A Billings, Montana cop has been cleared in the shooting death of an unarmed robbery suspect. Officer Grant Morrison shot Richard Ramirez three times as he sat in the back seat of a vehicle during a traffic stop on April 14, 2014.
Richard Ramirez
According to the Billings Gazette, Ramirez was wanted for a robbery and shooting involving a 61-year old male victim the night before. When Morrison pulled over the car Ramirez was riding in he immediately recognized the suspect as one of four people in the vehicle.
All four people complied with instructions to put their hands up, but Ramirez later repeatedly dropped his left hand and appeared to try to open the right rear passenger door. Morrison says he warned that he would shoot and reached into the vehicle trying to get Ramirez, who was reportedly high on meth at the time, to comply.
"I was getting very scared," Morrison said. "He pulled away from me, and he again did the exact same thing. He shoved his hand down to his side and started jiggling it up and down. I told him I was going to shoot him if he didn't listen to me and put his hands up."
Officer Grant Morrison
A seven-person coroner's jury ruled Wednesday,January 7, 2015, that the shooting was a noncriminal, justifiable homicide
Ramirez's family isn't buying it.
"Richard Ramirez was my son," Betty Ramirez said. "He was 38 years old, and Officer Morrison is the one that killed him. He was just a good person, and they didn't have to do that to him."
Dashcam footage was just released that shows Morrison's reaction immediately following the shooting. He had to be consoled by fellow officers as he cried uncontrollably.
“I thought he was going to pull a gun on me.” Morrison says.
“There are no winners,” Billings Police Chief Rich St. John, told the Billings Gazette. “The Ramirez family lost a son, and our officer’s life will be changed forever. The verdict of justified homicide reaffirms that our policy procedure and training is properly aligned with state and federal law."

As we reported last week, celebrity boxing promoter Damon Feldman appeared to have locked down a fight between Math Hoffa and Dizaster. Talk of Floyd Mayweather Sr. as the referee and a $500,000 purse were discussed. Both rappers seemed to agree. Now it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
Hoffa just dropped a vlog discussing the fight. He says he's ready, but Diz doesn't want it.
"The money is on the line. I mean, think about that. Some motherfucker's will fight Mike Tyson for that type of shit," Math said. "But for some reason I feel like this nigga is mad scared. At first he acted like he with it. Then he acted like he wanted to get somebody else involved in the situation, like he wanted to step out. 500 hundred grand my nigga. 500 grand [and] you still scared? That's crazy."
Dizaster responded to the vlog via Twitter, saying the offer from the promoter was fake.
Will this fight do down? At this point who knows.

There are a lot of houses in California that Ray J could buy, but he's chosen one eight doors down from former girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her husband Kanye West.
There are a few reasons why this seems like a bad idea. Ray has taken shots at the couple over the last several years, including releasing a song called "I Hit It First," with an accompanying music video that features a Kim look-a-like.
Then there's Kanye's famous temper and the fact that Kim and Ray have one of the highest selling sex tapes ever.
According to TMZ, Ray says the $2.7 million Hidden Hills mansion is in his stomping grounds and if anything Kim is the one who decided to move into his territory.
Is Ray J going too far with all of this?

If Adrien Broner had called 50 Cent for advice while negotiating with Roc Nation Sports he would be signed to them.
TMZ Sports caught up with 50, who is the CEO of his own boxing agency, SMS Promotions, and asked him what he thought of Broner turning down Jay Z's offer of $40 million over five years, then telling him to "suck his dick."
"That wasn't a good idea to say that," the business mogul told TMZ Sports. "He should have took [the offer]."
As we previously reported, the boxing champion says he found the offer and the fact that Jay never talked to him personally offensive.
"The capacity of the offer was $40 million for five years and that's just bullsh*t," he told TMZ Sports. "At the end of the day I felt disrespected. If you gonna come to me and tell me I'm gonna fight two times a year, getting $8 million a year for five years straight you got me f*cked up. I'm not old. I'm scheduled to fight four times this year. Stop sending your workers to talk to me. I'm a boss and bosses talk to bosses."

Everyone has an opinion on the Michael Brown case and whether or not police are abusing their power in African American and Hispanic communities in the U.S.
In a cover story for Billboard, Kendrick Lamar offered his take.
"I wish somebody would look in our neighborhood knowing that it's already a situation, mentally, where it's fucked up," the Compton, California native said. "What happened to [Michael Brown] should've never happened. Never. But when we don't have respect for ourselves, how do we expect them to respect us? It starts from within. Don't start with just a rally, don't start from looting -- it starts from within."
Those comments didn't sit well with outspoken Harlem, New York rapper Azealia Banks. She took aim at Kendrick in a long Twitter rant.

**UPDATE** January 11
Welp, all hell has broken loose on Twitter. Lupe Fiasco sent out a tweet in support of Kendrick Lamar. Azealia Banks saw it and responded starting a verbal sparring session.
Rather than outright insult Banks, Lupe responded to everything she said with a series of hilarious pictures with captions reminding her that she was once a fan of his and copied his style.
Let's get started, shall we?

Then out of nowhere Kid Cudi jumped into the battle sparking a war of words with Lupe.

Well, damn!!

MIAMI (Associated Press) — Florida authorities say George Zimmerman, whose acquittal of murdering an unarmed black teen sparked a national debate on race and self-defense laws, has been arrested for allegedly throwing a wine bottle at his girlfriend.
The Seminole County Sheriff's Office says the 31-year-old Zimmerman was arrested for aggravated assault in Lake Mary about 10 p.m. Friday and is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
During a court appearance Saturday morning, Zimmerman's bond was set at $5,000 and he was ordered to avoid contact with the woman who was not identified.
Judge John Galluzzo gave few details of the incident, but said a wine bottle was involved and that the alleged assault happened at Zimmerman's home. Prosecutors questioned whether substance abuse treatment was needed, but the judge said that didn't seem to be a factor.
After the brief hearing, Zimmerman's attorney, Don West, told the Orlando Sentinel (http://tinyurl.com/me467wh) his client was arrested after allegedly throwing a wine bottle at his girlfriend several days ago.

Zimmerman was also told by the judge to stay out of Volusia County, where the woman lives.
The judge ordered Zimmerman to pack up any personal belongings his girlfriend may have left at Zimmerman's home and give them to his lawyer.
Zimmerman, who wore blue scrubs and handcuffs, appeared calm during the brief hearing. At one point, he laughed and joked with an officer as he signed paperwork.
Although the incident didn't involve a firearm, the judge ordered Zimmerman to surrender any weapons out of an abundance of caution.
Zimmerman is scheduled to appear back in court on Feb. 17.
No further details about the alleged assault were released. A message left for Seminole County Sheriff officials seeking further information about the incident was not immediately returned Saturday morning.
Zimmerman was acquitted in 2013 of a second-degree murder charge for shooting an unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin.
Since his acquittal, Zimmerman has had several brushes with the law:
— He was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, battery and criminal mischief after his then-girlfriend said he pointed a gun at her face during an argument, smashed her coffee table and pushed her out of the house they shared. Samantha Scheibe decided not to cooperate with detectives and prosecutors didn't pursue the case.
— Zimmerman was accused by his estranged wife of smashing an iPad during an argument at the home they had shared. Shellie Zimmerman initially told a dispatcher her husband had a gun, though she later said he was unarmed. No charges were ever filed because of a lack of evidence. The dispute occurred days after Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers.
— Zimmerman has also been pulled over three times for traffic violations since his acquittal.

WBA International Light Welterweight Champion Adrien Broner was recently approached by Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports team about signing with the agency. He turned the offer down.
Broner felt disrespected by the money discussed and the fact that Jay never personally reached out to him.
"The type of offers I turn down. Fuck Jay Z. Shit real out here," Broner wrote on his Facebook page. "What the fuck is 40 million for five years? Somebody go tell Jay Z to suck my dick with a elephant tongue. WE GOOOOOOD!!!"
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Broner elaborated further.
"The capacity of the offer was $40 million for five years and that's just bullshit," he told TMZ Sports. "At the end of the day I felt disrespected. If you gonna come to me and tell me I'm gonna fight two times a year, getting $8 million a year for five years straight you got me fucked up. I'm not old. I'm scheduled to fight four times this year. Stop sending your workers to talk to me. I'm a boss and bosses talk to bosses."
The 25-year old fighter wasn't done. When asked whether getting one step closer to Rihanna would be an incentive to sign with RNS he offered a harsh reply.
"Man, fuck Rihanna. No disrespect," Broner said. "Rihanna ain't gonna make me no dollars. At the end of the day, she gon' give me some pussy and that's it."
**UPDATE** January 12
Broner has taken some time to reflect on his disrespectful language aimed at Jay Z and Rihanna and now regrets it. He told TMZ Sports that a friend reached out to him and made him see that what he said was wrong. He's issued an apology to both.
"You never invite a man to another man's private parts. That's just ridiculous," Broner told TMZ Sports. "I was caught up in the moment and I wanna apologize to Jay for that. I'm a man at the end of the day and I'm wrong. And I can admit when I'm wrong. I never should have said [fuck] Rihanna. I just wanna say I'm wrong to the public, I'm sorry. If Jay wanna talk to me, you can get in touch with me and we'll talk. I just had to get it off my chest."
