Conor McGregor is one of the best fighters in the UFC. The Featherweight Champion is also a master at trash talking and stirring up controversy.
In December he was asked who would win a fight between himself and Jesus.
"Me versus Jesus in the Octagon. I'll tell you what, there's not a man alive that can beat me," McGregor said at the time. "But Jesus ain't alive is he? I don't fucking know. Maybe he can come back from the dead. I'd still whoop his ass."
Wanderlei Silva says he wants to slap Conor McGregor for disrespecting Jesus
Those comments riled up"The Axe Murderer" Wanderlei Silva, who said he would 'slap this motherfucker in the face."
Now McGregor has caught the attention of a Baptist preacher in Texas, Donnie Romero, for comments he made at the press conference for UFC 197.
Conor McGregor compares himself to God at the 21:07 mark
"Me and Jesus are cool," McGregor said. "I'm cool with all the Gods. Gods recognize Gods."
"I'm gonna pray that God strikes this guy dead," Romero told his congregation in response to McGregor's comments. "Do you know why? His name is Conor McGregor. And he's the UFC Featherweight champ or something like that. He said that 'if Jesus was in the ring with me I'd knock him out.' And somebody threw that in his face and said, "do you remember that time when you said you would beat up Jesus in the ring?' And he said, 'me and Jesus are good because Gods recognize Gods.' The guy's a UFC fighter ... the guy's nothing. He's let money go to his head, he's got pride and look, let me tell you this, the bigger they are the harder they fall, my friend. "That guy, I'm gonna pray that God strikes him down with a lighting bolt. So everybody in the world that believes the Bible, even a little bit will know that it was God, it was Jesus that struck him down."

The tangled web that is Johnny Manziel's life keeps spiraling in the wrong direction.
The Dallas Morning News reports that police were called to the apartment of the Cleveland Browns quarterback's ex girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, at 2 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, to investigate a possible domestic disturbance.
The police report states that the 23-year old woman told cops she was involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend earlier in the evening.
Manziel was not at the scene when police arrived and Crowley became uncooperative.
The Fort Worth Police Department released the following statement.
At approximately 2 a.m. on January 30, 2016, patrol officers were dispatched to 2101 Park Hill Drive (The Berkeley Apartments) in reference to a report of a possible assault.
Upon arrival, officers did not locate the caller, but did make contact with a 23 year old female who stated that she was involved in a disturbance with her ex-boyfriend (23 year old male suspect) earlier in the evening in Dallas. The preliminary investigation determined that a possible assault had occurred in that jurisdiction or multiple jurisdictions. The complainant was uncooperative with officers on scene, and they were unable to locate a crime scene within the Fort Worth jurisdiction, however, our officers prepared a report nonetheless, and that information was forwarded to detectives for further investigation.
The Dallas Police Department was notified of a possible disturbance, so any questions regarding their jurisdiction should be submitted to DPD.
The complainant also advised our officers of concerns that she had regarding the well-being of her ex-boyfriend. In an effort to follow-up on this, Fort Worth officers attempted to locate him, by calling cell phone numbers associated with him, checking locations within our jurisdiction, and searching the area with the assistance of our Air One Unit. It was later determined by officers that the ex-boyfriend was safe and in no danger. The Fort Worth Police Department is actively working with Dallas PD to determine if a criminal offense occurred.
This is the second time that police were called to investigate a domestic disturbance between the ex-couple.
In October, the former Heisman Trophy winner out of Texas A&M, was questioned by Avon, Ohio cops after witnesses saw him arguing on the side of a highway with Crowley and pulling her back into his car as she tried to exit the vehicle.
Crowley told police she didn't want to press charges and Manziel was allowed to leave.
Colleen and I got into a dumb public argument on the way home Monday afternoon. It probably looked more interesting than it was and...
The quarterback has been a constant source of concern for the Browns organization since being selected with the No. 22 overall in the 2014 NFL draft.
In February 2015, he checked into rehab for alcohol addiction.
In May 2015, Manziel threw a water bottle at a fan who allegedly harassed him at a golf tournament.
In October 2015, he was involved in the 1st domestic incident with Colleen Crowley.
In November 2015, a video surfaced of Manziel partying in Austin. He lied to the team by telling them the video was old. When the truth was discovered he was demoted to third string.
Earlier this month Manziel was spotted in Las Vegas wearing a blonde wig, fake mustache and going by the name Billy. The Browns had a game the following day and although Johnny didn't have to attend because he had a concussion, the quarterback failed to show up for mandatory medical treatment that morning.
LeBron James'marketing agency recently cut ties with Manziel.
The Browns have hired Hue Jackson as their new head coach and hold the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming draft. It's highly likely they will select a quarterback and either trade Manziel (if they can find a team that wants him) or cut him.
**UPDATE** February 2
The Cleveland Browns have have had enough of Johnny Manziel's off the field troubles. According to various reports, the team will release him on March 9th, when the new NFL year starts.
"We've been clear about expectations for our players on and off the field. Johnny's continual involvement in incidents that run counter to those expectations undermines the hard work of his teammates and the reputation of our organization," the Brown said in a statement. "His status with our team will be addressed when permitted by league rules. We will have no further comment at this time."
Manziel could also face discipline from the NFL for this latest domestic dispute.
Now we know why Amber Rose and Kim Kardashian are suddenly snapping selfies together.
Kim's husband, Kanye West, just took to his Twitter account to let his 18 million followers know that he and Amber's baby daddy, Wiz Khalifa, have settled their differences.
"Me and Wiz spoke yesterday. Great convo. All positive," West wrote.
As a result Amber and Kim decided to dead their rivalry as well.
The feud began last week when Yeezy announced that he had changed the title of his forthcoming album from"SWISH"to"Waves."
Wiz took offense and tweeted that he felt like that was stepping on the toes of the original Wavy One, incarcerated rapper Max B.
West responded by launching a scathing Twitter attack on the Taylor Gang boss, Amber and their son Sebastian.
That led to an accusation by Amber that her fingers had been placed inside an orifice located on West's lower body when the two dated several years ago. And also Wiz screaming "fuck Kanye" during a couple of overseas tour stops.
But cooler heads have prevailed and the feud's been put to bed. All's well that ends well.
Actor and comedian Bill Cosby, center, arrives for a court appearance Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, in Norristown, Pa. Cosby was arrested and charged with drugging and sexually assaulting a woman at his home in January 2004.

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — The former district attorney who declined a decade ago to bring sex-crime charges against Bill Cosby testified Tuesday that he believes his decision forever bars his successors from prosecuting the comedian.
Former Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor took the stand as part of a bid by Cosby's lawyers to get the case against the TV star thrown out because of what they say is a non-prosecution agreement from Castor.
The current district attorney has said there is no record of any such agreement.
Cosby, 78, was arrested and charged in December with drugging and violating former Temple University athletic department employee Andrea Constand at his suburban Philadelphia mansion in 2004. He could get up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
Andrea Constand
Castor said Tuesday that he believed Constand was violated but that proving it would have been problematic because of serious flaws in the case, and so he declined to bring charges in 2005.
He said that he made the decision as a representative of the state — as "the sovereign," as he put it, over and over — and that it would last in perpetuity.
"For all time, yes," Castor said when pressed.
And he suggested that Cosby and his lawyer at the time had the same understanding, because Cosby later agreed to testify without invoking his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination in a lawsuit brought against him by Constand.
"Cosby would've had to have been nuts to say those things if there was any chance he could've been prosecuted," Castor said, referring to the damaging testimony unsealed last summer.
Castor said he hoped, correctly, at the time that the decision not to prosecute would free the comedian to testify in the lawsuit and help Constand win damages. She eventually settled for an undisclosed amount.
The former DA said he "wanted there to be some measure of justice" for Constand, explaining, "I thought making Mr. Cosby pay money was the best I was going to be able to set the stage for."
He added: "I was hopeful that I had made Ms. Constand a millionaire."
He said he relayed word to Cosby's then-attorney, Walter Phillips, that Cosby would not be charged. However, Castor said the two lawyers did not have "an agreement" that Cosby would testify in exchange for not being prosecuted.
Phillips is now dead.
Kevin Steele, the newly elected DA who is pursuing the case, has said Cosby would need an immunity agreement in writing to get the case thrown out. He has said he has no evidence one exists.
While Castor was called as witness by Cosby's side, the former DA said he is rooting for the prosecution.
"I'm not on your team here," Castor told Cosby lawyer Brian McMonagle. "I want them to win."
In a barrage of allegations that have destroyed Cosby's image as America's Dad, dozens of women have accused the former TV star of drugging and sexually assaulting them since the 1960s. But this is the only case in which he has been charged.
The unsealing of the testimony from Constand's lawsuit prompted Castor's successors to reopen the case and ultimately charge Cosby.
Cosby admitted in the deposition that he had affairs with young models and actresses, that he obtained quaaludes to give to women he wanted to have sex with and that he gave Constand three pills at his home. He said he reached into her pants but insisted it was consensual.
Castor defended his decision not to bring charges, testifying that he saw Constand's year-long delay in reporting the allegations, inconsistencies in her statements and her contact with a lawyer before going to police as problematic.
Castor said Constand's delay was of "enormous significance" in his consideration of the case. He said it thwarted his ability to test her hair or fingernails for evidence she was drugged.
Still, Castor said, he investigated the case thoroughly because he wanted to show authorities in Constand's native Canada that celebrities don't get preferential treatment in America.
Anne Poulin, a law professor at Villanova University, said the defense has a high bar to meet to get the case thrown out early on. But "if they can win without this ever going to trial, then they've done their client a big service."
It was not immediately clear when Common Pleas Judge Steven T. O'Neill would rule.
At one point Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were toying with the idea of selling a single copy of their final album for $1million, similar to what Wu Tang Clan did in successfully finding a buyer in Martin Shkreli for their $2 million"Once Upon a Time in Shaolin" project.
In a new interview with VladTV, Krayzie Bone, gives an update on the status of that project.
"We king of backed up off of that because our fans is real sensitive. Our fans flipped the hell out," Krayzie said. "They was like, 'what you mean, you gon' charge us $1 million for your album?' I'm like, 'y'all don't even understand what we're saying right now.' We kind of just backed up off of it. It's still options on the table. We looking at other options as well. That ain't the only one we got. [We're] still thinking about how to make it work in a much more effective way."
