Some you win, some you lose.

It takes a lot of heart to step into the cage to fight in a Mixed Martial Arts competition. If you're not on your "A" game you might end up looking up at the ceiling lights wondering wtf just happened.

Darla Harris recently fought Jinh Yu Frey at the Sugar Creek Showdown in Oklahoma. 24 seconds into the fight Jinh Yu brutally knocks Harris out with a kick to the head followed by a series of punches.

Raz was initially mistook by police as one of the combatants and was taken to jail along with the guy who injured him. The cops eventually sorted everything out. The man who attacked Raz was forced to cough up $5,000 to pay for his medical bills.

The singer was taken to the hospital where doctors performed a procedure to close the hole in his lip. The injury required 4 stitches.

"F*ck this sh*t hurts. I have a f*cking hole in my lip. Thank God I made it to the hospital," Raz told TMZ.

**UPDATE**

TMZ is reporting that Raz B has been hospitalized and the situation is dire.

"He is in a coma and needs as many prayers as possible," his publicist Toy Jones told TMZ

The 28-year old singer was reportedly fine after being hit in the face with a bottle while trying to break up a fight at a club in China. He was treated at a hospital and later released. However, the following morning he didn't wake up. He was rushed to the hospital by one of his backup dancers.

Doctors have tested Raz's brain activity and determined that his situation is critical. He is reportedly breathing with the help of a ventilator and slipping in and out on consciousness.

Video After The Jump

Brooklyn, New York emcee Maino recently stopped by Shade 45's Streetsweeper Radio to chop it up with DJ Kay Slay about Kendrick Lamar and the state of Hip Hop in New York City.

"It's kind of good that it happened because here we did a lot of d*ck sucking and c*ck licking for a long time," Maino said in reference to Kendrick's "King of New York" line. "We lost our culture. It's no such thing as a New York sound no more. Here's a dude from Cali. He had the number one album in the country at one point. He comes here, he sells out Roseland Ballroom. He gets more spins on New York radio than New York artists. If I was doing that in L.A. I'd be the King of L.A. too. From a competitive rap standpoint I see where he was able to say that. If we had our sh*t together as a city then n*ggas wouldn't be able to say anything like that."

12350311069?profile=original

Maino added that there were more rappers from outside the city that could also claim the throne.

"It's a couple of other Kings of New York," he continued. "Khaled, Ross, Wayne, Drake. They the Kings of New York too. When I open my window. When I'm in the streets, when I'm in these clubs, when I'm listening to the radio this is the music that I predominately here. 85 percent of the music I hear is not from here."

What do you think of Maino's comments?

Hot 97's Peter Rosenberg was critical of Papoose's diss of Kendrick Lamar on the radio this morning. Pap called in to defend himself. The conversation turned into a huge argument when Pap took offense at Rosenberg calling Kendrick the best in the game.

Pap told Rosenberg that he and Miss Info were biased against him. He also called out Peter for constantly praising K. Dot and for not defending New York because he's from Washington, D.C.

Video After The Jump

Chris Brown's lawyer is most likely already compensated very well financially by his star client, but Breezy is thinking about throwing in something extra.

Attorney Mark Geragos worked his magic and got Chris' hit-and-run cases dismissed yesterday. Brown and the victim Olga Gure-Kovalenko worked out a civil compromise much to the chagrin of the L.A. City Attorney, who wanted the singer's probation revoked, which could have resulted in jail time.

12350299882?profile=original

Olga didn't want Chris prosecuted because the June accident was a minor fender bender that caused little to no damage to her vehicle.

The judge in the case sided with Chris and Geragos by dismissing the case ending the legal drama.

"The case never should have been filed in the first place.  It's unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he's done," Geragos told TMZ.

TMZ caught up with Chris last night in Hollywood. He said he was happy to have the case behind him and was considering buying Geragos a Lamborghini. Watch the footage below.

Poll After The Jump

Kendrick Lamar has done something incredible with his verse on "Control." He's lit a spark that Hip Hop has been missing. There has probably never been this much buzz over a rapper's lyrics ever. The song is not Big Sean's anymore, it belongs to Kendrick.

Whether or not you agree with everything he said, the facts are still the facts.

There have been a number of responses to the song by some really great lyricists. I think it's time we take a poll to decide who has recorded the best comeback.
