May 20 (Reuters) - Michael Vick, the once-dynamic NFL quarterback whose involvement in a dogfighting ring halted a breathtaking career in its prime, has agreed to come out of retirement to join startup league Fan Controlled Football.

Vick, a former first overall draft pick who last suited up for a National Football League game in 2015, will make his debut on May 28, the last day of the regular season.

The 41-year-old Vick has not yet been assigned a team.

Vick is the latest high-profile player to sign up with Fan Controlled Football, joining a group that includes Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens & Johnny Manziel, whose much-hyped NFL career fizzled out after & seasons.

Vick agreed to a comeback after seeing the success that good friend Owens has been having since he signed with the league this year.

Fan Controlled Football, which this year doubled in size to eight teams for its second season, is a condensed 7-on-7 style of American football played on a 50-yard indoor field & acts as a real-life video game that allows fans to call the plays.

Vick was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the first pick of the 2001 NFL Draft, making him the first Black quarterback to be taken with the top pick & he went on to dazzle fans with his breakaway running speed & powerful passing arm.

A standout in Atlanta for most of his 6 seasons with the Falcons, Vick pleaded guilty in 2007 & apologized for his role in an illegal dogfighting enterprise known as "Bad Newz Kennels" that ultimately saw him spend nearly 2 years in prison.

Vick returned in 2009 with the Philadelphia Eagles where he served as a seldom-used backup but took over the starting role the next season & was at his best en route to being named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year & earning the fourth Pro Bowl selection of his career.

A TikTok star's pleasure turned into a real pain in the butt, literally -- she says she got a sex toy stuck up there and had to get it surgically removed.

The woman, who goes by the handle @sophzaloafs and lives in the U.K., shared her horror story ... and even posted the X-ray images of a vibrator inside her body.

The TikToker says things got out of hand when she was using the 3-inch toy, and when she couldn't get it out, she sought medical help.

She says she couldn't go to the hospital the night it happened, so she tried sleeping with the vibrator inside ... but the toy continued to buzz throughout the night. As you'd imagine, that made for some serious tossing and turning.

When she finally went to the hospital the next morning, she says doctors struggled to get it out, and the only option was a surgical procedure.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man charged in an on-stage attack of comedian Dave Chappelle has now also been charged with the attempted murder of a roommate months earlier, authorities said Thursday.

Isaiah Lee, 23, has pleaded not guilty in the December stabbing that occurred during a fight at a Los Angeles transitional living facility, the LA County District Attorney’s Office said.

The publicity that followed the Chappelle incident helped lead to Lee’s identification and arrest in the previous attack, prosecutors said.

A message left with the county public defender’s office seeking comment from an attorney for Lee was not immediately returned.

Lee was arrested May 3 after allegedly rushing the stage and tackling Chappelle during his stand-up set at the Hollywood Bowl.

He was carrying a replica handgun with a large blade that folded out of it similar to a pocket knife, according to police, who released a photo of the weapon.

Chappelle was not hurt, and finished the show that was part of the “Netflix Is a Joke” comedy festival.

Lee pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor charges of battery, possessing a deadly weapon with intent to assault, and two counts related to interfering with a public event. He has remained jailed since the attack.

TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - 4 men from Texarkana have been arrested on alleged drug 4 firearm crimes.

U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas Brit Featherston announced the following arrests on Thursday, May 19:

Deablo Deshon Lewis, AKA Pablo Lew, 31
Michael Darnell Peacock, AKA Fruit, 37
Terrance Lamar Peacock, AKA T, 31
Justin Marshall Owens, 40

A federal grand jury indicted the four men back on March 10. According to the indictment, starting in November of 2018 & continuing through March of 2022, the 4 men allegedly conspired with each other & others to distribute fentanyl, meth, U-47700 & marijuana. They also allegedly carried, used & possessed firearms during this time.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says as a result of their actions, 3 people died & another was seriously injured. Officials say the 4 men are responsible for dealing around $5 million worth of drugs.

“The counterfeit oxycodone pills--sometimes known as ‘blues’ or ‘M30s’--that were distributed in the Texarkana area contain deadly fentanyl,” said Featherston. “Increasingly, we are seeing more street drugs with deadly fentanyl added to them & it is killing the users. More people need to be aware of this increasing trend that can kill the recreational drug user. Simply put, one pill can kill!”

If convicted, the men could face anywhere from 25 years to life in federal prison.

COBB COUNTY, Ga. (WSB-TV) — The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office is responding to complaints about conditions inside the jail after lawyers for rapper Young Thug called them “torturous.”

Attorneys representing the rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, said the solitary confinement cell that he is being held in is inhumane.

Williams was arrested last week after he was named in a sweeping gang indictment. The Fulton County District Attorney’s office has accused a gang the rapper is said to have founded, Young Slime Life, is actually a criminal street gang responsible for up to 85% of crime in the community.

On Friday, attorneys filed an emergency bail motion, saying the rapper was being held in a concrete cell with no windows and that he wasn’t being allowed to bathe, exercise or interact with anyone but his lawyers. The complained that he has no access to the media, radio or television.

Channel 2′s Michael Seiden was the only reporter who was granted access to the jail Tuesday, where he stood just feet from where Young Thug is being held.

“This is a jail, it is a detention center. It’s not the Ritz Carlton, so you have to recognize that,” one jail official said.

Cameras were limited inside the jail, but Seiden did see Young Thug in isolation but wasn’t allowed to speak to him. The rapper is one of about seven inmates that are being held in isolation.

Members of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference were also given access to the jail.

Jail officials said that Williams is being held in isolation for his own safety.

“The purpose of today is to let the community know that we’re not doing anything that we don’t want them to see,” Col. Temetris Atkins said. “We run an above-board jail and we want anybody and everybody to know that.”

Young Thug’s attorney told Seiden that the rapper will be in court over that emergency bond hearing next Monday.

‘BMF’ star Lil Meech allegedly stole a $250,000 Richard Mille watch and got caught ... leading to his arrest for grand theft.

The 22-year-old actor/rapper -- handpicked by 50 Cent to star as his dad, Big Meech, in the Starz ‘BMF’ series -- got booked on two counts of first-degree grand theft and a separate count of organized fraud on March 14.

Cops say the actor walked into Miami's Haimov Jewelers back in February and put a down payment on the Richard Mille using his $80,000 platinum Rolex, but he allegedly failed to pay the remaining $200K balance and never returned the watch.

Cops also accuse him of trying to trade the watch for a different Richard Mille piece at a different store.

Records show Meech was released on bond the same day he was arrested. Lil Meech hasn’t reacted to charges publicly, but he recently posted an Instagram photoshoot to let fans know he’s unbothered.

Season 2 of ‘BMF’ is set to begin filming in Atlanta, and 50 hopefully doesn’t have to subtract Lil Meech from the equation.

Travis Scott is making sure hundreds of Black college students walk across the commencement stage with their diploma ... with a 7-figure donation.

The rapper awarded $1 million in scholarships to 100 students at HBCUs who are on track to graduate in the Class of 2022 ... ensuring they cross the finish line & aren't affected by last-minute financial hurdles.

The soon-to-be grads are each getting a $10,000 scholarship from Travis' previously-established Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund & the recipients finished their final semester with at least a 3.5 GPA.

Among the scholars ... Florida A&M University pharmacy major Nisha Encarnacion, who is from the U.S. Virgin Islands & paid her own way through college while supporting her mother & daughter, Fisk University computer science major Chisom Okwor, whose goal is to help transform developing countries in Africa & North Carolina Central University broadcast journalism major Jordan Massey, who took on a ton of debt to get his communications degree.

Travis' sister, Jordan Webster, manages the scholarship fund ... an

d she recently graduated as well, with a degree from Howard University.

Travis' donations went to seniors at 38 HBCUs ... including Alabama A&M University, Central State University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, Texas Southern University, Grambling State University, Xavier University of Louisiana & Prairie View A&M University.

The $1 million worth of scholarships is part of Travis' Project HEAL, which as we first reported, was announced back in March & included $5 million in earmarks.

Remember ... Project HEAL was one of Travis' first public philanthropic since the tragic Astroworld concert last November, which saw 10 people die as a result of injuries sustained during Travis' set.

The families of the victims killed in the Buffalo massacre are getting a lot of help in the wake of this tragedy -- both on the crowdfunding front ... but, possibly, on the civil side too.

Fundraisers have been organized in the aftermath of Saturday's mass shooting -- which claimed the lives of 10 people after 18-year-old Payton Gendron opened fire in a supermarket in an attack that was rooted in racial hatred.

One of the campaigns was organized by Keith Blakely, CEO of OnCore Golf Technology, and has already raised around $100k.

Blakely tells TMZ ... the money came in over the course of a few days, with more than 1,400 donors making contributions ranging from $5 to $5k. Blakely says the $100k goal seemed like a tall order at first, but now ... he's aiming to give each family $10,000.

Blakely says he's teamed up with the Mayor's Office to help distribute the money ASAP. He tells us celebs have chipped in, but won't say who ... but he tipped his hand and said athletes have really stepped up.

Other GFMs have been started ... one for the Tops store, another for the slain security guard, yet another for victims' families and a 4th for resource deliveries to victims and members of the community who might be affected.

While all that dough is great, there might be an even larger amount on the horizon thanks to Ben Crump and his team ... he's already been retained by the family of Ruth Whitfield -- one of the oldest victims killed in Saturday's massacre.

Sources tell us Crump is looking to represent as many families as possible ... which we're told may include suing the gun manufacturer of the weapon used in the attack ... an AR-15-style rifle with a high capacity magazine.

We're told a massive civil suit could be brewing that'd be similar to the one filed in the Sandy Hook case, where the families received a $73 million settlement against the gunmaker, Remington.
