While in New York starring on Broadway in Of Mice and Men, James Franco met a 17-year old female tourist from Scotland named Lucy Clode, who was seeking an autograph. The 35-year old actor struck up a conversation with her which led to the two later chatting on Instagram.
After being asked her age, if she had a boyfriend and if she wanted to meet up at a hotel, Lucy became suspicious that she might be getting catfished and asked Franco to provide her with a photo of himself with her name written on a piece of paper.
The actor obliged, then Lucy turned around and leaked the photo and private texts between the two online.
Franco didn't do anything illegal because the legal age of consent in New York is 17 and 16 in Scotland. It's just an embarrassing situation for the Hollywood star.
Franco responded on Twitter by writing: "I'M NOT! I HOPE PARENTS KEEP THEIR TEENS AWAY FROM ME. Thank you."
Is that a denial or a warning to parents? We're not sure. What do you think about the situation?
James Franco appeared on Live with Kelly and Michael this morning and wanted to clear the air about the topic everyone is talking about.
To his credit he didn't try to deny that it happened. He owned up to it and admitted he made a mistake.
"I'm embarrassed and I guess I'm just a model of how social media is tricky," Franco said. "It's a way people meet each other today. But what I've learned... I guess because I'm new to it, you don't know who's on the other end. You meet somebody in person and you get a feel for them. But you don't know who you're talking to. I used bad judgement and I learned my lesson. Unfortunately in my position I have a very good life," he continued. "Not only do I have to go through the kind of embarrassing rituals of meeting someone. Sometimes if I do that, then it gets published for the world. So, now it's doubly embarrassing."

Jennifer Lopez outbid former boyfriend Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs for Fuse TV.
Bloomberg reports that NuvoTV, backed by J-Lo, acquired Fuse from Madison Square Garden Co. for $226 million in cash and a 15% equity stake in Fuse and NuvoTV.
With the Fuse TV acquisition, NuvoTV, an English based station marketed to Latinos, puts itself in a prime position to increase it's market share and gain more viewers.
The deal “enhances our distribution relationships, dramatically expands our aggregate subscriber base, provides substantial economies of scale, affords unique opportunities for programming and cross-promotion and should be extremely appealing to the advertising community,” Michael Schwimmer, chief executive officer of NuvoTV, said in today’s statement.
Lopez and Combs were romantically linked in the late 90's. Jennifer distanced herself from the music mogul after a high profile incident on December 27, 1999, when former Bad Bad Records artist Shyne shot up a Manhattan club.

However, fighting is in Gina's blood. During her appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show, she said a return to the Octagon is a strong possibility. Next week Carano will be meeting with UFC president Dana White to talk business.

Chris Brown is on a flight to Washington, D.C., where his attorney, Mark Geregos, will attempt to persuade a judge to dismiss the assault charges against his client because he believes prosecutors inappropriately used the grand jury to gain an unfair advantage in the criminal case.

The flight will make numerous stops along the way to pick up other prisoners. It's not expected to arrive in D.C. until Sunday, April 6.
