Despite calls for non violence and calm by Michael Brown's mother and Al Sharpton, clashes between protesters and police continued in Ferguson, Missouri.
On Tuesday, August 12, 5 people were shot and 12 arrested. A fourth day of unrest unfolded on Wednesday as another 10 people, including St. Louis Alderman Antonio French, were taken into custody. 1 officer suffered a broken ankle.
Police are still searching for the person that shot a young woman in the head on Tuesday. She's expected to make a full recovery.
News 4 reports that police used tear gas canisters to disperse crowds on Wednesday after molotov cocktails and rocks were thrown at them. Police also brought in armored vehicles.
"It's sad because this is not the intent of any of this here," said a protester.
Two reporters, Ryan Reilly of The Huffington Post and Wesley Lowery of The Washington Post were arrested while working on their laptops at a McDonalds by SWAT officers for "not packing their bags quick enough."

I'm emotional, but need to note: Ryan and I are fine. Have seen people in Ferguson hurt by gas/rubber bullets. This wasn't that
— Wesley Lowery (@WesleyLowery) August 14, 2014
Really upset, and have conflicting emotions - but can't shake anger that (part) of story about my stupid detention and not about ferguson
— Wesley Lowery (@WesleyLowery) August 14, 2014
Both reporters were later released without being charged. Another Huffington Post reporter, Christine Conetta, tweeted that she had been hit with tear gas at a Ferguson protest.
Just got hit with tear gas, hard to see or breathe. #ferguson

At the center of all of this chaos is the shooting death of unarmed 18-year old Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer on Saturday, August 9. 5 days after the shooting authorities have yet to release the officer's name. He's been placed on paid administrative leave pending an FBI investigation.

Fox News anchor Shepard Smith committed a cardinal sin on air Monday, August 11, while talking about the death of Robin Williams.
Smith described the late actor/comedian as a "coward" for the way he died.
“Something inside you is so horrible or you’re such a coward or whatever the reason that you decide that you have to end it. Robin Williams, at 63, did that today,” Smith said
Smith's comments were condemned by many on social media
.@ShepNewsTeam couldn't wait till his body was in the ground before calling #RobinWilliams a coward http://t.co/5Yj59Hqp2U

Shep Smith, who I am usually a big fan of, has apparently never been depressed http://t.co/nki3JJ4OO0
— Henry Blodget (@hblodget) August 12, 2014
Shep Smith questioned whether Robin Williams was a "Coward"? NOOOOO! Ailes got to the only good guy there! GODDAMN IT! #EverybodySucksAtFox
— Kevin Grüssing (@KevDGrussing) August 12, 2014
Williams was one of those rare actors who was equally effective in both comedies like "Mrs Doubtfire" and dramas such as "One Hour Photo."
He battled depression for years and was said to be embarrassed by having to take roles in the last years of his life just to get by financially.
“There was also frustration that Robin expressed at having to take television and movie roles he didn’t want to take, but had to for the paycheck,” source told Radar Online, referencing his recently announced decision to film Mrs. Doubtfire 2. “Doing sequels was never Robin’s thing, and he wasn’t that excited at having to reprise the role of Mrs. Doubtfire, which was scheduled to start filming later this year.”
On Tuesday Smith issued an apology for his poor choice of words via Mediate.
I spent an entire hour talking about how much this man affected people’s lives and brought greatness to this world. I was just wondering aloud what could have made this man want to end it all. And it reminds us that we all have responsibility as friends and neighbors to help take responsibility to prevent this from happening. There are people who process suicide as a black-and white-issue. I don’t process anything as black-and-white.
I was sorry to read online the people who see the world in a black-and-white way, and to suggest that they might have a definitive analysis of why he did such a thing. What I wanted to do is celebrate his life and find some meaning in our own lives, since we often do know someone who is reaching out, and we have a responsibility to help that person — maybe a phone call or a door knock is in order.
But no matter how you process it: Look at what this family is going through. I would never presume to know anything about his private life. And if any of his family members and friends were to have seen me use the word “coward,” I would be horrified. I would just to apologize to the end of the earth to anyone who might think that I meant to openly call him a coward.
To the core of my being, I regret it. It just came out of my mouth. And I’m so sorry. And to anyone and their families who see that, I am sorry.

The Christy Mack and War Machine saga is getting uglier by the day. Mack is currently in the hospital recovering from 18 broken bones, missing teeth, fractured ribs and a ruptured kidney suffered when War, real name Jonathan Koppenhaver, attacked her at her Las Vegas home on Friday, August 9.
The two are telling different stories about what happened. Mack says she and Koppenhaver had been apart since May when he broke off the relationship. Koppenhaver claims he went to her home to give Mack an engagement ring and found another man there. He proceeded to beat both of them.
World famous Dog the Bounty Hunter is now involved, according to TMZ. He was contacted by a mutual friend and plans on tracking Koppenhaver down. He's reportedly contacted the mixed martial arts fighter and given him 24 hours to turn himself in or else.
The threat sparked a war of words on Twitter between Dog, real name Duane Chapman, his son Leland Chapman, daughter Lyssa Chapman and War Machine's brother Michael Koppenhaver.

Meanwhile, Mack's porn star friends are rallying to help cover her medical costs.

Mack needs operations on her eye socket, broken nose and other injuries.
Jenna Jameson, Kendra Lust, Ava Addams, Tasha Reign guitarist Dave Navarro have contributed. XXX website Brazzers.com have donated $10,000.

Something good has come out of Stevie J's child support case. The Grammy Award-winning producer was ordered to take drug tests and he's tested clean for seven weeks. Specifically for weed and cocaine. That's commendable because it's not easy to quit cold turkey without going to rehab.
Stevie now needs to work on the $1 million he owes in child support.
As we previously reported, he was arrested in Georgia in June on a criminal complaint that says he owed $1,107,412 in back child support. After posting $25,000 bail, Stevie had to appear in the Southern District of New York where the criminal complaint was filed. The drug tests were a part of his court-ordered agreement.
He also owes $371,000 to the IRS.
