June 18th is going to be a good day for hip hop fans. Mac Miller, J. Cole and Kanye West are all dropping new projects on that date.

Kanye West linked up with legendary producer Rick Rubin and recorded a video of him laying down vocals for his new song "I Am a God." The 31-second clip was posted on KanyeWest.com yesterday.
"I just talked to Jesus/He said, 'What up, Yeezus?'/I said, 'Sh*t, I'm chillin'/Tryin' to stack these millions/I know he's the most high/But I am a close high/Mi casa su casa/That's our costra nostra/I am a God," West raps.
Kanye's Yeezus album will be released on June 18th.

T.I., Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz are front and center on the new issue of XXL. The trio managed to get individual covers as well as a group cover of the issue which hits newsstands on June 18th.
All three will be hitting the road together on the upcoming America's Most Wanted Tour, along with Hit-Boy and G-Eazy.
The tour kicks off July 9th in Birmingham, Alabama. Along the way there will be stops in Atlanta, Houston, Charlotte, Boston, Chicago, Oakland and Las Vegas before the trek ends on September 1 in Irvine.

2 Chainz denied being robbed in San Francisco a few days ago, but surveillance footage seems to tell a different story.
TMZ obtained video that shows the rapper and members of his crew walking down a street when they are approached by 2 gunmen. Tity Boi and his entourage take off running in the opposite direction until the rapper loses his balance and falls down.
One of the gunmen then stands over 2 Chainz and robs him of his wallet and cell phone.according to police.
Authorities are still looking for the thieves.

Freddie "Gangsta" Gibbs still has a lot to get off of his chest regarding his time on Young Jeezy's CTE label. During a recent sit down with MTV, Gibbs said he could write a book about all of the things that he saw during his two years on the imprint that made him exit stage left.
He also said that since his XXL interview on June 10th, he's been receiving death threats via Twitter.
"Yeah, death threats," he said. "Hey man, I know it hurts you to hear your favorite rapper's a fraud. It ain't my fault."

A Canadian model has made a new claim that she slept with Kanye West while his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was pregnant.
24-year old Leyla Ghobadi told Star magazine that the affair started on July 6th at a Kanye West concert in Atlantic City when he had his security team pick her out of the audience to meet him for drinks after the show.
According to the Daily Mail, they had drinks at HQ Nightclub. Yeezy asked the model if she wanted to head back to his hotel room, but she denied.
"I refused, as I felt it was too rushed," she told the publication.
Kanye gave Leyla and her friends backstage passes for his concert the next night. After the show Kanye reportedly told Leyla that his relationship with Kim was “just for publicity” and to “increase his fan base." The two later headed back to his hotel for a night of sex.
The affair continued until after Kim was pregnant. Leyla claims the rapper contacted her last weekend to see if she wanted to hook up, but she declined because of Kim's pregnancy.
Leyla says she's coming forward now because it's the right thing to do.
"This is going to destroy the Kardashian family. It’s bad. It’s really bad. It’s just embarrassing. But if I were Kim and about to have a baby, I would want to know," she said
**UPDATE**
A rep for Kanye West is shooting down Leyla Ghobadi's claims of an affair with the rapper. In a statement issued to TMZ, the rep says Leyla is looking to make a come up off of Kanye's name. Read below.
This most recent attack on Kanye West and his family is totally without merit. It's a blatant attempt by a misguided individual who is clearly seeking publicity, and another in a series of malicious stories drummed up by non-credible 'news' sources. This is a sad attempt to hurt two people trying to live their lives.

Currently artists like Mac Miller, Macklemore and Robin Thicke are enjoying a rise in popularity and radio airplay. And of course Justin Timberlake is doing his thing, but does that mean black artists have lost the ability to make chart topping soul and rap music?
Today on the latest episode of "The Realness," Peter Rosenberg and Ebro argued that black artists have been moved out of their spot.
"Most black artists wouldn't even make these kind of soulful records because they're so busy trying to make it on white radio," Ebro said. "We're afraid to make our music. So we make jigaboo tunes and goon tunes and strip club anthems."

2 Chainz was just arrested after being caught for weed at Los Angeles International Airport. The rapper was trying to catch a plane in terminal five when he got popped.
He was arrested and is currently being booked for possession of marijuana according to TMZ.
**UPDATE** June 12th
TMZ reports that 2 Chainz was also caught with Promethazine, one of the two main ingredients in syrup.
The rapper was on board a plane ready to take off when TSA officials found the drugs in his luggage. He was taken off of the airplane and placed under arrest. Less than an ounce of weed was also found.
In the past Tity Boi has not shied away from talking about his syrup drinking habit. He was booked on felony narcotics possession.
