Change in life is inevitable. Even the best of friends and even business associates can drift apart. That appears to be what happened between Cassidy and super producer Swizz Beatz.
The duo that once had clubs jumping with songs like "I'm A Hustla" are no longer on speaking terms according to Cassidy.
The Hustla vented earlier this week about the situation via twitter, saying he can't get Swizz to answer his calls.
"@THEREALSWIZZZ don't even answer my calls anymore: we ain't speak in over a year: I thought we was fam, but times change, Smh. That's why I changed.. Ain't no love loss.. It is what it is," Cas wrote. "It's never a war, I'm just speaking my mind.. How can we talk if you never pick up, You said you let me do my own thing ASAP, but what does that have to do wit communicating, since I'm doing my own thing you don't talk to me anymore.. Thats crazy."
Before dropping the subject Cassidy said the only reason he even used the social networking site was to communicate with Swizz.
The duo's last hit collaboration was 2007's "My Drink N My Two Step" off of Cassidy's 'B.A.R.S.' album.

The Miami Heat pulled off a dramatic come from behind win in Chicago last night setting up a showdown against the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals.
The series will feature Miami's big three Chris Bosh, Lebron James and Dwayne Wade vs the Mavericks's Dirk Nowitski and a solid supporting cast that includes Jason Kidd, Shawn Marion and Jason Kidd.
Dallas would seem to have the edge in overall team depth, but as we saw during their playoff matchups against the Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics and Chicago Bulls, the Heat don't need much more than their trio of all stars.
Game 1 of the best of 7 series will be in Miami on Tuesday, May 31 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
So who do you like to win the championship?
The Lil Kim vs Nicki Minaj beef has been cooking for months with no end in sight. Both ladies have taken shots at each other on wax and Twitter. Who's winning the war would depend on who you ask, but there's at least one person who would like to see the feud end.
While out in the UK for the Gumball 3000 road rally, Philadelphia rapper Eve spoke with BBC Radio 1xtra host Tim Westwood about the beef and the need for more females in the game.
“You know, it's definitely a nice group of females that's out representing, but because I come from hip-hop, I need more females in hip-hop," said Eve. "Nicki definitely is holding the flag down, and a lot of people be wanting me to hate just because that's how girls supposed to do in hip-hop, but I'm loving everything she does. But we need more females, man. There's too much testosterone in the hip-hop game."
When asked directly about the situation currently going on between Kim and Nicki, Eve had this to say.
“I need her to stop. If I was Kim's friend, I'd be like, yo. ‘cause she's Kim, period. So she never has to feed [into the beef]. She shouldn't. It's bad. It's not a good look," she said. "If I was her friend, I'd tell her, yo, just come back bigger and better. The best way to get at people is to do you better than you've ever done you. So that's it.”
After a long hiatus Eve has been making her presence felt recently with guest appearances with Ludacris, Alicia Keys and frequent collaborator Swizz Beatz.
It's expected that she will be releasing her fourth solo album 'Lip Lock' sometime this year.

Whats should have been a normal case of a parent discipling his teen daughter almost turned deadly in Tahuya, Washington.
Police there say a 15-year old girl upset that her father had taken away her cell phone and grounded her, shot him with a compound bow in the torso seriously wounding him. After shooting him she refused to let him use the phone to call 911, forcing him to crawl to a neighbors house for help according to Q13Fox.
The teen then fled into the woods armed with her bow and 35 more arrows.
A SWAT team working with the sheriff's department eventually tracked her down. A detective said the girl was found "to be despondent with a serious medical issue.”
The father had to be airlifted to a local hospital where he underwent surgery to remove the bow. He is said to be in serious condition.
The girl was admitted to a local hospital with an undisclosed ailment. She will be sent to a juvenile detention center when she is released.
This is some trifling stuff right here... SMFH.

Prior to his federal indictment last week on gun and conspiracy charges, rapper B.G. sat down with Mikey T The Movie Star for an interview. The Chopper City Records CEO talked about a wide variety of subjects, ranging his career status, influencing T.I.'s career, and the possibility of a Hot Boys reunion.
How was it working with T.I. under Grand Hustle?
T.I. was like I was one of the reasons he rapped. He was like 'man I used to be sitting in the trap bumping all your sh*t.' 'Cause I had put out like six solo albums under Cash Money before we even got our deal. So he was like 'man I used to listen to that sh*t.'
Is there going to be a Hot boys album this or next year?
As far as I'm concerned all of us say we ready, all of us say we with it. The whole wanna see it. It's a business move, me and Baby talk all the time. Me and Weezy always been like brothers. Me and Juve don't talk like that, but Turk about to get out. He's been gone about 7 years and six months.

"Your criminal history goes back to 1988. It’s going to continue until you take care of your mental health,” Judge Mulleneaux told the rapper at the time.
Under the terms of his release, X will be under supervised watch until August 12, 2011.
This latest trip to the pen is the 13th for the Yonkers, New York emcee. His maximum prison sentence ends on August 25th according to court records.

To stage what will be the first event of this type in Waterford City will create a whole new dynamic to the destination that is Waterford City.
Not only will the City be hosting the Tall Ships Festival with three nights of concerts but only a few weeks later this event will take place attracting so many concert goers to the City. Dr Dre's 'Detox' album is one of the most anticipated in years for rap fans, but after two singles "Kush" and "I Need A Doctor" there is no release date in sight.
One of Dre's frequent collaborators, Snoop Dogg spoke with Tim Westwood about the project and was very blunt in his assessment of what needs to be done for the album to finally see the light of day.
"It's a formula, when we made records in the past it was always girls, it was always party, it was always the right atmosphere to create that type of album that sounds like the albums you have heard in the past," Snoop told the BBC radio host. "If there's not that atmosphere you can't create that kind of album. So that's what's happening right now -- the songs don't match the atmosphere and the atmosphere don't match the songs."
'The Chronic' and 'The Chronic 2001' featured lots of collaborations with artists from the old Death Row Records days. People like Kurupt, Daz Dillinger, Nate Dogg, Snoop, RBX, Lady Of Rage and D.O.C. heavily influenced the sound of those classic albums. Snoop thinks those key ingredients were vital and are not there anymore.
"What we're accustomed to hearing from Dr Dre is the brand new next best everything, and right now people are not getting that," Snoop continued. "He knows that... he's a perfectionist, until he gets that he's not going to release it because he doesn't want the scrutiny of people saying 'ah I waited this long for that?'
"He's got a strong work ethic, but I'mma say this and I don't know if it's gonna ruffle any feathers. I just think the wrong people are in the environment. When he made records that were hit records in the past, D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, RBX, Kurupt -- it's like it's pieces that's not there that need to be there. And I'll say D.O.C. and Snoop Dogg is the backbone. When you take those two out of the equation it's not gonna work. You need to put them two back into the situation and let us mastermind and the project like did Chronic and 2001. That's what's missing."
Wow, that's the most direct statements we've heard on the real reasons behind the 'Detox' delay. Kind of makes you wonder if the album will still come out this year.
