Video After The Jump

Shantel Jackson has filed a lawsuit against former fiance Floyd Mayweather Jr, alleging he abused her during their relationship.

With her attorney Gloria Allred by her side, Shantel held a news conference Thursday, September 4, and read a prepared statement.

"I loved Floyd deeply, but he continued to disappoint and intentionally hurt me," Shantel said. "I have been embarrassed and humiliated more than I could ever imagine by Floyd, who I once called my best friend and fiance. I have tried everything I could. I have given Floyd every opportunity to do the right thing.  Unfortunately, he has refused every opportunity to make things right. It is with a heavy heart that I finally realized that the only way to set the record straight, and to achieve justice for what he has done to me is through filing of this lawsuit."

12351068670?profile=original

Shantel is suing the boxing champion for harassment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, battery, defamation, invasion of privacy and assault.

TMZ reports that Floyd allegedly got violent with Shantel on three occasions.

In 2012 he "twisted [her] arm, choked her and forcibly took her phone away from her to look through it," after being released from jail for domestic violence against his baby's mother.

In 2013 he "bent her arm, restrained her, and pointed a gun at her foot, asking 'Which toe do you want me to shoot?'"

After that attack he pointed a gun at her and demanded she give back a 17-carat engagement ring.

In February 2014, Shantel alleges Floyd held her against her will for an hour at his Los Angeles condo at the Ritz.

12351068857?profile=original

In May 2014 PBF melted down when he released Shantel's ultrasound photo, claiming the reason he broke up with her is because she had an abortion

The real reason me and Shantel Christine Jackson @missjackson broke up was because she got a abortion, and I’m totally against killing babies. She killed our twin babies," Floyd wrote.at the time.

12351069455?profile=original

Floyd later apologized via TMZ, saying he was "devastated" to find out Shantel was dating his good friend Nelly

Nelly responded by calling Floyd a liar, insisting the two had never been friends.

12351070459?profile=original

The amount of damages Shantel is seeking were not disclosed.

Video After The Jump

It's been a while since Mike Jones and Bone Crusher have any noise on the music scene. Although both had hit records that put them on the map.

Bone's 2003 smash "Never Scared" had trunks rattling from coast to coast, as did Jones'  2004 single "Still Tippin." Since then neither rapper has made much impact.

12351065901?profile=original

The two will step back onto the map when they battle each other at New World Order 2, September 28, at The Atrium in Stone Mountain, Georgia.

12351066452?profile=original

The match up is on the undercard of the Fredro Starr vs. Keith Murray battle.

Who are you picking to win?

Legendary comedienne Joan Rivers has passed away at the age of 81.

Rivers was having throat surgery at Yorkville Endoscopy on August 28, when she stopped breathing and went into cardiac arrest. She was rushed to New York City’s Mount Sinai Hospital, where she fell into a coma.

On Thursday, September 4, her daughter Melissa Rivers made the decision to take her mom off of life support.

12351069890?profile=original

The New York State Department of Health has launched an investigation into Yorkville Endoscopy to find out what happened during what was supposed to be routine surgery.

“The state department of health is investigating the matter,” a Department of Health official told Fox News. “It’s a full investigation of the matter… Since it’s an ongoing investigation I can’t comment on what we’re looking at.”

WASHINGTON (Associated Press) — The Justice Department plans to open a wide-ranging investigation into the practices of the Ferguson, Missouri, Police Department following the shooting last month of an unarmed black 18-year-old by a white police officer in the St. Louis suburb, a person briefed on the matter said Wednesday night.

The person said the investigation could be announced as early as Thursday afternoon. Missouri officials were notified Wednesday of the probe.

The investigation will look at the practices in the past few years of the police department, including patterns of stops, arrests and use-of-force, as well as the training the officers receive, the person said.

The inquiry is separate from an ongoing civil rights investigation the Justice Department is conducting into the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown by Officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9. A local grand jury is also investigating the shooting, which set off about two weeks of unrest in the streets of Ferguson and became a flashpoint in the national discussion of police treatment of minorities across the country. Attorney General Eric Holder two weeks ago visited the St. Louis suburb, where he met with investigators and Brown's parents and shared personal experiences of having himself been mistreated by the police.

12351063053?profile=original

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation, first reported by The Washington Post, had not yet been announced.

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson did not immediately return a call seeking comment about the Justice Department investigation.

Police have said the shooting followed a scuffle that broke out after Wilson told Brown and a friend to move out of the street and onto a sidewalk. Police say Wilson was pushed into his squad car and physically assaulted. Some witnesses have reported seeing Brown's arms up in the air before the shooting in an act of surrender. An autopsy paid for by Brown's family concluded that he was shot six times, twice in the head.

12351063464?profile=original

Michael Brown (Left) and Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson

The new investigation, though, goes far beyond the circumstances of the shooting. It will look at the actions of a police department that is predominantly white even though Ferguson is about 70 percent black.

Some in Ferguson have said police disproportionately target black motorists during traffic stops. A 2013 report by the Missouri attorney general's office found that Ferguson police stopped and arrested black drivers nearly twice as frequently as white motorists but were also less likely to find contraband among the black drivers.

12351063692?profile=original

The Justice Department's civil rights division routinely investigates individual police departments when there are allegations of systemic use-of-force violations, racial bias or other problems. The department says it's opened more than twice as many investigations into police department in the past five years as were opened in the previous five years. Among those that have recently come under investigation is the Albuquerque, New Mexico, department, which was the subject of a harshly critical report in April that faulted the police for a pattern of excessive force and called for an overhaul of its internal affairs unit.

Normally, the federal investigation encourages significant changes to policies and practices. The investigations sometimes end in an agreement known as a consent decree, which lays out changes that the department must make.

Blu Cantrell melted down Wednesday, September 3. The singer was spotted running through a neighborhood in Santa Monica, California, screaming that she had been given poisonous gas by someone, according to TMZ.

The incident happened at 2 in the morning and prompted a 911 call by a witness. When police arrived Blu, real name Tiffany Cobb, continued to act strangely. She asked if they knew who she was and referred to herself as a "one hit wonder."

12351065272?profile=original

Cops took her to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. Her current condition is unknown.

The 38-year old singer burst onto the music scene in 2001 with her debut album, So Blu, led by the hit single "Hit Em Up Style (Oops)."

12351065098?profile=original

Blu was unable to duplicate that success on her 2003 album, Bittersweet. She has been M.I.A. from the music scene for some time.
