event, the mom didn't want to press charges fearing it would ruin her daughter's college chances. Police took her into custody anyway after finding the gun she had used and discovering it was stolen.

No need to tell Nick Cannon about how some in the hip hop community view him. He's decided to take the "Nick Cannon is wack" sentiment and flip it to his advantage.

"I'm So Wack" pokes fun at all the negative things people say about Cannon, and his comebacks for them.

The song is the lead track off Cannon's first mixtape "Child Of The Corn."

As if Shyne's comeback wasn't bombing badly enough already.

The rapper's recent attempt at a concert in his native Belize went so badly he immediately got on a plane back his adopted homeland of Israel the next morning.

Fans were expecting international superstars like Jay-Z and Wyclef Jean, Saturday (March 26), but when the crowd found out only Shyne and several local artists would be involved they started demanding their $50.00 back.

Before the show Shyne had promised top notch talent. "At the end of the day, only God can guarantee anything, but we're looking forward to having an extraordinary night with extraordinary guests."

That talent never showed up, leaving Shyne and the promotor, DJ Richie blaming each other.

"My responsibilities were done," DJ Richie said via BoomBox "I got everything together. I'm not pointing fingers and blaming Shyne, but it's just that his part never came through."

Lil Wayne wastes no time in getting his newest signee up and out of the gate with a new video.

Less than two weeks after signing rocker Porcelain Black, Wayne collabs with her on the first single "This Is What Rock N Roll Looks Like."

No word yet on an album date.

50 Cent and Robert Deniro are set to star in a new film together.

'Freelancers' features 50 as the son of a slain cop, following in his footsteps by joining the force, only to be teamed with Robert Deniro's rogue crew ot officers.

Then film is slated to start shooting April 12 in New Orleans.

This will mark the 2nd time 50 has worked with Deniro. They also worked together in 2008's 'Righteous Kill' which also starred Al Pacino.

Fif's Cheetah Vision Films is set to produce the Jessy Terrero directed movie along with Fred Malmberg and Daniel Wagner.

Freeway has endured rap battles, beefs and label changes. Today he's still battling against America's growing negative view of Muslims in today's climate

When he recently sat down with CNN, Philly Freezer gives us a glimpse inside his spiritual world.

"My faith means everything to me. It's the thing that keeps me going everyday. It's my core it's my soul," Freeway says.

The rapper especially finds it tough to deal with the anti-muslin sentiment seen on tv daily.

"It definitely hurts my feelings when I hear Islam getting put into a negative light," he says. "You can't judge a whole group of people for a few people making mistakes."

Freezer is currently working on an ep with producer Statik Selektah, "Statik-Free EP" that is due this year.

Snoop Dogg is going to forever have Nate Dogg by his side.

The Long Beach rapper got a tattoo of his fallen homie on his left arm. Mr Cartoons did the work that covers most of Snoop's lower arm. It features a picture of Nate with the quote "All Dogs Go To Heaven" inked underneath.

Nate died (March 15) from complications of multiple strokes, the singer was laid to rest today (March 22)

Nate's good friend, Warren G spoke about Nate at the funeral.

"It hurts me so much to see this," he said. "We been through a whole lot and that was my dog. He stayed down with me from the bottom to the top. I didn't ever think I would have to sit at a funeral for one of my dogs. All I can say is that was my friend, me him and Snoop was 213 from the balls to the walls. The music industry lost an incredible artist."

His manager Rod McGrew told MTV that Nate wanted to hang with 2Pac, Notorious B.I.G and Michael Jackson.

"He wanted to go to heaven and hang with his boys," McGrew said. "He loved Tupac. He recorded with him. He wanted to hang with Biggie. But the most important thing is that he can walk around heaven with his favorite artist of all time, Michael Jackson."

Botox injections, body waxes to insure a child won't ever grow pubic hair?

This is all normal in the life of 34-year old Kerry Campbell and her 8-year old daughter Britney.

Kerry told the Sun this is all preparation to insure her daughter becomes a star

"What I am doing for Britney now will help her become a star. I know one day she will be a model, actress or singer, and having these treatments now will ensure she stays looking younger and baby-faced for longer," Kerry insists.

Apparently this is becoming common place in the world of child beauty pageants in America.

"I'm sure people reading this will think I am being irresponsible, but I ensure that I test the Botox and fillers I buy online on myself first," the San Francisco mom says "All I want is for Britney to have the best start in life, so it is easier for her to become a superstar. More mothers should do it for their daughters,"

Not surprisingly, at a time when she should be hanging out with friends her age, Britney is instead talking about breast implants.

"My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections," Britney says "They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much. I also want a boob and nose job soon, so that I can be a star."

For some parents behavior like this is normal, but i'd be willing to most think this woman is taking it too far.

This is kind of a new spin on the normal drunken, restaurant brawls we see. People are hopping on counters acting an ass in bikinis now.

It's unclear what sparked the drama, but it is clear the woman in the bikini had some kind of issue with one of the employees. Leading to some punching,pushing, napkin throwing and general mayhem.

This all went down in Panama City Beach, Florida when Kimesia Smith of Montgomery, Ala., lost her cool, which resulted in her landing in jail on charges on simple battery.

Thousands are expected to turned out for G-Funk legend, Nate Dogg's funeral. Most will be turned away because of a 1000 ticket limit being imposed by the police to prevent overcrowding.

All of the closest artists Nate worked with in his career, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Warren G are expected to attend.

Nate, 41 will be remembered as the king of hooks, not because he did a lot of them. The man is the king because he was the best at it. Ask Eminem, 50 Cent, Xzibit, Jadakiss and many others why they picked Nate to make their joints a little bit better.
