Wyclef Jean and Lauryn Hill were a part of the celebrated rap group The Fugees. They were also lovers despite the fact that Jean was married at the time.
Over the years many have speculated as to the real reason the group disbanded. Jean has decided to come clean in a new book he's written titled "Purpose: An Immigrant's Story," which the New York Post got a look at.
In the book Jean writes that Hill led him to believe that he was the father of her first child. As it turns out the real father was Bob Marley’s son, Rohan.
“In that moment something died between us. I was married and Lauryn and I were having an affair, but she led me to believe that the baby was mine, and I couldn’t forgive that.” Jean writes.
Jean blames Hill's lie for the break up of The Fugees after just two albums. The second one being the six times platinum 1996 classic The Score.
"She could not longer be my muse,” Jean wrote. “Our love spell was broken.”
"Purpose: An Immigrant's Story" will be released tomorrow, September 18. You can grab a copy from Amazon.

Looks like it's going to be a bumpy ride this season on American Idol. According to TMZ, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj couldn't make it through the first day of taping Sunday without showing their disdain for one another.
"These girls just don't like each other." a source told TMZ.
The two divas spent much of Sunday's taping interrupting each other.
When Nicki started critiquing a contestant, Mariah would interrupt -- not once, but many times. Each time Mariah interrupted, Nicki fought back by loudly talking over Mariah.
The fireworks could make for great tv, or turn out to be a disaster for American Idol. The show is shelling out big bucks for their new judges hoping for an increase in ratings.
When Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell had their famous spats the audience at home seemed to enjoy it. A.I. executives can only hope for similar results this season.
Keith Urban is the third judge on this year's panel.

The Diggy Simmons/J. Cole beef marches onward as Diggy releases his new diss record "Fall Down" (above) aimed at the Roc Nation rapper.. For those of you who may be wondering where all this is coming from, it started when J. Cole released a record titled "Purple Rain" in 2010. In the song Cole makes sublimal disses aimed at Diggy's sister, Vanessa Simmons.
“Good girl huh, father was a preacher/ sent her off to college thought I got her on a leash though / from the outside though, them girls be the squeakiest / you get ‘em inside them girls be the freakiest. -J.Cole "Purple Rain"

In April of this year Diggy responded by releasing the J. Cole diss track "What You Say To Me?"

In June the two rappers met face to face at KMEL’s Summer Jam in San Francisco, California, At that point the beef was reportedly squashed, but Cole reignited it by dissing the 17-year old Simmons a week ago during a freestyle at a concert in Charlotte by making fun of Diggy's record sales on his debut album Unexpected Arrival.
"Picture me hating on a young n*gga with talent/Album flopped, but it's cool, he caked out on his allowance," rapped Cole.

So there you have it. Where this all goes from here is anybody's guess.
