MTV continues to roll out their list of the Hottest MC's in the Game as we countdown to No. 1. Today three more artists names were added.
24-year old Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky was one of the most talked about emcees of 2012. His debut album Long.Live.A$AP made it's debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts with sales of 139,000 copies when it was released in January 2013.
By that time he had already dropped two hot singles with "Goldie" and "F*ckin Problems" in 2012. He was also featured on Schoolboy Q's "Hands on the Wheel" and the remix to Rihanna's "Cockiness."
Add to that his successful Long Live A$AP Tour, and that was enough to place him at No. 8 on MTV's list.
Kanye West is next up on the list landing at No. 8. The Louis Vuitton Don didn't have a solo album in 2012, but he kept his name ringing by releasing the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer, which produced the hit singles "Mercy," "Clique," "New God Flow" and the remix to Chief Keef's "I Don't Like."
West made guest appearances on 2 Chainz's "Birthday Song" and the remix to Rihanna's "Diamonds."
Yeezy also successfully took over Europe for part of the year with Jay-Z on the Watch the Throne tour.
Is No. 7 a good spot for Kanye?
Big Sean is an interesting choice for No. 6 on the Hottest MC's in the Game list. The Detroit rapper didn't have an album out in 2012, but he did release the Detroit mixtape which featured "Mula." He also dropped the single "Guap."
He appeared on "Mercy" with Kanye West, 2 Chainz and Pusha T. Sean was also featured on "Clique" with Kanye West and Jay-Z.
In your opinion was that enough to rank him so high on the list? The brain trust at MTV certainly thinks so.
Troy Ave and his BSB crew will be releasing their collaborative mixtape later on today via LiveMixtapes. In the meantime check out this Tha Bizness-produced track "So Ambitious" featuring Brick Star Boyz member Avon Blocksdale.

When casual fans think of the best player currently in the NBA they usually pick either Kobe Bryant or LeBron James. It's easy to see why. Both of those players have won championships and are born leaders.
Bryant has five championships in seven trips to the NBA Finals. James finally got his first in three tries last June.
Michael Jordan recently picked Bryant over James because in his mind winning more rings is the easiest way to measure greatness and Kobe agreed.
"I don't understand what the big hype [is]. It's real. It's real talk. I mean, we're in it to win championships, period," Bryant said on SiriusXM's "Off the Dribble" recently. "When I was growing up, [Shaquille O'Neal] and myself, we were both measured by championships," said Bryant. "For us it was championship or bust. It wasn't about MVPs, it wasn't about numbers. It was about, if you don't win a championship this year, you're a failure."
So does the talk about the best player in the NBA exclude Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder? The 6'9 All-Star doesn't have a ring, but he has led the Thunder to a championship series in 2012, where the Miami Heat beat them 4 games to 1.
Although he doesn't have a ring yet, Durant does have all the other intangibles to at least be in the conversation as one of the best players, if not the best in the NBA.
Since entering the league 5 years ago out of the University of Texas, Durant has won Rookie of the Year, made All-NBA First Team three times, is the seventh player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring three consecutive seasons, is a 4-time All-Star, won the All-Star game MVP in 2012 and as a member of the U.S. national teams won gold medals in the 2010 World Championship and the 2012 London Olympics.
His career averages are 26.6 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.3 spg.
Durant recently sat down with ESPN's Magic Johnson to talk about his friendship with LeBron what it will take for the Thunder to win its first NBA championship.
Thisis50 & Young Jack Thriller recently spoke with Joe Budden for an exclusive interview!

He also says he wasn't there to fight, just to talk. But now that he had the conversation with him, if he does it again, he will approach him in a "Different" way.
Future definitely made his mark in 2012. With the release of his debut album Pluto, the Atlanta rapper had the clubs jumping with "Tony Montana," "Neva End" "Same Damn Time" and "Turn On the Lights."
Future has also become a go to hook man. He's appeared on records with DJ Drama, Ace Hood, Pusha T, Rihanna and Lil Wayne with his signature singing style.
In the minds of the people over at MTV that was enough to earn him the No. 9 spot on their Hottest MC's in the Game list.
Do you think Future deserves the No. 9 spot? Or should he be placed higher?
Meek Mill established himself in 2012 as an emcee to keep an eye on. The Philadephia rapper dropped his debut album Dreams and Nightmares which spawned the hits "Amen" and "Young & Getting It."
He also released the second installment of his Dreamchasers mixtape series. That project included the songs "Racked Up Shawty," "House Party (Remix)," and "Burn."
Throw in his numerous collaborations and Meek has landed at No. 9 on MTV'sHottest MC's in the Game list.
One of the best wide receivers to ever step on an NFL field is having some major problems with the Internal Revenue Service off of it.
According to TMZ, a federal tax lien was filed against Terrell Owens in February. The IRS alleges he owes $438,913.52 after failing to pay $294,661.71 in 2005, $46,504.00 in 2007 and $97,747.81 in 2009.
After 15 years the league Owens has been unable to find a team that will sign him after being let go by the Cincinatti Bengals after the 2010 season. That year he played in 14 games and caught 72 passes for 983 yards and 9 touchdowns, proving he could still play at a high level.
In 2011, Owens had surgery to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in one of his knees. That, along with the fact that he developed a reputation for being a bad influence in the locker room may have scared teams off from signing him.
Funeral Fabolous continues to promote his latest mixtape The Soul Tape 2 by releasing an official music video for "B.I.T.E." The clip was directed by M-Vision Films.
