Drake and Meek Mill have primarily been involved in a one-on-one beef for months now. No other major figures in their respective camps has thrown their hat in the ring. That may be changing soon.
During a recent appearance on N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN's "Drink Champs" podcast, Rick Ross, said he was willing to get his hands dirty on behalf of his MMG artist Meek.
"For my dawg, it's whatever ... if it's gon' be, whatever," Ross said. "If it's gotta go there, Renzel gon' jump off the porch on your ass."
The 40-year old Florida rapper, bornWilliam Roberts, added that he doesn't believe Meek is losing the battle. And even took a backhanded swipe atBirdmanandCash Money Records,by insinuating Drake isn't getting paid.
"We all rich niggas. I know what Meek Mill getting. Everybody don't know what [Cash Money's] business like. I don't know what's really touching the bank account."
This isn't the first time Ross has thrown shots at Birdman.
Ross mentioned that interview during his conversation on "The Drink Champs.".
"You either be G enough, whatever the situation is. Niggas bring it to the table or you just let it go out of control and see what happens," he told N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN. "I always been one of them niggas. When I first spoke on it on The Breakfast Club I was obviously speaking in a peaceful tone. That’s my way of [saying] ‘Y’all niggas need to tighten up so niggas can get it right.' Because if you assuming that I respect whoever your big homies is, you wrong."

19-year old Georgia rapper and2016 XXL Freshman, Lil Yachty, has amassed a strong fan base from his"Lil Boat"and "Summer Songs 2" mixtapes.
He prides himself on doing things his way, but part of what makes artists in any genre of music successful is studying the greats that came before them. Not to copy their style, but to have a better understanding of what it takes to create a lasting persona.
That's why it's surprising that during a new interview with Billboard, Yachty, admitted that he "honestly couldn't name five songs" by hip hop legends The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur.
"But if I'm doing this my way and making all this money," he reasoned, "why should I do it how everybody says it's supposed to be done?"

(Billboard) 50 Cent leads THR’s Top TV Songs chart for July with his song “I’m The Man,” featuring Sonny Digital, thanks to HBO’s Ballers.
Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on cumulative monthly Shazam tags, as well as sales and streaming information tracked by Nielsen Music during the same period.
“I’m the Man,” which was featured in the Ballers’ second season premiere episode on July 17, sits atop the chart with 109,000 Shazam tags, as well as 13.8 million U.S. streams and 20,000 downloads in July, according to Nielsen Music. Of those downloads, 6,000 occurred in the first tracking week after the episode aired (week ending July 21), marking a 280 percent gain from the previous week, where it sold 2,000.
But that’s not all. Additionally, a remix of “I’m the Man” featuring Chris Brown, debuts at No. 2 on the Top TV Songs chart after its appearance in the Starz series Power, snagging 25,000 additional Shazam tags for itself.
Of the remaining eight songs in the top 10, five tracks were featured in season one of the Netflix sci-fi drama Stranger Things, which premiered on Netflix July 15. The series is set in 1983, so many of the tracks — “Africa” by Toto, “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash, “Atmosphere” by Joy Division among them — were released in the ‘80s. A notable exception, “Heroes” by Peter Gabriel, was released in 2010, though the original recording by David Bowie debuted in 1977.
“Africa” lands at No. 3 on Top TV Songs with 46,000 Shazam tags, 5.1 million U.S. streams and 13,000 downloads in July. The track was streamed 1 million times in the tracking week after Netflix premiered the show (week ending July 21), marking a 10 percent gain from the previous week, where it was streamed about 900,000 times.
“Should I Stay or Should I Go,” a recurring track throughout Stranger Things, finishes at No. 6 with 37,000 Shazam tags, 1.6 million U.S. streams and 4,000 downloads.
