— Yonhap News Agency (@YonhapNews) June 21, 2014SEOUL, South Korea (Associated Press) — A South Korean soldier was at large late Saturday night after killing five comrades and wounding another five at the border with North Korea, South Korean media reported.
South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported that a South Korean army private fled with a weapon after opening fire on his comrades earlier Saturday night at an outpost in Gangwon province, east of Seoul. South Korean military officials didn't immediately return calls seeking more details.
Thousands of soldiers from the rival Koreas square off along the world's most heavily armed border.
There was no indication that North Korea was involved. But tensions have been high recently, with North Korea staging a series of missile and artillery drills and threatening South Korea's leader. The rivals have also traded fire along their disputed maritime border in the Yellow Sea. South Korea has repeatedly vowed to respond with strength if provoked by the North.
Shootings happen occasionally at the border. Last year, South Korean soldiers shot and killed a man they believed was trying to cross from the South into North Korea.
The Korean Peninsula is still technically in a state of war as the 1950-53 Korean War ended with an armistice, not a peace treaty. Nearly 30,000 U.S. soldiers are stationed in South Korea as a deterrent against North Korean aggression.

Troy Ave surprised everyone when he brought T.I. onstage during his Summer Jam 2014 performance. It may have appeared to be one of the O.G's in the game saluting a fast rising star, but it could actually be much deeper than that.
During an interview with MTV's Rob Markman this week, Tip hinted that Troy might be the next addition to his Grand Hustle roster.
“I can say that it is a possibility,” T.I. said. “In the near future there could be some announcements made. In the near future there could be, among others. I’m sure the music would be phenomenal,” T.I. said of prospective collaborations with Troy. “But I think above all I want to work with people that the industry would otherwise have a hard time working with. I want to work with the people that the industry may not know how to communicate with or might not know how to perceive. I wanna be able to translate for them to the industry and vice versa."
A sign of the kind of music we might expect to hear if Troy decides to align himself with T.I. arrived this week in the form of a remix to the BSB Records CEO's single, "Your Style," which also featured Puff Daddy and Ma$e.

Former G-Unit artist Lil Scrappy spent a lot of time around 50 Cent when he was recording his debut album, Bred 2 Die, Born 2 Live, which was executive produced by the "In Da Club" hit maker.
During that time Scrappy saw enough to convince that 50 is not the kind of person you want to get on the bad side of.
"50 the last of his kind," Scrappy told Vlad TV. "You know when they be like, 'they gave the wrong nigga money?' That nigga is a smart ass, intelligent goon. And he real as fuck too. Sometimes people get it confused 'cause motherfucker's ain't used to real. So when a motherfucker ain't used to real and they see real, they think a nigga acting. Famed R&B singer Joe opens up about being mentioned on 50 Cent's How to Rob, where the Queens rapper said, "I figured it out, n*ggas been robbing Joe before. That's why his ass don't wanna be a player no more." Joe laughed off the situation and said he never spoke to 50 about the mention.
The "I Wanna Know" singer added that he's glad 50 didn't go in on him like he did other artists like Blackstreet, and was happy, not bothered, by the rapper putting his name in a song.

Nearly two weeks after almost losing his life in a deadly car crash on the New Jersey Turnpike, Tracy Morgan has recovered enough to be released from the hospital.
"Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks," according to his publicist Lewis Kay. "While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go."
Tracy suffered a broken femur, broken ribs and a broken nose when a Walmart big rig hit the limo bus he was riding in on June 7, causing it to overturn.
Fellow comedian James McNair was killed in the crash.
