Veteran emcee N.O.R.E. recently changed his name to P.A.P.I. He called into Shade 45 to chop it up with Money Nels, Jenny Boom Boom and J. Medina about why he chose the new moniker.

The CNN rapper explained that he's had the nickname for a long time dating back to his days dealing drugs on the block. In an upcoming movie that he's writing and producing titled Superthug, his name is Papi, so he decided the timing was right to also use that as his rap name.

P.A.P.I. also clears the air for people who think he stole the name from Bodega Bamz and says Drake shouldn't be referring to himself as Champagne Papi.

50 Cent appeared on NBC's Today Show to talk with Savannah Guthrie about his new fitness book Formula 50.

Fif talks about how rehabbing from getting shot in 2000 led to him wanting to become a healthier person. He explains that Formula 50 has two programs for beginners as well as advanced workout warriors. It's a six-week program that incorporates working out with instructions on how to maintain a healthy diet.

TMZ caught up with Aries while he was signing autographs on the streets of NYC yesterday and asked him about the current state of hip hop. Aries took the opportunity to talk about how much he hates Tity Boi.

50 Cent's new single "My Life" is making a big impact in Europe. The song, which features Eminem and Adam Levine is set to become the G-Unit mogul's first ever No. 1 single in the UK, according to Official Charts.

"My Life" will knock Will.I.Am's "Scream and Shout" out of the top spot on the Official Singles Chart this Sunday. The song is the lead single off of 50's upcoming album Street King Immortal, which will be released on February 26.

Lebron James crushed the Cleveland Cavaliers fan's hearts in 2010 when he made the decision to leave the team that drafted him out of high school in 2003 to make a run for a championship by joining Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade in Miami.

As crazy as it might seem, the Cavs appear ready to try and bring Lebron back in the summer of 2014 when he becomes a free agent.

The Akron Beacon Journal's Jason Lloyd reported that the Cavs are saving cap room space to make the eight-time NBA All-Star a max contract offer.

Executives and agents around the league are convinced the Cavaliers won’t do anything to jeopardize their ability to sign a free agent to a max contract during the summer of 2014, when LeBron James can again become a free agent. As fans in Northeast Ohio continue to howl and remain divided about the possibility of his return, more and more people around the league believe there is a strong possibility James will indeed return to Cleveland after next season.

Lebron, an Ohio native who still lives there in the off season has said a return to Cleveland is not out of the question.

"I think it would be great," James said before a game against the Cavs last season. "It would be fun to play in front of these fans again. I had a lot fun times in my seven years here. You can't predict the future, and hopefully I continue to stay healthy. I'm here as a Miami Heat player, and I'm happy where I am now, but I don't rule that out in no sense."

Chris Broussard of ESPN points out that 30-year old Dwayne Wade appears to be losing a step and Lebron might look at Cleveland as a nice alternative to the Heat. Wade's scoring and assists are down this year from their career averages.

Cleveland has a nice nucleus of young players like Kyrie Irving, Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters.

Kidd Kidd recently dropped his hot single "New Warleans" featuring Juvenile. The G-Unit/Rida Gang rapper recently sat down with Bernadette Giacomazzo of Hip Hop Stardom 101 to talk about why he gave his hometown that name.

"The city is actually New Orleans but I named it 'New Warleans' because it's a constant war going on down there," Kidd Kidd said. "Whether it's beef, police brutality or whether we're at war with ourselves. It's just all out war down there."

Kidd Kidd also discusses his position within the G-Unit camp and says the roster is a close-knit group..

"I wanna address the G-Unit fans too. Because when Fif started messing with me and we started putting out music together. A lot of fans [were] seeing that Banks wasn't around a lot. So a lot of people felt as though I got wit Fif to try to replace Banks or something like that. It's nothing like that," he explained. "I do my own thing, it's Rida Gang over here. It's G-Unit/Rida Gang. Much love to Banks. There's no kind of problems or beef between 50 and Banks. The media is always gonna make it what they wanna make it. But it's no kind of problems. It's blood, this is family around here."
