Video After The Jump

A news anchor for Los Angeles tv station KTLA got clowned live on air after he made the mistake of confusing Samuel L. Jackson with fellow actor Laurence Fishburne.

The anchor was interviewing Jackson when he asked if he had gotten a lot of reaction to his Super Bowl commercial.

Jackson didn't do a commercial for the Super Bowl, but Laurence Fishburne did. Jackson reacted by going in on the anchor.

"What Super Bowl commercial? See, you're as crazy as the people on Twitter," Jackson said. "I'm not Laurence Fishburne! We don't all look alike. We may be black and famous, but we don't all look alike. You're the entertainment reporter for this station and you don't know the difference and you don't know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne? There must be a very short line for your job."

Watch Jackson going off below.

Video After The Jump

University of Missouri player Michael Sam is by all accounts a good football player. As an All-American defensive end he was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year this season. Sam is also gay.

The 23-year old came out publicly on Sunday (February 9). He made the announcement in interviews with ESPN and the New York Times.

"I am an openly, proud gay man. I understand how big this is. It's a big deal. No one has done this before. And it's kind of a nervous process, but I know what I want to be. I want to be a football player in the NFL."

12350615252?profile=original

Sam revealed his sexual orientation to his Missouri teammates last August. He recorded 1.5 sacks and the team went on to have a 12-2 season and won the SEC championship team.

"I looked in [the team's] eyes, and they just started shaking their heads -- like, finally, he came out."

Some NFL teams might be hesitant to draft Sam, according to an anonymous source who talked to Sports Illustrated.

"I don't think football is ready for [an openly gay player] just yet. In the coming decade or two, it's going to be acceptable, but at this point in time it's still a man's-man game. To call somebody a [gay slur] is still so commonplace. It'd chemically imbalance an NFL locker room and meeting room."

Sam knows there will be doubts, he just wants the opportunity.

"There will be negativity, negative reactions I just want to go to the team who drafts me, because that team knows about me, knows that I'm gay, and also knows that I work hard. That's the team I want to go to."

Sam is projected as a 3rd-5th round NFL draft pick.

Celebrity fight promoter Damon Feldman has had a change of heart and decided to cancel the boxing match between George Zimmerman and DMX..

Feldman told CNN that in the end the money wasn't a good reason to go through with a bout that a lot of people objected to.

"I looked at it in a different perspective. It was hurting too many people. That's not the direction I wanted to go. I don't care how much money I could have made."

Michael Jackson's estate is in big trouble with the Internal Revenue Service. When Jackson passed away in 2009, he was estimated to be worth $7 million. Since that time his net worth has ballooned to $1.125 billion.

The IRS alleges that MJ's estate have filed outrageously inaccurate tax returns. The agency claims it is owed $505 million in taxes. In addition, a 40% gross valuation misstatement penalty has been added to bring the total amount owed to over $702 million.

12350612899?profile=original

Estate tax expert, Andrew Katzenstein, of the law firm Proskauer Rose in Los Angeles, told the L.A. Times he's never seen the penalty assessed before.

"I've never even heard of the gross valuation misstatement penalty being asserted,"

The L.A. Times article noted several discrepancies between the value put on several items by the estate and the amount the IRS estimated them to be worth.

1. The IRS estimates Jackson's likeness to be worth more than $434 million. The estate listed it at $2,105.

2. The estate listed the value of Jackson's interest in the trust that owns the pop star's songs and part of The Beatles' catalogue at zero. The IRS estimates it's worth $469 million.

3. Another trust said to be worth just $2.2 million by the estate is actually worth $60.6 million, according to the IRS.

If the full amount said to be owed has to be paid Jackson's children, Blanket, Prince Michael and Paris will be dealt a significant financial blow.

Expect the estate to vigorously fight the judgement.
