There's no end in sight for Gucci Mane's legal troubles. Last week the 1017 Brick Squad CEO was indicted on federal gun charges. Now today comes news that he has been named in the wrongful death lawsuit of Brick Squad's Slim Dunkin.
Dunkin, real name Mario Hamilton, was a promising rapper and close friend of Waka Flocka Flame, when he was shot and killed by another rapper named Young Vito during a fight over a piece of candy at an Atlanta recording studio in December 2011.
He was transferred to Grady Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Dunkin was 24-years old.
After briefly going on the run and cutting off his dreads to avoid detection Vito, real name Vinson Hardimon, was arrested and charged with Dunkin's murder.
In February 2013 he was acquitted of the murder case, but found guilty of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm. He was given 25 years behind the bars by Fulton County Superior Court Judge, Craig Schwall.
The wrongful death lawsuit was filed Wednesday (December 11) in Fulton State County Court by Dunkin's father, Mark Hamilton, according to the Atlanta Constitution Journal.
The complaint claims that Dunkin was preparing to shoot a music video with Gucci, whose real name is Radric Davis, at Zone 6 studio at the time of his death.
At this point it's unclear why Gucci was named in the suit.

Kanye West wasn't in the mood to hear a fan repeatedly ask him to take off his Maison Martin Margiela mask, so he had her kicked out of his show in San Antonio at the AT&T Center on Sunday, Dec. 8.
The rapper was in the middle of his rants during during "Runaway," which happen nightly on his current Yeezus tour when the fan began to annoy him with her request.
"You can see my face on Kodak ever motherf*cking day," West told her. "You're trying to tell me how to give you my art."
He then launched back into the song, but it wasn't long before he was interrupted again, only this time Kanye had enough.
The rapper walked to the front of the stage, pointed the fan out and gave a hand signal to security to remove her from the audience. As she was being escorted out West had a nuclear moment.
"Do I look like a motherf*cking comedian to you? Don't f*cking heckle me!" he yelled. "I'm Kanye motherf*cking West!"
The fan had a really nice, expensive seat close to the stage. Kind of silly to throw your money away be being a loud mouth.

Kanye West raised a few eyebrows when he compared the dangers of his rap career to being a police officer or in the military.
As we previously reported, West made the comments during an interview with Saturday Night Online over the weekend.
"I'm giving my body on the stage and putting my life at risk," Kanye said. "I think about when I'm on the 'Can't Tell Me Nothing/Coldest Winter' moment. That mountain goes really, really high. And if I slip you never know. And I think about my family like, 'Wow, this is like being a police officer, or like war.' You literally going out to do your job every day knowing something could happen. Something can happen to you verbally from the press bashing you. Something can happen to you from people not like you anymore, or you can actually slip on that stage. But it's like we walking this tight rope and fighting for creativity, and fighting for ideas, and fighting for thought."
Brimfield, Ohio Police Chief David Oliver didn't like the comments and fired off an open letter to the "Jesus Walks" rapper this morning via his department's Facebook page.
Dear Kanye West,
I am honored to be writing such an important star. I am a mere Internet sensation. I’m not sure I am worthy to address you, although the Huffington Post did say I was “Humorous and Insanely Popular.” I don't pay much attention to those things. Anyway, please excuse my interference in your life for a quick second.
I read your interview and also watched it on video. You said:
“I’m just giving of my body on the stage and putting my life at risk, literally.….and I think about it. I think about my family and I’m like, wow, this is like being a police officer or something, in war or something.”
I want to thank you for putting your life on the line for all of us every day. I know that being a rapper is tough work. I have tried to rap, and it is very difficult to keep up with the pulse of the rhyme flow…although when Ice Ice Baby comes on the radio, I can usually keep up with ol’ Vanilla. Anywho, your job is just some very dangerous work. Most people don't consider... if you rap really fast, without a chance to inhale, you could pass out and hit your head.
That last paragraph was covered in sarcasm. I’m letting you know, just so you do not think I agree with your very ignorant assessment of your career (or any other performer)as it relates to a person in the military or a police officer’s service. You sir, are as misguided as they come. I do have a suggestion for you. Since you are accustomed to danger, from your life as an international rapper, I am strongly encouraging you immediately abandon you career as a super star and join the military. After joining, I would like you to volunteer to be deployed in Afghanistan or one of the numerous other forward locations where our men an women are currently serving. When the Taliban starts shooting at you, perhaps you could stand up and let the words flow. It could be something like “I’m Kanye West, wearing a flak vest.” I’m sure they would just drop weapons and surrender. You could quite possibly end all wars, just from the enemy being star-struck.
Your line of thinking is part of the problem in the world today….which include entertainers thinking they are something more than just entertainers. I know it is supply and demand and the demand for your services is high. I get economics. What I do not get is you EVER comparing what you do for a living to our heroic military members, who are always in harm’s way… and my brother and sister police officers who have to go to work carrying weapons and wearing a bullet-proof vest to protect themselves.

JOHANNESBURG (Associated Press) — The man accused of faking sign interpretation while standing alongside world leaders like U.S. President Barack Obama at Nelson Mandela's memorial service said Thursday he hallucinated that angels were entering the stadium, suffers from schizophrenia and has been violent in the past.
Thamsanqa Jantjie said in a 45-minute interview with The Associated Press that his hallucinations began while he was interpreting and that he tried not to panic because there were "armed policemen around me." He added that he was once hospitalized in a mental health facility for more than one year.
A South African deputy Cabinet minister, Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, later held a news conference to announce that "a mistake happened" in the hiring of Jantjie.
Government officials have tried to track down the company that provided Thamsanqa Jantjie but the owners "have vanished into thin air," said Deputy Minister of Women, Children and People with Disabilities Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu.

She apologized to deaf people offended around the world for Jantjie's incomprehensible signing, and said an investigation is under way to determine how Jantjie was hired and what vetting process, if any, he underwent for his security clearance.
The deputy minister said the translation company offered sub-standard services, the rate they paid the translator was far below the normal levels and that in order to maintain the interpreter's concentration level, interpreters must be switched every 20 minutes. Jantjie was on the stage for the entire service that lasted more than three hours.
She declined to say who in South Africa's government was responsible for contracting the company that provided the translator, or how those rules could be flouted.
"It's an interdepartmental responsibility," she said. "We are trying to establish what happened."
Jantjie, who stood gesticulating three-feet (1 meter) from Obama and others who spoke at Tuesday's ceremony that was broadcast around the world, insisted in the AP interview that he was doing proper sign-language interpretation of the speeches of world leaders.
But he also apologized for his performance that has been dismissed by many sign-language experts as gibberish.
"I would like to tell everybody that if I've offended anyone, please, forgive me," Jantjie said. "But what I was doing, I was doing what I believe is my calling, I was doing what I believe makes a difference."
The statements by Jantjie raise serious security issues for Obama, other heads of state and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon who made speeches at FNB Stadium in Soweto, Johannesburg's black township. The ceremony honored Mandela, the anti-apartheid icon and former president who died on Dec. 5. Many of them, including Obama, stood one yard (meter) away from Jantjie.
"What happened that day, I see angels come to the stadium ... I start realizing that the problem is here. And the problem, I don't know the attack of this problem, how will it comes. Sometimes I react violent on that place. Sometimes I will see things that chase me," Jantjie said.
"I was in a very difficult position," he added. "And remember those people, the president and everyone, they were armed, there was armed police around me. If I start panicking I'll start being a problem. I have to deal with this in a manner so that I mustn't embarrass my country."
Asked how often he had become violent, he said "a lot" while declining to provide details.
Jantjie said he was due on the day of the ceremony to get a regular six-month mental health checkup to determine whether the medication he takes was working, whether it needed to be changed or whether he needed to be kept at a mental health facility for treatment.
He said he did not tell the company that contracted him for the event for about $85 that he was due for the checkup, but said the owner of SA Interpreters in Johannesburg was aware of his condition.
AP journalists who visited the address of the company that Jantjie provided found a different company there, whose managers said they knew nothing about SA Interpreters. A woman answered the phone at a number that Jantjie provided and said it was not for the company, and another phone number went to a voicemail that did not identify the person or company with the number.
Jantjie said he received one year of sign language interpretation at a school in Cape Town. He said he has previously interpreted at many events without anyone complaining.
The AP showed Jantjie video footage of him interpreting on stage at the Mandela memorial service.
"I don't remember any of this at all," he said.

As we previously reported, an alleged fake sign language interpreter somehow managed to get onstage next to world leaders, including President Obama, during Nelson Mandela's memorial service in Johannesburg on Tuesday (December 10).
His hand gestures were determined to be gibberish by the national director of the Deaf Federation of South Africa.
On Wednesday Jimmy Kimmel brought a sign language expert to his show in an attempt to determine what was actually being translated.
