(Fox6 Now) LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A family says a man broke into their home and started undressing in a 12-year-old girl's bedroom. He's facing a litany of charges and recovering from gunshot wounds.

"It was early early in the morning when my daughter text my phone and she told me someone was in her room. We ran out the room and there he was, standing right there in the kitchen," said the female homeowner.

"Half naked," said the male homeowner.

"Right," said the female homeowner.

As it turned out, the stranger in her room at 7 a.m. Sunday, April 14 was a next-door neighbor. The child's family moved to the home near Homeview Drive and Montana Avenue two weeks prior. They said the neighbor broke in through the front door.

"She was really smart. She hid under the cover, turned her light down, turned her volume down on her phone to text me and then she peeked out from the cover to see where he was at, and she got up and she ran away," said the female homeowner.

Police said 38-year-old Donald Oliver Jr. has a long history of convictions for drugs, trespassing and fleeing police. In 2001, he pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct. Court records showed he got a 15-year-old girl pregnant.

"He got undressed in my daughter's room. Like, what were your intentions? Like, you are sick," said the female homeowner.

Oliver Jr. was in a wheelchair as he made an appearance in court Monday, April 15 to be arraigned. Bond was set at $50,000.

"I told him get out, and he didn't want to move, and he growled at me. He growled. He ended up getting six shots, period," said the male homeowner.

No charges were filed against the homeowner.

Police said as Oliver Jr. stood in their home, undressed, he dropped a small bag of suspected heroin.

"I'm not going to let anybody run me out of my home. We're going to stay here. I just hope everybody knows leave this house alone," said the female homeowner.

The family said they never met their next-door neighbor until that morning.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A Marrero woman used her ex-boyfriend’s prosthetic leg to beat him up after a night of drinking and a break up, authorities said.

Michelle Jackson, 58, was arrested on Wednesday (April 10) and booked with aggravated battery, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Capt. Jason Rivarde said the two began drinking on Feb. 11 when at some point the victim told Jackson he wanted to date someone else.

The man later went to sleep but woke up early the next morning with a large cut on his head and was dripping with blood. His hand was also injured, Rivarde said.

Jackson told a relative that she took the victim’s prosthetic leg and beat him with it. Jackson also admitted to stabbing the man, although he did not have any stab wounds, Rivarde said.

Jackson left before deputies arrived. They said she called a relative and friend because she though she killed the man.

U.S. Marshals eventually tracked Jackson down Wednesday at her house and booked her into the Jefferson parish Correctional Center.

She is being held without bond.

(NBC Los Angeles) A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was unveiled Thursday honoring Cypress Hill, the first Latino American hip-hop group with a recording to go platinum.

Comedian Tommy Chong and the rapper Xzibit joined band members in speaking in the late-morning ceremony in front of the Greenleaf Gourmet Chopshop at the Eastown apartment complex on Hollywood Boulevard.

The star is the 2,660th since the completion of the Walk of Fame in 1961 with the first 1,558 stars. The ceremony comes 10 days short of seven months after the release of its the group's latest album, "Elephants on Acid."

Senen Reyes (also known as Sen Dog) and Ulpiano Sergio Reyes (also known as Mellow Man Ace) -- brothers who were born in Cuba and raised in South Gate -- teamed with New York City native Lawrence Muggerud (also known as DJ Muggs) and Louis Freese (aka B-Real) in 1988 to form the hip-hop group DVX, short for Devastating Vocal Excellence.

Mellow Man Ace left the band a short time later to pursue a solo career and the group changed its name to Cypress Hill, after a street in South Gate. Drummer Eric "Bobo" Correa joined in 1993 and continues to be a member.

Cypress Hill's self-titled first album was released in August 1991 and sold more than 2 million copies. Its second album, "Black Sunday," released in 1993, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and earned a triple-platinum certification after selling more than 3 million copies.

Cypress Hill received its first Grammy nomination in 1993 for best rap performance by a duo or group for "Insane In The Brain." It was also nominated in the category the following two years for "I Ain't Goin' Out Like That" and "Throw Your Set In The Air."

"Insane in the Brain" was 34th on VH1's list of 100 greatest songs of hip-hop released in 2008.

The band's third album, 1995's "Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom," and fifth, 2000's "Skull & Bones," went platinum, each selling more than 1 million copies. Its third, 1998's "Cypress Hill IV," went gold, selling more than 500,000 copies.

Cypress Hill is scheduled to perform tonight at the Whiskey a Go Go in West Hollywood and conduct a European tour June 19-July 14.

Report via TMZ -- Nipsey Hussle's friend who was shot during the fatal attack is about to get sprung from jail.

As we first reported ... Kerry Lathan -- a 56-year-old man who was shot in the back when Nipsey was killed outside his The Marathon clothing store -- was arrested days after because one of his parole conditions is not associating with known gang members. You'll recall cops said Nipsey was a member of the Rollin 60s Crips.

Lathan was transferred to Men's Central Jail in downtown L.A. but a rep with L.A. Superior Court tells us the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation withdrew its petition to revoke his parole.

It's unclear why the Corrections Department is making this move but as you know ... Nipsey's been celebrated as a hero in his community by everyone from L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti to President Obama.

In fact, Nipsey was supposed to meet with city officials the day after he was brutally gunned down ... to hold a gang violence summit with LAPD.

Lathan could reportedly be a free man again by Thursday afternoon.

(MMA Junkie) -- Former UFC strawweight fighter Angela Magana is on the road to recovery after being in a coma for two days, her coach, Gabriel Lamastus, told MMA Junkie on Thursday.

“Angela is responding to the treatment and is waking up!!!,” Lamastus said in a text message. “We are over joyed (sic). She has been in and out of it.”

He added, “This started happening this morning.” Lamastus said Magana has been able to talk, as well.

The significant progress in Magana’s condition comes two days after she fell into a coma following complications from anesthesia during emergency surgery at University Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Magana had been dealing with back pain as she prepared for an upcoming Combate Americas fight. An MRI revealed Magana had a herniated disc, but she continued to train for roughly a week while on medication until the pain became too much.

Monday, Magana had a nerve block done, but Lamastus said she didn’t respond well, leading to a diagnosis of cauda equina syndrome and the need for emergency surgery Tuesday. Magana didn’t wake up after surgery until Thursday morning.

Magana, who was released from the UFC in January 2018, had been scheduled to meet Kyra Batara at “Combate 35: Reinas” on April 26 in Los Angeles.

Report via TMZ -- Rapper G Herbo is facing a battery charge after an argument with his baby mama, Ariana Fletcher, allegedly turned physical ... TMZ has learned.

According to Atlanta Police ... the rapper and Ari got into it Wednesday morning -- mostly yelling at each other -- but at some point, cops say Herbo assaulted her. Cops say he then left the location with their son but later returned ... and after officers spoke to him, they arrested him for simple battery.

Cops say Ariana sustained minor scratches during the altercation, and right now it's unclear what triggered the alleged assault. Cops are continuing their investigation.

Perhaps complicating matters for G Herbo is the fact Ari is now dating boxer Gervonta Davis ... and is actually about 14 weeks pregnant with his child.

What's interesting is Ari and Gervonta were out partying Tuesday night at Allure Gentlemen's Club where G Herbo also happened to be. The trio was NOT there together. It's unclear if any encounter there might have led to the alleged assault the next morning.

Herbo is still in jail. His bond has been set at $2,000.

Report via NBC News -- Rapper Kodak Black and three others were arrested after they allegedly tried crossing the U.S.-Canada border near Buffalo with guns and marijuana, officials said Thursday.

The artist — born Bill Kapri — was a no-show for concerts in Boston on Wednesday night, after he was stopped at the Lewiston-Queenston International Bridge hours earlier, authorities said.

Kodak, 21, and Jeantony Saintmelus, 22, were booked on suspicion of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana, state police said. Stetson J. President, 24, and Madarrow D. Smith, 20, were booked for alleged criminal possession of a weapon.

“During the initial inspection, the U.S. citizens admitted to being in possession of marijuana and firearms,” according to a statement by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. “During a secondary inspection, it was revealed that the weapons were possessed unlawfully in New York State and subsequently the marijuana, firearms and subjects were turned over to the New York State Police for further processing.”

Kodak was behind the wheel of a Cadillac Escalade, with a temporary California registration, when he was stopped. The gun in the Cadillac was a Glock 9mm pistol, state police said.

Saintmelus was driving a Porche, alongside Kodak’s Escalade, and there were three guns and marijuana found inside that car, police said.

The arrests caused Kodak to miss shows at the House of Blues in Boston on Wednesday night.

Video After The Jump

Report via TMZ Sports - An ex-NFL running back is facing murder and child abuse charges in the death of a 5-year-old girl -- after officials say he killed her through rigorous exercise used to punish her.

28-year-old Cierre Wood -- a former star running back at Notre Dame -- appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom Tuesday in the death of his girlfriend's daughter, La'Rayah Davis

Davis died on April 9 -- and prosecutors say it's because Wood forced her to complete a hellacious workout routine unsuited for a 5-year-old.

Officials say Wood claimed Davis had behavior issues -- he also described her as "chunky" -- so to punish her, Wood would force her to run wind sprints and do sit-ups and wall squats inside their apartment.

Officials say Wood admitted Davis couldn't complete a second round of sit-ups on April 9 -- and flailed backward, smacking the back of her head against the floor.

She then got up and swayed -- and then collapsed. She was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officials say Wood had a slogan for the punishment -- calling it, "Learning through fun."

The girl's mother, Amy Taylor, has also been charged with murder -- and officials say she also abused the child before her death.

Prosecutors say Taylor admits the 5-year-old was complaining of chest pains in the days before her death -- after her mother had sat on her chest and stomach to punish her for misbehaving.

Officials say Taylor also admitted to having "popped" her daughter on the day she died.

During Tuesday's hearing, the judge says photos of Davis' body show severe injuries -- and told the court, "Once you’ve seen them, you can’t ever unsee them."

La'Rayah died with internal injuries to her lungs and diaphragm, and the judge noted what she called "injuries consistent with extreme abuse" including a lacerated liver, broken ribs and "severe injuries from the child's forehead to the child's about mid-thighs."

The case is due back in court soon.

As for Wood, he was a stud running back in college -- rushing for 1,102 yards as a junior in 2011. He was suspended in 2012 for 2 games for violating team rules.

Wood signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent in 2013 but never panned out.

He bounced around to the Patriots, Seahawks and Bills ... before ultimately landing in the Canadian Football League. He hasn't been on a CFL roster since May 2018.
