Ice Cube, DJ Drama and DJ Drama served as hosts and judges at the final stop of Coors Light Search for the Coldest Event held at Stage 48 in New York City on Thursday (August 7th).
The contest covered eight cities, had 3,000 entries and more than 270,000 fans voted online. In the end Chicago's Mr. Hyde was crowned the Coldest MC. He was awarded $20,000.
"We saw a lot of talented MCs on this year's Search for the Coldest tour," said Ice Cube in a press release. "As an MC myself, I love seeing the next generation of hip-hop emerge, and it's great that Coors Light continues to support hip-hop."
The Elite Money Empire was in the building to capture the action.
The Elite Money Empire (@EMETakeover) Presents to you: The Coors Light Search for the Coldest Event in NYC hosted by Bun B (@BunBTrillOG), Ice Cube (@IceCube) and DJ Drama (@DJ Drama) with Big Sean (@BigSean) as headlining act. During the final stop during "The Search for the Coldest" they spoke on how they felt about the search for the coldest MC and about Coors thorough campaign. After Bun B and Ice Cube made surprise performances of classic material. Bun B performed songs such as "Get Throwed" and "Big Pimpin" covering Pimp C's verses with the help of the crowd. He also performed "Country Shit", "Sippin on Some Sizzurp" and more. Ice Cube performed "Today Was A Good Day" and classic N.W.A. material. The final act, Big Sean, killed his set performing "Show Out", "Burn", "Guap", "Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay" and his latest hit "Beware."

Machine Gun Kelly stopped by Invasion Radio recently to talk to DJ Green Lantern and Boss Lady about his latest mixtape, Black Flag.
During the interview Kelly expressed some frustration at not getting the recognition he feels he deserves as being of the best spitters out currently.
"I think it's a legitimate fact that Machine Gun Kelly inspired a lot of performers in Hip Hop. As far as how we perform in Hip Hop," Kelly said. "I feel like I'm denied access to even being in the class of Hip Hop. If I'm honestly not considered in the top ten lyricists of right now. You can't tell my fans that there's a better rapper than Machine Gun Kelly. Hands down, there's no way I'm not in the top five [rappers today]. It just makes no sense"
